    Choice of Stem Cells

Mate, don’t bother with this stuff. I did stem MSC cells in China 4 years ago. I’m fairly sure my story is somewhere. Over 4 IVs over the space of 2 weeks. Anyway, apart from having my bank drained and a little holiday - it was a waste of time. I eventually became friends with some of the...

Drug Memantine Reduces Chronic Tinnitus Caused by Acoustic Trauma

I would give it a try - it didn’t help my tinnitus much from memory, but it did give me some great benefits in the gym and with sex ha. I had no troubles getting off it when I wanted to stop. Like all these drugs, they can make you feel like you’re in a bit of a daze and tired initially. I...

Astaxanthin — Can It Help Tinnitus?

    Pregabalin (Lyrica)

I might offer some clinical advice as a pharmacist. Xanax is not “milder” per say and has similar therapeutic index or potency to Klonopin. Realistically why they are both benzodiazepines, they have different indications for conditions due to their different onset of actions and effective half...

The clinical trials... like all medicines and devices. They can give you an ideal of the correctly indicated patient and the probability of a clinically significant improvement.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Which is why I’m surprised so many people are already handing over cash lol. Apart from a hypothesis and a few anecdotal reports it may be as clinically beneficial as ear candling!

Your Attitude to Prednisolone with Spikes?

No. The use of systemic corticosteroids is ill advised unless absolutely necessary.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

You have a history of exposing yourself to loud events according to your post and getting tinnitus again. May I ask why you continually expose yourself to this?

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Bingo! The concern sometimes is with these clinical studies... Is 7 points or more improvement in THI actually a difference patients would notice...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

I didn’t read the paper, I was just replying to what you said and clarifying the difference between clinical significance and statistical significance. Ideally it would be both! But the authors should not mistake the difference regardless.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

It’s related to a predetermined percentage of improvement of which a patient would require to notice or see an important in their symptoms. However it's not always exactly clear what the level of improvement required is deemed to be clinically significant especially with something such as...

You don’t need the internet to tell you the answer. Your post has it.
