And by the way, @Christiaan, look how this little rascal appeared last Friday morning. She's fine now but who knows why her cheek was that swollen. Living the good life also has its risks.

Looks like a bee sting. This little lady came from a cat rescue home. Where the lady just tossed cooked chicken to them so that became a free for all. When we brought her home and introduced cat food, she wouldn't eat. It took a week of different food to find one she liked. She was 3 months old when we got her. She is now 15 months old, and we live in the mountains so there's some serious hunting going on. I spent an hour watching her hunt, the patience of sitting knowing there's a mouse under that tall grass. The wait paid off and the mouse became a toy. Meet Groucho.

Bee sting for sure. She and her brother, who by the way is of the same colors (b&w) but exactly a negative copy, are always hunting insects. Groucho, whose moustache is spotless, looks like a distant cousin of them. Cats are the best.

That black and white mix is known as Tuxedo. The hair is like silk and their markings are very different to others.

Hi everyone. I just recently came back to this forum after 8 years of habituation and not paying attention to my tinnitus but this week I developed tinnitus in my left ear which is prominently louder than my other ear and I don't have any idea what is the cause of it. I'm still hoping it will fade in to the background like my other ear.

Hi Nathaniel,

Sorry to hear that. I am in a similar situation. I also lived well with my tinnitus for many years but now it is a struggle again. I think for all of us with servere tinnitus you need to develop a daily routine to have it under control/low. I tried a short cut with meds, alcohol, loads of coffee instead. It did not work out so I learnt my lesson... It will take some time to come clean but I think I am doing good so far.

Walked out of in-laws house, after massive argument at 11:00pm last night, had no dinner, slept on a shop floor (only for three hours) and I STILL got up at 7:00am, completed a 5k run, and then participated in a swimathon with my friends!

That's how you smash a day after a really, really long shitty night.

Wow, a real mixed bag. At least you were able to end the day on a high note!

Well it was either lay on a shop floor or morning and feel sorry for myself... Or get up and get into beast mode. :sneaky:

Don't get me wrong, I still cried when I woke up and after I ran - and had to force myself to eat, because my stomach was in knots, BUT I pushed through and ended on a high.

When I was sat round a table in a Japanese restaurant, with a group of mates, after completing our competition - I was all good.

Following in the footsteps of our ancestors, Chumbawamba: 'I get knocked down, but I get up again'.
