Some of you might have noticed that I had kind of disappeared from the forum for a long time, but I had a good reason. They say if you're going to write a book, to write about what you know. Well, I know tinnitus. :)

My original intent was to write a short book. However, I'm a researcher by nature and that intent soon bit the dust, especially regarding treatments. I gathered info from many sources, including what I learned on Tinnitus Talk. For example, two chapters are devoted to the Back to Silence method developed by @I who love music. (For those who like to dive deep, the Bibliography is a treasure trove of research material worth exploring.)

UPDATED INFO:
There was an initial period of five days during which I offered the eBook for free, to celebrate the launch. Thanks to the over 2,000 people who downloaded the eBook!

You can get the book on Amazon US or UK:

The book is also available on other Amazon sites, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain.

Writing a review not required, but definitely appreciated. That's an author's best reward. ;)

@Cheza,
So proud of you and your brilliant book.
I have downloaded it and look forward to reading it.
Well done.

Thank you so much. Just joined this forum and look forward to information and support. I've had tinnitus since 1992, but lately it has gotten worse. I sleep with ear buds on listening to "brown noise" just that I can sleep. I look forward to reading your book and perhaps find some things that can help me.

Hm, doesn't download to my Kindle, unless I sign up for Kindle Unlimited (@ $9.99/mo. !!). Or, I can purchase paperback for $17.95. Nothing happens when I press the button for downloading (for free) to my Kindle. Any ideas? thx.

UPDATE: the above was from my Windows laptop. When I tried downloading directly from my Kindle Fire, it worked just fine. So, sorry. And thank you!

Thank you so very much for this complimentary book. At over 400 pages, that will give me plenty to dip into, as you probably have discovered already tinnitus is attracting more awareness of late. Albeit slowly. It is my hope that you will be well rewarded for your efforts. I'm having a bit of a spike with my tinnitus at the moment, maybe my brain was nudging me to look into the forum after being absent for a month or so.

Available for free download on Amazon only for US and UK? In Russia, I can not download it?

Ivan, I'm sorry, but Amazon only allows it in the US and UK. I don't know why, it doesn't seem fair to me.

In the next month I'll be offering it at a reduced price, whatever will cover the cost to me for download. (Amazon charges a download fee to authors except during free promotion.)

Thank you, glynis. You've been such a helpful part of this journey. :)

I for one got it free here in Norway, but I had to use my Kindle. I think it said "Prime only", that might have something to do with it.
Thanks a lot, this is no mere pamphlet. Looking forward to reading it.

Hi

This sounds great, but when I go to the download page it seems it is Kindle book rather than a standalone ebook that I can read on my pc (or a pdf). Is there a downloadable version for people who haven't got a Kindle? My only computer is a desktop (ie. no Kindle, smart phone etc), Thanks!

@Cheza Great work! Thank you so much! :)
What was it like writing this book and diving into all the information out there? Did it change your view on tinnitus or anything else?

Same here, but for The Netherlands. I was able to buy to the "Kindle cloud" from both the Dutch and British Amazons. From there you can read it online or couple it to a Kindle (program).

You can read it by doing as I did above and use the "Kindle Cloud Reader", which basically is an in-browser reader.
You could also install the Kindle program for Mac or Windows, and couple the Kindle program to the Amazon account and it'll let you retrieve the book.

Thank you Cheza. What an accomplishment. Congratulations!
Note: from what I see one must sign up for the 30 day free trial with Unlimited Kindle in order to read your book. After which time they bill you monthly (as most of these offers go). If you don't want to be billed ongoing after 30 days, you have cancel your subscription which is easy to do on Amazon.
Thank Cheza. I look forward to the help your book offers.

Were you trying to get the book via the Read for Free button? That's the Kindle Select option.

One needs to choose the Buy Now button. See attached image. It's quite confusing, and a poorly-designed interface on Amazon's part.

I was confused as well as it looked like the buy it now option was going to cost 17+ dollars. I clicked it and figured it was worth the money only to find out it was 0 dollars after all.
