My Trip to Bangkok: Stem Cell Treatment [Comments]

It's not always the hair cells. It's more the auditory nerves that are the problem starting out. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4227662/

As far as centralization, when it occurs and how to tell if it has, that's something I have often wondered about. Nobody seems to really know the answer.

You mean the auditory cortex, the auditory nerve is just the connection ("highway" of the signals transmitted by the hair cells).

I understand that the nerve fibres disconnect from the hair cells. In a healthy inner ear, several nerve fibres are connected to one hair cell. Each nerve fibre for a different hearing level. Apparently the first fibres that are disconnecting are the ones for the higher audio levels. That is why this will not show up on a audiogram. But understanding someone in a noisy environment gets more difficult. This is what I understand from hidden hearing loss.

I got this one from stem 21

Soon Mithrandir, nothing booked yet just planning and discussing with my family at the moment.Family are very supportive so I'm blessed to have them.I will do this treatment I just want the best treatment at the best cost.Im looking at treating my H more than anything but if my T lowered it would be a bonus:)
HI
As someone that did booth LLLT and the steam cell treatment. Here is my advise. If H is your main concem now, I advise seriousiley you should do 5 days treament at Dr Wilden or Anne. LLLT can cure T but takes time, H is way faster you will see results in 2 months maybe.. So here goes my advise. do LLLt first and if you have a chance then try the steam cell.

Thanks for the response Fernando,I've just ordered my Lucky Laser so should be here in a few weeks maybe?Anyway how is your T and hearing doing now after both treatments?

Why spend all this money ? Just do the steam cell treatment at home over a tea kettle ;)

Could you give us some measurement of how helpful you found the steam cell therapy to be? Dit it make a small but significant difference? Or did your T improve a lot?

Hi
I´m better than I was 2 years ago. That is for sure, but is hard to mesure just how better. And is hard to say that is all due to the SC treatment. I started with LLLT in June 2014 and made the SC in September 2014. My opinion is that the best is to make the two. Actualy when doing the SC i had LLLT at the same time. How better? Put this way, 2 years ago when driving to work if i open the window of the car I keep listining the T, and this morning I went to work and did not notice it. Is not everyday but i´m starting to have good days more and more. So if it´s due the SC or LLLT, I still think the best option is LLLT ( price is a big factor) . If you have a chance to make the two even better.

Hi,

Congratulations Fernando for improvement, i'm live in Brazil suffered acoustic trauma by sound impact firearm ( shotgun caliber 12) had left ear -40dB and -60dB loss right ear in frequencies 4MHz 6MHz and 8MHz . Here only takes place audiometries until the 8MHz , I'm doing more another examens: otoacoustic emissions testing acoustic and bera. As the financial costs and very high , I just have a cartridge to spent, the currency here and the real ( 1 euro = 4 real ) , so I want to know what my treatment in this particular case would be ideal.

Grateful for the attention

Can you give us a link, I only know story of ATEOS, FERNANDO GIL, L FRANCIS, & CHLOE SOHOL

I just did a search "stem cell therapy gone wrong"
a few links:
  1. http://www.bbc.com/news/health-30194504
  2. http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/...er-experimental-stem-cell-treatment-goes-awry
  3. http://www.ninds.nih.gov/news_and_events/news_articles/glioblastoma_stem_cells.htm
What about this search?: "stem cell therapy success stories"
a few links:
  1. https://www.cirm.ca.gov/patients/stories-hope
  2. http://journaltimes.com/lifestyles/...cle_cfef3c64-d032-11e1-96e1-001a4bcf887a.html
  3. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...stemcell-success-story-bodes-well-for-manning
The only thing good about these mistakes is that normal intelligent people learn from mistakes.

In this last search it is difficult to not end up in a commercial from companies that do stem cell therapies.

This is why I hope that on this forum experiences like we read from ATEOS and Fernando will increase in number.
For obvious reasons I putt more stock in these experiences than stem cell success stories you can read from companies that sell these therapies.

I was thrilled when I saw this and wanted to post it right away. Guess you beat me to it:)

But seriously. This is quite a revolutionary treatment, right!?!
I guess now we can only hope that it works for T.
Who wants to try first?

I contacted the clinc they told me that the intra_tympanic stem celle is 5 times more effective than intravenous stem celle also they are going to open others clincs around the world and the sooner will be Dubai:rockingbanana:

Dubai is closer than Bangkok, so that's a good thing.
I also hope they start bringing their prices down. When they're at ~5K for the intratympanic shit, they'll have another customer.
I'll definitely be getting those desert stem cells.

It appears that stemcells21 changed their treatment protocol in the last years:

ATEOS (2013): only IV delivery into the blood system + peptide injections
Fernando Gil (2014): IV delivery + peptides + stem cell injections below the ear
Website description (2016): IV delivery + peptides + inner ear injection of stem cells

@monacco, that is really interesting.

Did they give you any details on the number of patients they have treated via intra-tympanic delivery? And any information on quantifying / characterizing success?

@Leon909 That was a very encouraging read:)
The patients are young children, so it would be interesting to see if older people would benefit too.
If I understand correctly this was done in 2012.
Makes you wonder if there was something like a follow up.

I think those children were all treated with their own cells though and not someone else's. The post from stemcell21 is recent for hearing loss though and it is exciting to see someone offering these services. The only problem is that the follow up stories for people that tried these therapies are lacking. There are also no audiograms to back up claims. I guess the only question is who's first?

Any one know if this therapy could help people with T without hearing loss?
I don't think anyone really knows what will happen if you go through that procedure, but just like it could help with hearing loss, it also might help with T. I'd say if the procedure is on the up and up, then yes it could help with T, but I'm sure they give no guarantees either way.
