    Choice of Stem Cells

Because it did not have a meaningful clinical difference for me. It was great experience for me however. Are you new to Tinnitus Talk? It’s not always so positive - people are struggling, people are depressed, I don’t have to tell you how hard tinnitus is. P.S. Apply some nuances to your...

    Choice of Stem Cells

Mate, don’t bother with this stuff. I did stem MSC cells in China 4 years ago. I’m fairly sure my story is somewhere. Over 4 IVs over the space of 2 weeks. Anyway, apart from having my bank drained and a little holiday - it was a waste of time. I eventually became friends with some of the...

Drug Memantine Reduces Chronic Tinnitus Caused by Acoustic Trauma

I would give it a try - it didn’t help my tinnitus much from memory, but it did give me some great benefits in the gym and with sex ha. I had no troubles getting off it when I wanted to stop. Like all these drugs, they can make you feel like you’re in a bit of a daze and tired initially. I...

    Pregabalin (Lyrica)

I might offer some clinical advice as a pharmacist. Xanax is not “milder” per say and has similar therapeutic index or potency to Klonopin. Realistically why they are both benzodiazepines, they have different indications for conditions due to their different onset of actions and effective half...

The clinical trials... like all medicines and devices. They can give you an ideal of the correctly indicated patient and the probability of a clinically significant improvement.

Which is why I’m surprised so many people are already handing over cash lol. Apart from a hypothesis and a few anecdotal reports it may be as clinically beneficial as ear candling!

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

I didn’t read the paper, I was just replying to what you said and clarifying the difference between clinical significance and statistical significance. Ideally it would be both! But the authors should not mistake the difference regardless.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

It’s related to a predetermined percentage of improvement of which a patient would require to notice or see an important in their symptoms. However it's not always exactly clear what the level of improvement required is deemed to be clinically significant especially with something such as...

They all have mild and tolerable side effects in the lit. Longer half life ones are less addictive is all. Eg. Klonopin Take what your doc gives you. Don’t ask people on the internet. They are used by millions of people around the world safety. Don’t demonise an amazing class of drug, just...

Drug Memantine Reduces Chronic Tinnitus Caused by Acoustic Trauma

I'm fairly sure I commented on one of the other Memantine threads... I took this for about a month. It's probably one of the strongest drugs I tried (I tried a lot! Maybe Pramipexole was harder..) as far as other side effects, and certainly makes you feel like you're on another planet aha. As...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Actually tinnitus volume and distress are not always inextricably linked. Distress/handicap reduction is generally accepted as the best indicator for treatment efficacy. However, of course members (myself included) of this forum want to see a reduction in our tinnitus volume which would give...

I suggest that you do some research. Tinnitus or not, people should be wearing ear plugs at concerts. Even if yours is not a result of hearing damage, it very much could end up that way. Just because yours started from benzodiazepines doesn’t mean you don’t have hearing loss, Tinnitus is a...

A lot of ADs have that the first few days but that improves. In my experience that nausea is quite common but improves with time. Nortriptyline, and Mirtazapine is considered pretty safe. Zoloft is very popular too. I’ve tried Valdoxan as well with limited benefits but it’s safe and has...

Great you wore earplugs. If you want to enjoy your music get some professional musician plugs or custom so it reduces the volume but doesn’t reduce how beautiful music can be. That way you don’t need to remove them. Take regular breaks and don’t sit near the front. Enjoy!

They can induce MSC to a pluripotent form. Making the MSC becoming the type of cell you need it too is another level. Playing God isn’t easy!

Do Adipose Stem Cells Work and Are They Safe?

For it to be considered clinically relevant it would be a costly outlay and require many participants. There is a paper regarding a single case of embryonic stem cells causing cancer, again that’s not clinically relevant but still a scary possibility nonetheless. You’re asking questions nobody...

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) — Is It Ototoxic? Can Tinnitus Sufferers Safely Take It?

Most certainly not. Always check your sources of who is telling you its ototoxic. I have taken it for years since my Tinnitus; it maybe even makes it more quiet! Panadol is very gentle.

Do Adipose Stem Cells Work and Are They Safe?

You're confusing stem cell potency and the DNA they are deprived from. Stem cell potency is their capability to become different types of cells. Pluripotent (usually embryonic) can pretty much become any type of cell in your body so thats potentially why in regards to the paper you're...

Do Adipose Stem Cells Work and Are They Safe?

That was be a big undertaking for such a clinical trial to exist and also be clinically reliable and credible, so not that I know of. Cancer is quite common so a causal link would require thousands of applicants. So no, and if it did it would mostly be antidotal and a scientific hypothesis.
  52. Pleasure_Paulie

Do Adipose Stem Cells Work and Are They Safe?

You are confusing yourself. MSC can be deprived from many types of DNA including cord blood and adipose which are all multipotent by default in that their potential to become certain types of cells is limited. Pluripotent is a type of MSC that can become all type of cells within the body and...

    Adipose-Derived SVF Stem Cells

I believe so yes. I was a musician for years and it started the day after being in a club. Not in my experience, no. I thought so initially but that’s likely a result of the corticosteroid injection to avoid rejection (not required if they are Adipose) of the MSC when the IV is inserted. Time...

    Adipose-Derived SVF Stem Cells

Yup. China. Mostly sales fluff from the consultant, but it’s believed they can reduce inflammation so seem to help with issues such as arthritis. I used to get RSI in my wrist and it’s gone since MSC. The stem cells you would be injected with are not pluripotent (embryonic etc) so can’t...
