  • The difference between today and yesterday is frightening

Ah. I know you've had T for 2+ years. Interesting it (still) fluctuates. Did you get it from gradual smaller acoustic traumas, or from one big one?
    PDodge
Hard to say. Played music, attended many many shows/parties never had any problems until one party. 10 days later my head exploded. It did not fluctuate at first but now it does a lot
    Manny
If it didn't fluctuate at first and now it does, maybe that is a good sign.
Looks like I've got a choice, 5 hrs of sleep and low T, or lots of sleep and static head
    OnceUponaTime
5hr sleep and low tinnitus anytime.
    OnceUponaTime
Anyways, what gives you 5hr sleep and low t.?
    PDodge
No idea, slept 5.5 hrs last night and my T is super manageable again
Ive had a deep ache in my ears..for like a while now. If feels completely unrelated to T. Any suggestions?
    H
What do you think this? I have something similar that I no longer think is connected to my tinnitus. I thought it was TMJ/TMD but I've been treating that for close to year. Still have the dull pain.

Muscles and nerves? All the jaw and middle ear ones.
Anyone else's T pulsatile? but tonal?
    Gman
Sometimes there's a very low (sub 100hz) one that does. It's trigeminal and tensor tympani related. What freq is urs,
T was doing alright. Pressed on my Jaw, massive spike... maybe there is more to this
    Gman
    Trigeminal nerve maybe.
10 days on two off? Night shifts? seems fair. Time to watch people be mean to each other tonight :)
    overslept? Ears buzzzing like mad
    Gman
Mine too... just try to distract yourself.

Shower reset worked so good today! I'm just tired hah
    Gman
    Yeah nice one!
I have ear pain and I don't know why
    Gman
Ditto. Mainly on the bad days, such as today. Almost had 3 days of resets but today it came undone after a few hours which as you know sucks even more when it creeps back in. Don't know when it's going to max out.
I cant even put my T into words... It's just f'd up I cant do this anymore
    PDodge
Thanks. I am praying this will kill the screeching, or at least tame it
    PDodge
Do you have any ears pain?
    Manny
I have occasional or intermittent pain but I have constant fullness, tenderness, weird pressure. Yuck.
my sound has never been constant, sounds like someone tuning a radio.
    Gman
Did they say if any c joints were out? I was thinking maybe there's stuff out of alignment which maybe causing nerve and muscle compression and thus some of the symptoms.
    PDodge
My atlas is twisted and my necks a bit straight. He told me the atlas joint and TMJ have the most nerves running through them and can cause a but load of symptom. I never told him I had T until 5th session
    Gman
Well hopefully the visits might help. I heard they only do small adjustments so maybe it just takes time.
    UGH! FFS! JUST STOP!
    PDodge
I hope so. I'm losing my patience. My shower only held me over for an hour today
    Gman
I only got a partial reset today too. Maybe you didn't get enough quality sleep or woke up during the wrong sleep stage. Just try to be unemotional as possible and think of the better days.
    PDodge
Thanks man. I try to be a stoic as I can about this. Yesterday music sound 100% awesome and today is covered in static ringing :S
How can a sound take so much away? God..

Because like a headache, anything happening in your head affects your entire body systemically both physically and emotionally as with your heart. In contrast to something like a leg injury which generally has only a local affect. Remembering that I'm not alone in this helps❤️

Normalcy is something we take for granted when we no longer feel normal. Normalcy is a prized and cherished feeling. Normalcy, or having a clean bill of health, allows us the energy to do so much. Losing that...it makes other problems seem so small.
Does anyone else have to uplug their ears in the morning?
    Gman
As in fake yawn fullness away?
    Gman
My ears often feel like inflated balloons when I wake up, if that's what you mean.
Standing in a mall, T heard over everything. Que Panic attack YAY
    New Guy
That's interesting. I thought it switched to static after a while but you're saying it still alternates between whistle and static?
    PDodge
That's right, some day's its sharp and high pitch and seems loud others it's static!
    New Guy
At 9 1/2 months I'm sharp most of the time but getting longer periods of softness. Usually mornings are softer than evening. Your story is very encouraging to me thank you for sharing!
Gotta be up all night for a shift... after a full day of anxiety. should be fun!
    Gman
That must totally suck with sleep impacted T. Does it get worse in the early AM hours? Just think of the good days to get you through.
    PDodge
It doesn't tend to get worse over the shift. If it's up it's up and that's all there is too it really. If it's low nothing will fuck it up usually. I actually like the night shifts because I am tired AF when i get home
    New Guy
If only you could use the anxiety to your advantage to stay up. It never seems to work out that way. I hope things went well for you.
