Tinnitus Since
07/26/1992...habituated after 2 years; 11/04/11 new outbreak
no matter how much i read and investigate i have yet to understand how playing noises that match the frequencies of our tinnitus manages to stop the tinnitus for a short time...how curious

and yet the path towards habituation seems almost to be the opposite, one where we dont mask the tinnitus and in fact listen to sounds or "notched" music that fills the spectrum of hearing that we still have while staying away from the frequencies where there is damaged hearing...very strange

i wonder what would happen if we could fill the ear with a broad spectrum of all frequencies the normal human ear can hear, ...at a low volume, so we are sure not to do damage

would we get habituation and residual inhibition?
