My Posting Place

MPP is rapidly growing again, 2k+ views overnight.

I wish more new people joined in the fun instead of just lurking

Aye, here I am.

I don't feel that I can contribute much as of now, as most of the studies and research-info I find is already posted here and there.
If you desire my eyes and ears though, I will lend them now and then. Lurking here has been enjoyable enough.

I was wondering about the consequences fireworks would have on peoples lives these past celebrations.

Will it bring new people to our fold here? Will they stay with us and talk of the true cures?
How many will look for answers and in time be satisfied with not finding them?

yet another peer reviewed medical journal article stating bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells restores hearing in mammals.

"Deafness animal models have been used to transplant MSCs differentiated into sensory neuronlike cells27,33. Indeed a useful approach for inner ear supplementation with stem cells can be hMSCs systemic application34. For instance, the number of spiral ganglion neurons (SGNs) in guinea pig model is increased after transplantation of neural differentiated hMSCs resulting in mild hearing recovery after transplantation".

"The hearing recovery after transplantation of MSCs into the inner ear cells may be occurred through two mechanisms. First, MSCs transdifferentiation into SLF-like cells may lead to compensate for lost SLFs, and second, transplanted MSCs may stimulate the host SLFs regeneration. Both mechanisms contribute to functional recovery of damaged SLF network and thus, transplantation of MSCs into the inner ear of rats with damaged SLFs significantly accelerates hearing recovery"

"This review suggests that BMSCs are more capable to migrate and survive into the cochlear tissues which them suitable to be used in transplantation as a strategy for regenerating inner ear and treatment of SNHL."

We are needlessly suffering this.

It's time to stop posting memes and making fun of Pawel Jasterboff and crying about our ruined lives and get serious about this. Our deliverance is already possible. The technology to harvest marrow stem cells and inject them into our ears already exists. There is no good reason we should have to wait any longer to be cured.

you guys ever get annoyed when you read about people who "don't notice their tinnitus unless someone mentions it"
usually right after they say that they go "thanks now i remember i have it :)"
wtf are you talking about what is this magic bullshit tinnitus just disappearing unless someone mentions it. are you a fucking monk
what kind of world are you living in where you try to guilt me into feeling bad for your non existent tinnitus which is supposedly going to disappear in 5 minutes once we stop talking about it

lel. funnily enough before serious tinnitus thinning hair was the biggest thing i had worries about
first real sign of mortality in men. then you turn all deaf and retarded in the head and wish you enjoyed your healthy days more

anywayz dude they got insane stuff like DHI nowadays. isn't a cure but for 10k you're not going bald for another 15 years
i'd pay way more for 10 years of FX-322
All my hopes are on Tsuji hair cloning, he says the thing it's gonna be consumer-ready in 2020 in Japan.

Hey guys did you miss me? I'm back and can gladly state that my ears are 100% unchanged and still screeching. Screeched right into the New Year. Happy New Year

A few of months ago @Jazzer posted a well written post titled "Tinnitus is not Tinnitus".

Meaning:

"Many people have tinnitus but some have TINNITIS."

I think there is a movement on this site to willfully ignore scientific evidence about the causes and remedies for tinnitus and stupidly argue with people that have knowledge to the contrary.

I had the temerity to suggest
that the difference is severity.

It's hardly rocket science.
I had twenty odd years of 'park strolling'
followed by four years of distress.
Comments are vacuous without experience.

from the bottom of my heart, I just want to say to all the people that haven't educated themselves about our condition and are just sitting around waiting for the government to approve some corporate drug that may help us while repeating false information like that hearing loss doesn't cause tinnitus, "shame on you."

Hear you, and feel the frustration. Perhaps I should take some vitamins to regenerate my hair cells and get wasted on anti depressants to sleep, and crank up some god awful pink or white noise. Fingers crossed, 2019 is gonna be more than interesting, it will be the beginning of new medical advances that are cureative and will bring us some relief. Fingers crossed

Anyone know any contact information for @IAmCalifornia ?

He recently tried to commit suicide and I am afriad he will try or has already tried again.

Does this confirm the central gain mechanism refers to hyperacusis as loudness amplification of noise and not "noise induced pain"?

is this the same neurlogical mechnism associated with audiotory processing disorders and some cases of autism where noises are preceived as abnormally loud but not painful.
