LET'S MEET ALL TOGETHER somewhere in the world for celebration, when a CURE is found !

Sooner or later there will be a cure for tinnitus. We hope that this will happen in a near future.
I suggest that when a cure is found, let's meet someplace in the world for a celebration.
(of course, due to the distance etc, participation would not be very high, but that's O.K.)

My suggestion for meeting point is Eiffel Tower in Paris. (I think it is a beautiful place for a celebration.)

if you have a better suggestion for a place please write..

(Note: Due to distance problem, a separate meeting point can be determined for American continent.
We can plan and arrange everything from this forum.)

And we can even have a special "salute gesture", for which we can use there for a greeting!

I'll be there, from where I live it's only a 1 hour flight and a comfortable 2 1/2 hours train ride. I just have to hop in the TGV and that's it.. Gotta love Europe for that. Everything is so close

But a cure is such a strong word. I doubt we will see "cures" in a while. And when we see, will it work for the majority or for a subset of sufferers, who knows?

What about if we meet up when an effective treatment for the majority (say, more than 50% of tinnitus sufferers) comes along? A treatment that is effective for us chronic sufferers. Maybe a treatment that halves the loudness of tinnitus?

Or any other suggestions?

Really, I'm just wanting to go to Paris with all of you folks so let's make it achievable sooner rather than how long it would take to wait for a cure that sweeps off tinnitus completely from the map!

I'm sure @Steve and @DezDog are up for this too, right? Not sure about @erik as he is not nearby. But planes fly!

Oddly enough, leaving France and flying back to the states is how I got my tinnitus. But I'm always up for a trip to beautiful Paris. Like Markku said, why wait for a cure?

Yes, Markku. You are right, 100 % cure for each and every person may not be possible.
But we can say that if a treatment of 50% success rate or a treatment which reduce T volume considerably would be enough . We can make our gathering when we achieve this success rate.

Note: But as you said, we don't have to wait for that effective treatment, and we can make a "pre-meeting" beforehand to introduce ourselves and for discussion etc. But, let it be another location.
Let's keep Paris for "great victory" ! For introduction meeting, we can set another famous place in Europe.
And another place for people in America continent.

I'm there!!!...if I'm still alive by then that is. I've been waiting for a "cure" for over 50 years...which, ahhhhh, dampens the enthusiasm a little bit.

Well, yes.. Maybe seperate meetings can be held in every continent..

However I strongly reccomend also to make one major meeting worldwide (in Paris). The reason is to think and "dream" about it until a cure is found.. "Paris" word will enpower us and give us hope.

That is a good idea, Denny! Do you have a suggestion for a place in North America that we all could meet? I'd vote for Canada or California!
