The Positivity Thread

@Holly1987

I do! But I'm gearing up for 100+ temps soon as I live in Phoenix, AZ.

I'm only about 3 weeks in but had the best day today that I've had in a while. Managed to sleep in (I have a 5 year old so this is especially amazing lol), we played all day and had a visit with my parents. Managed to forget about it for a little bit too. And I downloaded a new sleep hypnosis app to try tonight. Feeling thankful.
@Stephanie72

Your son is adorable, his smile is downright contagious.:)

I took a clonazepam at noon and woke up to silence at 2.
The clonazepam is for my anxiety which is why i took it today but it is really a miracle drug for me in that i can get relief from my T all afternoon and night.
Ìt may be inspiring false hope in me but I'll take the silence anyday and anyway i can.
I try not to take it as a sleeping pill but more for the anxiety that i suffer badly from.
I do however stop usage for a day every 2 weeks just to break the cycle.
Anyway just wanted to share that i am feeling positive today and after reading Fishbones thread i feel inspired again.

@David Dubros

Good morning, David.

I am so happy to hear that your dear dad is going to be okay for now, you must be very relieved. At his age surgery could be very trying for him.

Waking up to silence, even for a short time is wonderful. Let's hope you get this relief more often, hope is what we need, no matter how short lived it may be.

The weather is glorious! Tomorrow is going to be 27 degrees with a humidity factor of 30. What happened to spring, lol?

Wishing you well, David.

@emmalee
Thank you Emma from my heart.
T is back today but i will try again with the clonazepam this afternoon if it becomes intrusive.

Yes very good news about my father.
I and my siblings are very relieved as he was in critical condition.

Also nice weather yes but we have thunderstorms about to move in but i so love the rain.

Wishing you the very best today.:)

You are welcome, David.

Bring on the rain! The sound of the rain on my roof, is the best medicine for me.

@TracyJS
Thanks Tracy.
As i write this i am masking my T as it seems to be loud today.
I find relief in masking with white noise. I usually use the clonazepam as a last resort but i haven't ruled it out yet today.
Just moment to moment right now.
Went for a short walk but the pain of my leg injury stopped me.
This too shall pass.

@David Dubros

I'm sorry your T is loud today. I'm glad white noise masking helps.
I have trouble masking at times because it seems to irritate my ears.
When I do mask, I usually use Crickets, or water sounds since my T is high pitched hissing usually.
I think I have some hyperacusis.

I am currently trying slowly to taper off the Clonazepam, even though I have not used it that long.
It sounds like it really helps you.
It helps my anxiety, but it doesn't always quiet the T. It sounds like it does for you.

Yes, moment to moment right now.

@David Dubros

David, are you getting this howling wind in Toronto? I am afraid to sit in my back yard, the trees are bending as if they are made of rubber. My yard is full of small broken branches. Still, it is so, so warm and sunny.

Something is moving in!

@David Dubros

I think we are going to have the same, David. When I was walking, after dinner, I took this photo of the west sky. It is just starting to cloud over. Got quite the workout walking against the wind.

@emmalee
Thats a stormy sky for sure but a beautiful photo just the same.
Batton down the hatches.:)
@David Dubros

For sure I will. As much as I like stormy, rainy nights, they can also leave me a little tense. I do have plenty of candles if I lose power, it still can be intimidating, though.

Have a good night, David.

@emmalee
Hi there Emma.
Just wondering how you are and getting along with the stormy weather.
Also hoping your spirits are up and the T is down.
It happened again today for me
Took a clonazepam at 130 slept till 3 and woke to silence.
I woke up thinking about you alone in your place with that storm.:)

@David Dubros

What a lovely post, thank-you for thinking of me David. The storm pretty much fizzled out, but the rain came. I was more than okay.

David, that is wonderful news! A nice nap and some silence to follow is so encouraging.:huganimation:

I wrote about my day in my thread, David. It is not my best day, but it's not my worst either.

Well after 3 solid weeks of my back and leg injury and pain it is on the mend and my back pain is gone and my leg pain is bearable tonite.
Its been a miserable time with this but at least its gettiñg better.
I can walk up right again .

Wonderful news, David, I am very happy for you. Progress, no matter how little, is still progress. Walking up-right again must feel much, much better.

Continued success my friend.

I read about your back injury and thought "Oh No!"
You will overcome it i know you will.

Funny story. My brother visited my dad and asked him why i was as strong willed as my dad.
My dad at 90 yrs replied y is a crooked letter.
I just about fell over.

Wishing you only the best Emma:)

Your dad sounds wonderful and funny, David. I hope he continues to do well.

My back is better today, so that's a positive way to begin the morning.

@demi: I've been on this sight for 10 days, and I was negative & trolling people, like it appears so many do, especially on the chat line. Yesterday, I was on a suicide forum, and the heartache and dispair people felt was palpable. I don't want to add to their misery, so I will cease and desist with that kind of counter productive talk. Only positivity from now on. Negative emotions are a trigger for tinnitus. It took me 9 days to come to my conclusions, 9 days is too long in my opinion. I left a cool story on the chat line today. Check it out. Thanks again.
