I walked into the clouds yesterday.
It was difficult. It always is. I have a rare genetic condition called 'Paramyotonia congenita'. This means whatever I do, it feels like my body is moving through sand. Every step I take when I start running, or walking uphill, or doing any physical activity, makes all my muscles feel like they are resisting movement, and it burns.

However, I do not let it, and I will never let it stop me. The pain is always rewarded by the view and sense of accomplishment at the summit... It's just a shame the top of a mountain isn't a quiet as I remember it being...

Awesome pics @Steph1710. Are these taken in England? The landscape seems pretty arid to me and it reminds me more of rocky places in Eastern Europe for example.

Thanks for sharing your story, Steph. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that, despite your condition. I have nothing but admiration for what you do.

Amazing post, Steph. And an amazing view as well.

I've never heard of this condition before, but it sounds truly hellish.

I'm happy that you're able to live with it, along with tinnitus and hyperacusis, and live your life to the fullest. (I wish I had spent more time in the outdoors, that's for sure.)

Mountains aside, what else did you do on your trip? I hope you had fun.

You are all welcome.

Be aware of "butaneros", sellers of butane bottles, announcing themselves by loudly striking into the bottles...
Butaneros are no joke!

I still don't understand why this keeps happening. It is utterly unnecessary. This picture has been taken today from my apartment in Sevilla City. Right under my window. 7am. FFS! At least I don't have hyperacusis, otherwise they'd be hearing the death bells.

Paradise in my eyes, hell in my ears.
So sad.

I've got eye floaters in both my eyes. Huge ones. Open, blue skied spaces, make me more aware of them. My tinnitus is severe, very. I can hear it over everything. Imagine being in a very silent place under an enormous blue sky near lots of water. Well, that's where I spend most of my time. A cabin in the forest near a lake. I've learned to enjoy every single bit of it and believe me, if I can, anyone does as well. So, go! Go and enjoy.

Let's season this thread.

This for the ladies ❤️. And anyone who appreciates it. Keep them bikinis and swimsuits coming! Or shadows, they sometimes make the best clothes.

Who dares?

Well... uhmmm... that's a nice looking phone you've got there @El BUZZ  Is that the new Apple? My Nokia is running on empty as of late and I'm thinking of switching to Apple, Motorola, or Fairphone, but can't really make up my mind about which one is more durable, sustainable, nifty with apps, etc.

So inspiring @El BUZZ. I love your posts. I have many health issues, and I won't pretend they don't get me down, but I still let go and enjoy life as best as I can.

Nice body btw. ;)

My job phone there. They provide us with the cheesiest Androids in the market. Worst thing is the camera. Unable to catch stuff as they look in person. Disappointing when in real life.

Thanks for the compliments. It's all about playing with lights and shadows, then beauty can arise. Give it a try and empower yourself!

My record collection, which I haven't been able to enjoy for over a year and a half now.
I've read so many stories of people who went and sold their collection because of no hope of being able to enjoy it again. One of the main reasons why I fucking refuse to accept this as a permanent life-sentence is because of my collection. I've bought at least 300 records since this happened, because damn it I will be able to enjoy music again.

I like your style, Daniel. Most of these record albums look pretty vintage btw. Are there any specific records that you cherish the most?

Mostly vintage stuff, yeah. My proudest would probably have to be the rare and expensive stuff, like super obscure metal from the 80's and 70's. Also a lot of grunge and hip hop stuff from the 90's when vinyl died out and only few records were made. Been collecting a lot of 50 and 60's obscure rock n roll and rockabilly 7-inches lately. I want to get those before they go off the market xD

The ones I cherish the most are those that I've been able to make long-lasting memories with. Those records become more than just records to me. Like the first record I bought, which got me into all of this. Alien Force - Hell And High Water. Super obscure cheesy 80's metal from Denmark. That was a repress and I got the whole band to sign it for me when I saw them live a couple of years back. I recently acquired an original copy, which cost me 200 euros. The 5th most expensive record I've bought so far.

Mr Diesel not only got the "I got tinnitus, never ever gonna shave" attitude, but he also complements the look with a sweater with white spots that perfectly masks the dandruff from scratching his beard to find a cure for tinnitus!
I see nothing wrong with this.
Yo @Diesel, do you actually (like me) get bearduff?

If not: why not?

If yes: what you doing to combat it?
I don't get too much dandruff from the beard. I do however shed a ton this time of year which is almost worse. Especially since I have a spectrum of black - gray - white beard hair that can't be masked by any shirt color.

I see nothing wrong with this.
Agreed. As someone who can no longer wear black T-Shirts due to beardruff, I was facing two options:

-Stop wearing black T-Shirts :(
-Start washing beard with Head&Shoulders (don't like the taste of Head&Shoulders )

Thanks to this, I'm now aware of the third option: black T-Shirt with White Spots (y)
I don't get too much dandruff from the beard.
Seriously though, I hate you guys with your non-dandruff beards... :sour:

Cool collection and it's definitely not cheesy at all. I've listened to Alien Force and they sound (y) There sure is some Danish dynamite in the lyrics of their songs.

If you ever want to trade records with me, feel free to drop by any time you like. I'm also an avid vinyl collector, but my taste is a tad different: mostly 90s alternative-rock, jazz (especially acid jazz), folk, ambient, electro-swing & contemporary pop.
