Got covid again. I had it less than 2 months ago. Unbelievable. Anyway, it did not spike my T back in August, so... There's a small hope!

It's so hard to find a restaurant that doesn't play music at 90 db...I had to eat at Panda Express once again because it's 50-65 db inside

@MindOverMatter I have reactive . At what point did you wear the ear sound generators? Did it not impact your Rt? Thanks.

Introducing natural sounds is a good way of getting auditory input @Yellowblue44 I never wore plugs in shower. React. t winding up due to showering is not dangerous imo. What is "dangerous" is your reaction to it. Yes, I drove with reactive t/sound sensitivity. Not easy, by no means, but doable. Find the balance + resting up in between/when needed. I only used musician earplugs on longer travels.

@MindOverMatter at the start i was having a showrer without the plugs but had a set back 4 weeks ago and seen no improvment. Somehow will do baby steps to it again. Thank you.

If I remember correctly, it took me closer to probably 8-12 months before I saw any major improvements @Yellowblue44 With many days feeling back to square one or even worse. Often its the mind playing tricks with us due to anxiety and being stuck in fight or flight mode. Setbacks will happen, time after time. But you have to look on this in the long run, not week by week. Take it in your own pace.

hi, have you tried any medication since you got T? if so, which medications and how did it go? also, do you have experience with gabapentin?

Hi there! I do have prior experience with Gabapentin, but it was used for bladder pain before I developed tinnitus.

After gaining tinnitus I decided to throw all meds out besides my thyroid med.

I do also, however, use Amitriptyline 25mg for sleep now though.

Can people just answer me: can tinnitus reduce in volume and intensity after 1 year? or after 6 months will it stay this way until death?

Has anyone has a sound make your ear muscle tense up and then get aural fullness after? Sound wasn't that loud really. But I felt reaction

I'm still working and not prepared to quit until I'm bedbound, how about you? So sorry to hear of your other issues Julianne, as you once said when it rains, it pours. What have you tried for calming your nervous system down?

Sorry for late reply, I did not see this message. I tried with yoga for a while which helped a little bit but had to stop going to the yoga place as they put too loud music on during the class. Now I try and do it from home.

Do you have any routines for calming down your nervous system?

Hey, I'm sorry I'm working back through all my missed replies, the only one I've tried is mindfulness meditation but I'm rubbish at sticking to it. I've been told to try yoga as well.

Gabapentin does not help T spike but it does make music sound much better. Ugh. Too bad I can't enjoy it at all :(

I have intermittent morse code which doesn't bother me at all… I wish it would replace my more chronic tones.
