Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

The vibration started for the very first time after my 8th laser session of 18 minutes 650nm Konftec laser. It is only in my right ear and as far as I'm aware I have no low frequency damage. I also had no sound exposure or medication recently.

I feel the vibration very specifically in my right ear. I have suspended the laser when it started. The day it started I had the laser module inserted relatively deep inside the ear.

Could a laser cause something like this? My left ear is fine, my right ear is on its 5th day of vibrating.

I'm sorry, but in order for me to comment, I'll need you to answer my inquiries more specifically. Could you take a look at my previous post again?

I had an awful experience with Dr. Wilden. I was sent a defective product and it broke within a short period of use, and when I tried to send it back to get a replacement, it was stuck in customs. I received their replacement laser recently. Unfortunately a couple of days ago I also received the laser I tried sending back to Spain as a "Return To Sender". It was there waiting to be picked up and they didn't even bother. It was originally thought to be lost. What a load of bullshit.

I bought that when I was desperate. It wasn't until recently that I realized that the science was sketchy and I jumped into it too quickly before doing more research.

Don't bother doing business with Dr. Wilden. He's dishonest.

Did it ever stop vibrating? And are you still using the laser? I just got the Luci basic home laser and it has worked well for me. I'm thinking about getting a Konftec laser as well since those are more powerful. However, after reading about your experience I'm hesitant to get one now.

Hi everyone,
If anyone here is interested, I bought the new Tinnitool (100mW model) and have been using it for about a month and a half.
Unfortunately it has not helped my T so far, but it has had the interesting effect of slightly improving my hearing.

Do you have a before and after audiogram to confirm this improvement?
I don't, so consider my claim anecdotal, but what I noticed is that the 80 ohm headphones I use with my computer - which for years I used at 15% volume - is now more comfortable to use at 10% volume.
Ultimately I was looking to treat my tinnitus, not my hearing, because my hearing was fine to begin with. I knew I was taking a gamble by buying this product, but although it didn't help my tinnitus I think it could be beneficial to people with hearing loss.

I am new to the forum, and I would greatly appreciate any information related to the treatment methods and technologies of tinnitus / acoustic trauma.

I am suffering high pitch tinnitus after an acoustic trauma.. and considering treatment with doctor Dr. John A. Lieurance, who is a Doctor of Chiropractic in Sarasota FL / Advanced Rejuvenation.

He seems to be the only doctor performing laser tinnitus treatment with the original protocol developed in Germany.

I would like to know if anyone experienced positive results with this doctor because it is very expensive / or positive results with any similar treatment, either office based or home devices.

@vlad2019 I'm inclined to say don't bother. If you've had your tinnitus for several years it is very unlikely that LLLT will make any long lasting improvement. What it will do is warm up your ear canal and potentially your inner ear in much the same way a heat lamp works, which feels nice and might improve blood flow to the ear, but that's about it. I don't think it fixes damaged hair cells or auditory nerve endings. Dr Wilden seems to be the only one who thinks this is possible, when the entire rest of the medical community says it isn't.

If you really want to give it a try I'd start with something much cheaper. Look for 660nm LEDs on amazon or ebay. You'll get the same effect at a fraction of the cost.

Has anyone used low level laser therapy for pressure and blocked feeling in the ears? Can you buy it online for a decent price?
Thanks in advance!

So I have both a Konftec and a Luci basic home laser. The Luci basic laser is not as powerful but I feel that it is working better than the Konftec for my hyperacusis. My ears seem to have more tolerance for noise after using the Luci basic laser. The Konftec also gets too hot and I can't leave it in the ears for more than 10 minutes.

I'm seeing a specialist in two weeks for 15 LLLT treatments (over 2 weeks) and hope that I respond well to it. I may be wasting money but you don't know until you try...

Who on Tinnitus Talk have had favorable results?

Having fairly good results with that. My tinnitus did fade a bit thanks to home LLLT but what I've noticed is that my ears more more resilient to spikes and and dysacusis (hearing distortions) faded by 90%.

@SoundB0und had 10/10 tinnitus which improved significantly over a year of home LLLT I believe. You should talk to him.

I started LLLT & FCR with a doctor in Sarasota, FL.

I'll keep the forum updated with any progress I may have, he was trained by Dr. Wilden's son I guess. Today was my second treatment. We have a total of 15 LLLT treatments scheduled in ten business days. We are also a doing 4 (FCR) functional cranial release sessions. I have a lot of inflammation near my jaw line and also somatic tinnitus when I clinch my jaw.

In Sarasota now going for an LLLT session. 15 of them...

Do you speak from experience or just straight pessimism? Money isn't a problem for me. I'm successful...

I agree with @ajc. LLLT has never overcome the "looking very scientific but doing little or nothing" to talk about in a consistent manner. It is also used for hair loss (much easy target than the cochlea), and has also a very mediocre reputation for that kind of treatment. You are still at early stage of tinnitus, and you might improve even doing nothing. Early on T, there is a great drive to fight it and try everything that has a minimum chance to work. I hope you post your results in a few months, and provide more evidence on this treatment.

So I started clinical laser treatment in Sarasota, Florida this week. I just finished my 7th session and earlier today I noticed my tinnitus was the quietest it's been in months.

Not sure if this is all in my head, even though that's where tinnitus is LOL but I think I'm seeing some small improvements. It seems a lot thinner and less harsher of a solid tone. I also noticed last night when I slept I could not hear the tinnitus in my right ear when I was sleeping on it. Which is something else I would recognize as potential improvement. Such a rollercoaster, last night I had a spike at dinner but today much better. I have 8 thirty minute treatments to go.

I will keep the forum updated with any progress. They also prescribed a very strong CBD suppository supplement, I started those yesterday FYI.

How long have you had tinnitus? Are the somatic massages helping at all?
