Sorrry folks, Steve didn't start the Q&A yet for technical reasons... since he was asking to try the MuteButton first and now he refuses to stick the tongue patch out of his mouth... therefore he is unable to speak and refuses to communicate!

Update from Steve on the day of the Q&A!

Steve had an excellent day talking to the Neuromod people. We got plenty of footage and they got through most everything. It was time for him to leave before he knew it - time flew by fast.

He also did a video of him trying the device.

Now we have some admin matters to complete that relates to the use of the footage, in addition to editing the footage and having Neuromod preview it.

The Q&A video won't be live today, and can't even promise it will be tomorrow (seeing that this is not solely dependent on our speed). But we strive to have it done ASAP!

Now this is probably fitting from @Jack Straw ;)

Mr Krabs made his way to a research thread.

We are living in times of prosperity.

A quick note...

Day flew by, the Q&A lasted quite a while.

Yes it's legit, they are a proper company :) I tried out a demo device, quite an interesting sensation. Not for long enough to have any effect and it wasn't calibrated to my hearing profile. The track I tested was white noise based, which spikes my tinnitus (makes it reactive). It was quite interesting that my tinnitus faded down and blended as I was listening, which I presume was an effect of the combined stimulation.

Answered pretty much everything and learned a lot. Now it's down to our editing team (which consists of @Markku).

About to take off but I will write a mini report up as soon as I can and try to give some text answers to some of the questions.

@Steve thank you so much for doing this!

I apologize if I am memeing on you too much these days. The anticipation is killing me so making Tinnitus Talk meta memes helps distract me.

Yes, I know that sounds pathetic. lol

Warm thanks, Steve. :) Have a safe trip home!!

Thank you @Steve and @Markku again for all the work, I will try to stay calm because just reading that Steve's tinnitus was kind of fading and blending to the track makes me incredibly excited and even more so knowing that it wasn't calibrated for you.

Really looking forward to the answers and opinions around it... and the purchase date :borg:;)

Today I was not very anxious with this MuteButton thing. But I accidentally slept a 15 minute nap and you know what happened...

I hope the answers are available soon.
Naps spike your tinnitus?

Was a little late to the party but went through the thread and didn't see any of the following questions...

Does the device in anyway effect/reset the fusiform cells?

Does it promote/repair/create or in any other engage the vagus nerves and/or neuroplasticity?

How effective is the device in cases of somatosensory tinnitus?

Can the device help anyone suffering from Semi Superior Canal Dehisance?

Cheers
Hal

Steve, that is amazing! I often feel like an oddball because white noise spikes mine too. It's great to hear that you think it had some sort of effect.

I hope they answer the question as to when is the earliest available time we can get this even if we have to fly to Dublin. I'd happily book a trip knowing I could get this device and bring it back home.
