Copy paste from Hyperacusis Research:

"The questionnaire is entitled: "Characterization and evaluation of tinnitus and hyperacusis, as well as various potentially associated symptoms."

It will take between 20 and 30 minutes and must be completed in one session. It is not possible to close the survey and finish it later, so plan accordingly!

The online questionnaire is here:
https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4675746/Hyperacusis-project

Share with friends and acquaintances who have hyperacusis, so as to cast a wide net."

Side note: The survey is organized by Arnaud Norena who some of you maybe recognize from other threads here at Tinnitus Talk regarding the excellent paper about an acoustic shock case study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6156190/

Dear hyperacusis sufferers,

One of our research contacts, Arnaud J Noreña from Aix-Marseille University, Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience, has asked us to help gather data for a hyperacusis project.

The project aims to better define and characterize hyperacusis and other symptoms that may be associated with it.

You can fill in the survey here.

Thanks for taking part!

Oh that's weird, I had just started another thread on this same topic, at the request of the researcher in question! (See my post #6 above)

Markku now merged the two threads to keep everything in one place :)

I think the idea of gathering information by interviewing those affected is good and right.

Unfortunately, too little progress is being made along this path.

Hyperacusis is just one word. But maybe there are two (or more) completely different diseases behind it.

Waouw! I found this thread only because I did a search today in this forum with the word "survey" (initially, I was looking for something else). More over, the researchers are close to me. Shame on me.
Survey done.
