the normies find one rare autistic person that turns out to be a social success and they parade them around like
all autistic people could be like X reformed autist and if you can't something is wrong with you.

Uncle tom's of the autist community

Just like the ATA parades around William Shatner because of his "habituation is the cure" statement. They wouldn't bring your normal tinnitus sufferer let alone someone with an MPP mentality

i would not be surprised if there is actual corruption where a treatment is not economically favorable for them.

The ATA does not have our best interest in mind.

We need more Susan Shores and less Jastreboff/bullcrap.

I still wish I was dead.
This stuff just pisses me off. You don't see associations for paralyzed people parading the glories of using a wheelchair. Why should it be different for us?

Me neither. My guess is that once there.s a cure/good treatment, there won't be much more need for them to exist.

same with this forum

Tinnitus Talks goal is to rid the world of tinnitus

if there is a cure or a very effective treatment will this forum be archived and shown as a battlefield of noble MPP'ers that stood up against all odds against Dark Lord Jastreboff?

That would be the most interesting aspect for sure. I'm sure some guy who stumbled on the forum might see MPP and think that it's odd it's even on here in the first place.

the most mentally ill people on the forum turned out to be the most fruitful

@Contrast you appear to believe that posting on this forum about how TRT and habituation research sucks and is stupid and is a massive waste and impediment (and this is my opinion as well) may actually make a real world difference.
I am curious as to why this would be so. This is a friendly and genuine question.

this. THIS.

Incidentally, when I saw first saw the video of Shatner speaking about tinnitus I was very glad to see that a celebrity was acknowledging and speaking about the condition.
Then he said the ATA helped him.
Then I was waiting the entire fing video to hear HOW the ATA actually helped him.
I'm still waiting.

habituation research
Wow. Just think about these words for a second.
(yes, I know, I quoted my own post.)
Habituation research. Habituation. Research.

What??!!

Why spend extensive resources researching how to "habituate" to the problem, when you can spend those resources researching a cure to get rid of the problem!
Why. WHY??

no one posted in MPP all day

I was busy being a screwball on other corners of the internet
meanwhile you guys need a justified excuse on absence from MPP
I hope it doesn't have anything to do with work, school, family or a social life.

I think the VEMP test made me having hearing loss on both ears. Moderate hearing loss 30db on 4hz on L ear and 25db on R ear.
VEMP test is 110 decibels. I am going to go do an audiogram in October.

Maybe because there is a conspiracy in the medical industry to not cure anything and use our diseases as a way to milk us for cash.
