I watched Drive tonight with Gosling. Some quite touching moments between him, her and the boy. What I did not get is how this stunt driver and car mechanic had the physical ability and ruthlessness to deal with these goons who are used to violence - how he got the better of them? Maybe some ex secret service agent or military navy seal captain. Did I miss something? I think Ryan O'Neil in The Driver was a better film.

I'll have to check out The Driver. I haven't seen that one. I loved Drive with Gosling and its cinematography. And that soundtrack! It has an amazing soundtrack! Some of my still favorite songs to date came from that movie. These 4 are absolute gold.

*SPOILERS ahead if anyone here hasn't seen Drive. I loved Gosling in it. So, I have good theories on how he was able to take on those goons. He was a tough guy underneath that shy appearance, obviously. But he was in love and that unleashed the fury in him. Notice how he changed once the girl's well-being was under threat. He took the hammer and bashed that guy after Standard was shot. And that love in his veins drove him to be a powerful killer, almost like adrenaline. He even ridiculed Bryan Cranston's character, vehemently, for telling the goons about her. Remember how he said to the girl, at the end, that she was the best thing that had ever happened to him? He was truly in love for the first time in his life and it drove him to all that madness. He had never felt those emotions before. He was afraid of losing her and went off the deep end to protect her. The irony at the end is, well, that he lost her anyway. He had to leave. We also don't know much about his story prior to these events — his upbringing, etc. The book might touch on that stuff. I dunno. But he also wasn't even given a name throughout the movie. He was just known as the Driver; or the kid, etc.

There's a sequel book called Driven. It's based off the original book, Drive, not necessarily a sequel to the movie itself.

They are so funny and unpretentious that you could easily forget that they're celebrities. They seem like genuinely nice people.

Jimmy Fallon. Oddly, I never had a crush on a celebrity as a kid, going into high-school even. Last year, in the middle of my 36th birthday, for some odd reason, looked into and stumble across an interview video of Jimmy.

It was that one video that did it for me and just made me think "Awwww...". Lol. So, I can officially come out and say I finally have a celebrity crush. Better late than never I suppose. Lol.
