Epiphone Les Paul "Black Beauty" with three humbuckers. (That's what we all need now... humbuckers.) I only play it for a few minutes at a time with no amp.

Ah nice! I have many guitars - here's my favourite. Ibanez, EMG pickups.

edit: I believe EMG are humbuckers? Or am I totally wrong? I just play. I don't know too much about the set up.

They look like humbuckers, so probably. Humbuckers are wider because they have two coils.

I'm surprised you can see anything on that notebook. It's a diagram of how I was going to connect some wires to some speakers, mainly for Zoom meetings.

I actually had plans to learn guitar in my new home. Electric guitars used to appeal to me and I was just starting to develop some proficiency on the piano. I hope you can get that back (along with all of the other musicians).

Guitar is great, but piano was and still is my first love. Thank you for your wishes. I hope for all our sakes we can play music again one day.

I can play, I just can't listen back to a recording and totally enjoy it... I always spent hours and hours layering, editing, and tweaking my recordings.

I've had some better days, though. We'll see how it trends. A sleeping monster is still a monster.

Yes! I did have francesinha at a restaurant a short walk from the Campanha rail station. Really good. We will definitely be back to Porto. My wife and I both really enjoyed the city overall, we spent a couple days there after staying in Lisbon for a few weeks, and would have loved to stay longer. I will definitely take a look at your recommendations for next time.

On a good day I can play with ear defenders and plugs on for 10 or 20 minutes (acoustic guitar/piano, not electric), but I see no point. The sound is completely muffled, I don't get that same feedback from the instrument but I still get delayed neuralgia that puts me out of action for weeks on end. The greatest joy in music for me was writing and producing, and that takes time. Honestly, hyperacusis is the most cruel thing that could happen to a musician, especially when combined with tinnitus.

So now the question, are you studying his work?

Hey Elmer! Sorry, I didn't see that you had tagged me in your post!

I am an architectural historian by qualification and trade, though I now work as a museum and gallery exhibition designer. I am hoping to go back to arch history, next year sometime.

I was working for the National Trust here in England, but once COVID-19 hit, they couldn't keep people on. I'm going back in June to help with some surveying on their properties, but I'm sticking with my new job for the time being.

Yeah, I only noticed the William Kent book in the picture afterwards. I thought that it looked an odd mix - guitars and Kent haha! I am versatile in my interests

You know Kent well then, I assume from your brief description?

At the moment, I am trying to write a comparison piece between the Music Room from Norfolk House, and the Glass Drawing Room from Northumberland House. I was supposed to finish it last year, but I developed my wonderful tinnitus at the time, and I couldn't sit and read for hours.

I was looking at Kent's ceilings, which I am sure you know all about. The Music Room at Norfolk House, had a similar design to Kent's panelled division ceilings.

I have a very similar Ibanez. Same body shape and rosewood fretboard and dual active humbuckers.

I am still MUCH to shy to be posting my face here, but after lurking this thread for a while I wanted to share something. These are some art toys I've painted over the last month. I got a bunch of blank guys for Christmas in 2012 and am finally painting them up in 2021! Their names are Lemon and Aphrodite
