It's always interesting when people use words other then hyperacusis to describe noise induced pain. They mention what the condition is, and how it feels ect.
I'm sure there's lots of outdoors/firearm enthusiast that literally know what noise induced pain is as a condition. They know it's a consequence of not protecting their hearing when firing a high caliber weapon.
The word hyperacusis is so problematic it prevents people from even describing their problem. When you get people who never heard the word hyperacusis you get a better more clear definition and there is also no denying it's linked to cochlear damage.

Read this dilemma. It's self defeating
> User was using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and wanted to update
> User updates to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
> User has wifi and other driver issues on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
> He tries all the official Ubuntu 16.04 flavours which are basically the exact OS with different desktop environments
> Gets depressed when he realizes the obvious. That changing a desktop environment won't solve the problem
> User is upset because he cannot find a solution and does not want to downgrade back to 14.04 to resolve problems.

He downgrades without even realizing it just because of how superficial Linux distros look on the outside. The cinnamon desktop environment/Display Manager doesn't change any core differences to how the OS function under the hood.
Atleast he's happy until he updates to the next version built on 16.04.

Apparently eating an open-face sandwich of limburger cheese and sliced onions daily for a few weeks have given some, some health benefits. Maybe JohnAdams would like to give it a go?

I'll have you know that I have successfully counseled over 300 tinnitus patients, the majority of which are individuals with "noise induced tinnitus."
the fact of the matter is that I am well-equipped to speak poignantly about this issue. I have positively counseled patients over the phone, email, private messages and in my own personal residence in Fahgshire, UK.
You and I have corresponded positively in the past, but your vulgarity--a trait I despise, has put my wits to their inevitable end. As we speak I am contacting my associates, many of whom are individuals with "noise induced tinnitus." Your location will be ascertained and your mouth will be cleansed with soap.
I have nothing further to say about this matter.

1: audiologist that are just doing their job

Clueless audiologist that don't either bother understanding the science, or looking at things from a philosophical perspective they are just practicing bad medical protocol because it pays the bills.
2: the pseudo-intellectuals

TRT practioners that take the time to study Jastreboff's books and read his published papers. They are in the mindset that they have high social status within the tinnitus/hyperacusis community. They view themselves as disciples of Mr. Jastreboff and want to learn more from him.
Both don't care about science. Both live in a bubble where Jastreboff is all authority.

After reading the post I agree that it does sound like me although it isn't @Fifth Business doesn't sound very happy if he's meant to be serious which I doubt.
