“Tinnitus Truths”

Trouble with rhyming......

"There was a young girl from Tralee,
Who was stung on the leg by a wasp,
When asked if it hurt
She said not very much,
It can do it again if it likes."

(must try harder)

Come on Jazzer, you know that ain't right.

I am a scoundrel and a dog through and through.

I'll take the blame, my people certainly have over the last 2000 years...

Such is life.
I getting ready to make an epic piece devoted to jazz... it will ultimately be in bronze. Will fill you in another time.

Take good care, keep inspiring, and know we all cherish you.

You shine bright.

I was joking of course Dan.
The ladies on here understand me,
well most of them do.

A jazz piece - 'Wow' - I can't wait !!

Best wishes buddy xx

"There was a young man from Straban,
Who couldn't get limericks to scan,
When asked why this was
He said it's because
'I always try to get as many words
in the last line as I possibly can...'"

Tinnitus truths...

"Tinnitus", audiological trauma, is really hard on one's soul.

Just a statement, not soliciting a response.

Please return to business as usual with beautiful and inspiring images and words.
Xx

Always nice words from you Dan,
a true friend.
Others prefer to ignore me.
I always stand up for the severe sufferers like ourselves, and attempt to protect us from those with a mild version who continually offer us irrelevant 'advice.'
However, in life, you can't win them all etc....
Go well buddy,

@Jazzer - Spot on. Always try to build bridges. We all need to try to understand that those with severe issues are in troubled waters.

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part
Oh when darkness comes
And pain is all, is all around

My wife and I were talking about how I have changed post acoustical problems and tinnitus.
She told me all these wonderful and beautiful things I would do, like giving her regular massages was one of them. I couldn't remember... that's a brain injury folks.

I told her to remind me, tell me everyday if she can.
First I was surprised, then scared, then relaxed and accepting.

Deep breaths, one step at a time. Come on brain... rise and shine.

Greg - my dear friend - thank you for adding such a pertinent post.
Interestingly enough of course, it will only work when both parties are prepared to add few bricks on their own side.

Dear Daniel
I understand completely.
Previously it would just occur to you to give your lovely wife a massage, and you would do so quite naturally as an act of love for her.
The total focus of your concentration was 'showing your love for her.'
She would be receiving while you would be giving, and both would feel equally blessed by it.

Now, with something going on that you neither asked for nor deserved, you have something you are struggling to cope with.

Our concentration is divided.

If we can accept that the sound will just be there, perhaps it will not prevent us doing the things we used to do.

A tall order buddy, but do-able I think.

Yes, "do- able", I agree.

A life's project. No worries, just try your best.

Love
Daniel

How about tinnitus mis-truths? This was written about me today when trying to give my opinion to someone. Of course the tinnitus god on that side of the world whose information is NOT absolute and gives a disservice to new members in distress and fear. Further taking them into non-factual dismay.

And I am pissed. I have been in this industry since 2002 working with a top scientist in the field.

"The user that you have quoted (me) I have on ignore for a variety of reasons. Please note, from what I remember this person does not have "Noise induced tinnitus". The tinnitus was caused by another problem. Therefore, my advice to you is not to follow the advice of someone that knows nothing about Noise induced tinnitus."
