Would treatment with this product limit the effectiveness the future use of Frequency's FX-322 product. Aka does the increase in ATOH expression use up supporting cells?

This was what was shared with me via email regarding the question of whether or not PIPE-505 depletes supporting cells when generating OHC.
"The current hypothesis is that 505 transforms LGR5+ supporting cells. This constitutes a small population of support cells in the adult cochlea so we do not observe widespread depletion of all support cells."

Nice, nice. So, by the end of 2020 we should have results from both FX-322 and PIPE-505 trials.

I think Audion Regain are also on track to release their Phase 2 results in April 2020 as far as I can recall!
Yes, that's correct. At least, that's what should happen; initially they announced the results will be published on 31/01/2020, but changed that recently, maybe something interesting happened and they need more time to analyze the data.
We have an alleged anecdote from someone in this trial stating it did in fact help their tinnitus and hyperacusis. Fingers crossed.
Sorry, sometimes keeping track of everything here is hard. Which trial are you referring to? Audion/Regain?
How do they even enroll participants in this study? "Come to the clinic, we'll see if you can't hear shit when other shit's going on." What's the test for hidden hearing loss?

They don't recruit at their headquarters. Trials are done at impartial trial centers. To give you an idea, Hough (located in OKC, OK) is a full otology clinic and their study was done in Raleigh, NC apparently. And phase 1 of Frequency was done in San Antonio, TX.
I'm really hoping that I can get in this trial...any word yet @mrbrightside614 on trial locations? I am positive that I have synaptopathy, and treatments like these are the only thing I look forward to these days.

Phase 1 is often at 1 location (2 at the most usually). Phase 2 is where nationwide testing occurs.
FX-322 phase 1 was in San Antonio, TX and Hough phase 1 was in Durham, NC, etc. Be prepared to travel in most cases.

@Ben S, Otonomy has a synaptopathy drug in phase 2 that is still recruiting in Florida and NY. I think you mentioned being in New England, right?

Nada. Regardless, it'd be the longest shot ever to get admitted to a trial whose primary indications aren't explicitly for tinnitus. Sorry bro. If we don't have people getting into FX-322 I really doubt we're going to have anyone getting into cochlear synaptopathy trials.

I would hope though that Pipeline wouldn't exclude tinnitus patients since it is literally in their patent but I'm pretty sure you would need some record of having (testable) Speech in Noise difficulties, though and there are definitely people on this forum who do even if many don't.
Yes, I am in New England, but I have to put this on hold for now because I don't want to risk losing this newly acquired job. Also, not being able to get the real thing after potentially getting a placebo is a SERIOUS downer. 6 days of paid time off, and about 20 hours of total drive time (for all the visits) for nothing.... that would be awful. Although knowing that my potential cure is out there but I don't have it is borderline torture. So a part of me still wants to go for it though because I am in such a dark place.
