My Posting Place

Sure why not?
Cool.

So indeed it looks like John is in South Korea at the moment. And from the looks of it it doesn't look like he's using a VPN or the sort.

I would be quite confident to say he's not making his trip up.

it can be faked

(edit) Markku's post above seems to verify legitmacy

His IP seems residential in nature.

I'm pretty sure it's legit and he's really there.
It's not residential. It's a 4g monile hotspot because I couldnt rent SIM card because I have Sprint and they slick their phones down like jerks.
Yeah I just imagined the ~72 injections of PRP and bone marrow that I've had over the last two weeks .

But seriously someone had to check this out. Plus tinnitus was ruining my life and all the research I did gave me confidence that it was at least safe.

did you have hyperacusis defined as noise induced pain?

did it get better?

so John is your tinnitus really going away?
I have 2-3 months to see the full effects. After that time I will post audiograms. But Thursday I noticed I could here the sizzle of some pizza cheese more clearly in my right ear and the audiogram I took later that day showed a threshold shift in my right side and my tinnitus in my right ear has decreased to the point where I can sleep on it and cant really hear it, it's there, but much much lower. He focused more on my left ear the last week because it was worse and when you have your middle ear full of prp or bone marrow it's like having earplugs in so that's where I'm at. If my left ear drops to like my right ear I will be very satisfied.

This has been the experience of a lifetime. Seoul is a really interesting place.

I only have two, 8 ears must make tinnitus a lot worse.

Yeah I had hyperacusis. It has been better and worse at times. I dont have it right now but I cant attribute that to the treatment because of the nature of its fluctuations.

the treatment should cure the noise induced pain, if not kill me.

noise induced pain is worse then tinnitus.

How do you define hyperacusis, as a burning pain, a dull ache, loudness amplification?

@JohnAdams please take some pictures/video or something of the facility or treatments going on. If it is in fact legit I would be interested to see what it all looks like.

Edit:

When it concludes please make a brand new thread regarding the entire trip and experience.

I've got some pictures of me in there and I'm not really trying to show my face on this website for now. Let me get stateside and I'll photoshop stimpy over my head and share some pics. Heres some nonsense. The last one is from my flight, over Siberia.

All I did to make my tinnitus go away was get TMD treatments. JA is actually getting his cured with stem cell treatments. That's awesome and actually driving community research.

I would go further and say that that support group (Tinnitus Sufferers) is actually hindering meaningful progress by blocking posts like the one I made. It's as if they will do anything they can to stop money going towards tinnitus research, and by also discouraging anything that empowers people to act and take a stand.

Now imagine a cancer board saying they disapprove of anyone trying to raise money for the cause (research) and that they will ban people if they try! No more walking for cancer or pink ribbons. How dare people try and help find a treatment!

Most tinnitus message boards/forums seem to only want a load of people feeding off each other's misery. And as we know, misery loves company. On top of all this, nobody shares information or projects that are to the benefit of all sufferers; it's completely fragmented out there and any kind of unity or cohesion looks like a pipe dream right now.
Yeah because of decades of independant tinnitus groups, there's multiple different beliefs of how to handle tinnitus depending on where you go. Most decided that there will never be a cure, and are subconsiously probably secretly offended by people trying and succeeding where they failed. The communities don't agree because of terrible modding, but I'm glad that TT has taken the reins and is guiding the whole T community to a cure.

I wouldnt say "cured". At least not yet. I think the best way to describe it as treated, by restoring some of my hearing loss. Like I've been saying, I still have 2-3 months to see the total results. It'll probably be more like 2 because I'm young and healthy.

Still though congrats. If it works and eliminates it. then yeah it was actually cured.

More treatments would be better but I'm about to head back to America so...

I've had 12 days of treatments, only time will tell how effective they are in the long term. Like I said, I will take a hearing test in a couple months and compare before and after audiograms and share them.
