Photo Album of Tinnitus Talk Members

Cannot remember if I ever shared this picture.

Interestingly enough this is the last time I remember not having tinnitus. I have aptly named this photograph 'From Twilight to Tinnitus.'

Well here I am going to metal shows again. Went to see Mayhem.

Wore plugs but they blocked too much sound so had them kinda partially inserted to dial the sound in. Even took them right out for my favourite song. My phone meter was only reading like 82 dB from the back of the venue, so I'm not sure those apps can be trusted  My guess is more like 110 dB at the stage.

I still have baseline tinnitus and very faint hyperacusis symptoms, but they weren't affected by this show at all. I strongly feel like it's always been some kind of persistent head/neck inflammation all along. I don't know. When my new job benefits kick in I'll be seeing a chiropractor/massage therapist. Getting on with life has been good. :rockingbanana:

Get some ACS customs. You won't have any complaints about them blocking too much sound. They offer universal fit earplugs that use the same filters as the customs, so you can try them out before committing to molds.

So, my Google memories came up today to taunt me about how sweet life was before all my health problems kicked in. Turns out this time three years ago, I was still climbing up mountains... *sigh* :( I miss those days so much.

Looks like you had a lovely time. Where were you? :)
Most of those pics were taken where I still am and spend most of my time. A cabin in the forest in south Spain. I sometimes go to the city to buy books, play pool and have my nose crooked in some heated sparring session.

Today was rainy and this was the view from the window of my toilet while having a hot shower.

Amazing picture of the cats! Very nice light!

Takes me straight back to 2018 (pre-tinnitus) when me and my friend traveled to East Coast. We spent 2 out of 5 days in NYC, and it was probably one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I distinctly remember how we took the Subway from JFK, and walked up the stairs into the daylight of the buzzing city. Pretty much all expectations were fulfilled.

Central park was wonderful.
NYC is awesome. I used to go as often as I could, especially at Christmas. Haven't been since just before COVID-19.
