I had seemingly positive effects with curcumin. I also seem to have had an astounding result yesterday on 7,8 DHF. Nothing permanent yet however. Like today, right back to baseline.

One thing I have noticed is that the louder my fan is at night, the worse my tinnitus is the next day. Like the cobra effect.

I think this problem is only going to be fixed for good when and if we can regenerate the parts of our ears that dont heal naturally. Until then we have phantom limb of the inner ear.

Do you take the 7,8 DHF vitamins? Do you take that along with Curcumin? I've been looking in stores but all I find are turmeric Curcumins. I'm going to see if my PA will prescribe me Curcumin vitamins.

You dont need a prescription. I was taking straight curcumin. They sell it at health food stores, and the internet. No I'm taking 7,8 dhf by itself.

I think I know the secret to tinnitus sounds from hearing loss and it is related radio tuning principals. This explains why the high frequency t sounds sound like electronics, and why they fluctuate like an untuned radio circuit, AND why when in tune, a radio signal can have silence. It's because there is a carrier frequency as well as the frequency of the sounds you can hear. the lack of input from hair cells disrupts the carrier wave. just like a radio.

Also I'm now convinced that the cobra effect is real with tinnitus and that sleeping with white noise on all night is making our tinnitus worse.

Man it fluctuates like crazy. I use the powder. It's hard to dose that way. I cant directly attribute it to this but somehow my t was gone completely from about noon until I went to bed yesterday. I'm on it again today but my t is kinda loud.

From noon till night? That sounds like a good lasting relief! Hmm... I have had those kinds of experiences, for example with niacin, my tinnitus would completely go away, then later on get loud, then repeat, eventually it would be super loud the whole time so I stopped. I guess we'll have to experiment which gives us the best relief till the cure is out. :/

One reason is that the very high frequencies are never tested. It means that you can have normal hearing up to 8 kHz, but have a huge loss over 8 kHz.

I know for example one guy who is a musician. At 19 he had noise induced hearing loss, and he lost a lot of his high end hearing. He was able to hear up to 18 kHz, and after the noise induced hearing loss the hearing stopped at 12 kHz.


But because it is not tested, the ENT said "You have perfect hearing, don't worry ! ".

He could have a treatment at this time which could reverse his hearing loss, but because of the lack of information from the audiogram, it has not been detected, so it has not been treated.


The audiogram itself is not bad, it is the way we use it which is not good enough.

And this is exactly what happened to me too. Fck.
