I'm currently trying to figure out how to get my cat to sleep next to my ear since her purring is very relaxing and a nice masker.
It's not working.
Annie, my sweetheart, a tiny little Blue Persian, does exactly this.
When I got to bed she jumps up beside me on my pillow, purring, and stays with me until I am asleep.
She then adjourns to the window ledge to sleep on an iPad case, that is how small she is.
Then in the morning, when she sees me stirring, she jumps back up to lay with me again.
(Before you get any big ideas - she's not for sale!)
