Yet Another Year Is Gone (Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays...!)

Hi, Nookie,
Thanks for the holiday good wishes!

Happy holidays to all, and let's hope for some progress toward a cure in 2013!

Hard to believe how fast yet yet another year has gone by.

It's the holidays season again, so I'm taking this early chance to wish everyone happy holidays. We've seen many new faces during the year, and for me it's been an honor to be a part of this community. Hopefully it's made a small difference in some people's lives by trying to provide valuable information and compassionate support.

Markku, where would we be without you? What you have accomplished is amazing; you have brought people from all over the word together to comfort, educate and support each other. I was telling my audiologist today about this board, that it is an intelligent and respectful online community so different from many others.

You and everyone else here got me through my early dark days.

It's that time of the year again... :joyful:

I totally agree, @Markku , you're the man! :) Thanks for all the hard work and your dedication towards this community! It really means a lot :) And thanks to everyone else that provides information and support! :huganimation:

Well here we are nearly and other year done - I've been a little busy woth work and teenager daughters etc somehow my T has become less troublesome - I've had a blip though this year 2014 I excepted T moved on with it but half way through the year I struggled with sleep again from no where suddenly sleep was my battle I pushed through feeling shocking at times back on zopiclone to get me some sleep then one weekend I slept ok - omg - I can do this sleep thing on my own !

Been a tough 3-4 months but I'm back on track ok a little help with mirtazipine but I'm doing ok again

I've checked in a few times to catch up with old friends sorry I've not been around so much on TT

Sending all my T family huge Christmas best wishes and love here's to 2015 and happy times xxx Cher xx

@Cher69,

It's so good to hear from you!!! I'm sorry you had a bad time of it for awhile, and glad things seem to be back on track again.

Hugs to you and your family, and best wishes for a very merry Christmas!

Hi hi hi, @Cher69! I have missed you and thought of you often. So I have finished with my Neuromonics; I definitely am much improved over a year, although sleep is a big issue, just like you. I had insomnia before T, so I am spending next year working on my sleep problems, which seem to be neurological vs. sleep apnea type (or even caused by tinnitus, although T has made it worse). But for now: I am done with tinnitus treatments. Just gonna live with it for a bit and see how it feels.

Happy holidays and hugs to you, your hubby, your daughters... oh, and Dylan, of course!
xxoo, Diane

I had a little problem putting up the outdoor lights this year.....;)

Me too! My arm is still in a sling from spraining my elbow.

My dog, Toby. is so excited about Santa coming that he can barely sit still!...:p

Happy Holidays, everyone! :cat:

I will try to get a picture one of my puppies in their Santa suits! :D

Hope is a very elusive gift to find in what appears to be a hopeless situation. Markkus, you and your creation have given so many that hope. You are saving lives (I know first hand ). Thank you ever so much. Mohammed is moving the Mountain! Happy Holidays to All!

Hello my TT Friends and Family!! Despite my recent absence from TT, I still care for and support you all!! I know for some (maybe many) this may sound tough or impossible, but I challenge you (& myself) to enjoy the holidays to the best of your ability DESPITE your T!! (y):) Tinnitus tends to rob us of joy and happiness.:( Buy, even if just for just a few days, especially if among friends and family, lets all do our best to ENJOY life during this season. It's hard and takes effort, but it IS possible!

Happy Holidays and Thank You Markku, Steve and all of you who have made this forum such a precious resource!!!! Blessings to you and to all here on TT who are battling T. You WILL be victorious!! :)

Jeff

Same for me. My head is buzzing like always. But I wanted my family having a great day. Suffering can wait for one day. So played new games on the Xbox with my sons.

Thanks my friend. Your posts helped me a lot in the beginning, and still help.
Your T started exactly one year before me. How do you feel now?
Can you put your T into the background? Life normal again?

BTW, when my wife read that you live in "La Jolla", she said: Hey, we were there already. One of our two visits in the States. :)

Hey Martin (which is actually my last name!!),

My T is still with me for sure, but it doesn't rule my life! It is a nuisance, but no debilitating. Once in awhile I have a bad day and let it get to me, but I recover quickly and move on. I am determined to not let it own me! And I am winning, and I am confident YOU WILL TOO!! When I was at my lowest, I NEVER thought I would be where I am now. So cling to HOPE my friend!!(y);):) It will happen. Don't give in!! Just conquer one day at a time brother!

Yup, beautiful La Jolla is my home. I love it! I hope you enjoyed your visit, and hope you will visit again!! If you do, let me know, I'll buy the first round!!!:beeranimation:

Peace to you and your family!!

A "Merry Christmas" to you and the family from Snoopy, Woodstock and me...;)

Merry Christmas to you and yours too from myself and my fur kids!! :puppykisses::puppykisses:
(Well, the pups anyway. Kitties don't like to get dressed up.:cat:)
