2020 US Presidential Election

The USA is collapsing (slowly or more accurately, planned and gradually) and they picked a stooge with dementia they can control quite easily.

They had to ensure he got in by fraud.

But, people unconditionally believe what the MSM tell them, like gospel.
So what do you think about the crazy property prices in the US? Will the bubble continue?

Powell, when asked, already said he has no idea about the prospects for property prices... being the FED chairman this is quite worrying. Does he know anything about interest rates? Should he just copy the Russians?

No, Biden and Harris are working on getting the U.S. on track like Spain, where there has been double digit unemployment for years. In 2012, it was 25%. In 2021, unemployment in Spain is about 16% the second highest in the EU. This is the model for those who stopped Trump, whose administration had record low unemployment, and the highest African American rate of employment in history.
In San Francisco there must be full employment and still people cannot afford to live there.

What do you think about cash for keys in San Francisco? I just read about a few furious renters in Presidio Heights that are looking at 2 million dollars compensation per family for being bothered with construction noise by their landlord for 4 years, as pressure to try to illegally evict them...

It would have been better to offer them only one million dollars to vacate 4 years ago... don't you think?

There's a bubble for a reason. A crash will eventually happen but don't ask me when.

It's inevitable though. Then the Elites will buy them up.

California is going down the drain, thanks to leftists.

Even on YouTube, you can find a number of videos of people discussing their (intended) move out of California for some other state. It's often Texas and sometimes Colorado or Arizona. Then those leftists can finish off those other states.

How's that so, if pretty much any property in San Francisco costs over 1 million dollars? And that's probably a cheap price there... it's quite unique.

If California is "going down the drain", why would anyone pay those prices for a property?

Real estate is overinflated and overpriced everywhere. Still, it's a good investment as long as there's not a crash while you have property like that.

Even so, it's nice to have. It will retain *SOME* value.

Go look up what has been happening there. MAJOR HOMELESSNESS problem, drug addicts, garbage in the streets that is just left there.

Many rich people selling their property hoping to get out of there.

There were news reports that the state was broke. That was at least 2 or 3 years ago?

If you think that is funny, there's a video of Hunter Biden smoking crack.

Leftists voted for these chumps. Lol.
You mean liberals? Leftists are against both parties and they usually vote for what communist party is running or they don't vote at all. Unless you're talking about radlibs, which just take the communist aesthetics such as the hammer and sickle and the Che shirt, but say contradicting stuff like you must vote for Biden (the same person who said he's a capitalist and that communism doesn't work).

The American Communist Party and various far left parties told leftists to vote for Biden/The Democrat Party.

You want to try again, dude?

You even admitted it.

Leftists, liberals, Republicans who dumped on Trump and said vote for Biden... same s*it. What was your point, anyway? That they are hypocrites? So?

What does that have to do with how they destroyed California? All the same **** turning it to ****.

So why would someone pay over a million dollars for a small property in San Francisco just to be surrounded by homeless people and crazy drug addicts?

Ahww... who doesn't feel sad for little George P. Bush right know? But his dad, Jeb, probably doesn't feel too unhappy about it ;)

I don't want to get into too much details, but the ''leftists'' are less of a stumbling block in Biden's administration than the two Blue Dog Conservatives, Sinema & Manchin, who think that bipartisan deals can be made with a party that basically hates their guts.

Another thing is that some progressives call themselves democratic-socialists. This is just a political group that believes in reforming capitalism and making it work for all people, not just the wealthy 10%. A class system still exists and there is room for free enterprise, but it's a more ''social capitalism'' in which equal opportunity and social mobility are playing a central role.

Communism, from an orthodox perspective, basically entails the nationalisation of all means of production by the government to redistribute wealth (= no free enterprise), which would ultimately evaporate differences between the rich and the poor, and thus create a classless society. But that's not all. A classless society would make the common people more self-sufficient and thus able to rule themselves, which makes the government obsolete, eventually.

I know, I know... it was only half a rhetorical question haha.

But still, even if Silicon Valley is there. Who would want to live in an overpriced area, working at all times, and even so be surrounded by homelessness and drug addiction?

It's an idea that, from an European point of view, is far from appealing.

It's a tough question, but I think that two prominent things come to mind here.

For one, and feel to correct me btw because I'm generalising here and not a San Francisco native, certain people, in this case Young Urban Professionals (YUPs), tend to bend together in places where work is not only the main thing of their lives, but that also living with other like-minded spirits allows them to create an informal network. A sort of hub where people live and come together at clubs and other sceneries to exchange ideas, thoughts, etc. Exchanging ideas creates a synergy that often involves new products, lifestyles & friendships (for example). So, in other words, socialising and achieving professional goals seem to be intertwined and part of the reason why some people tend to settle in specific places like San Francisco. If I'm not mistaken, this phenomenon is called Tacit Knowledge or Tribal Knowledge. It's something I've picked up in a Sociology class ;)

Another thing is gentrification. Some neighbourhoods seem to be changing rapidly, if we look at some articles in The Guardian, for instance. There seems to be a lot of evictions and unaffordable rent increases, which particularly hits the lower class. This is in part due to a high demand for housing (land lords eh?), housing projects for affluent tenants (which attracts more posh restaurants and stores, mostly not affordable for tenants who've lived there for many years) and rent control in San Francisco covers just about 60% of the rental units. This change changes the make-up of a neighbourhood and, as a sort of chain reaction (see my first point), makes it more attractive for affluent and higher educated people to settle in places where other like-minded citizens live.

This is an old article, but I think it's still relevant and it's quite an interesting read:

Geek-driven gentrification threatens San Francisco's bohemian appeal

I'm not in San Francisco, but in Orange county rent has increased something like 41% since January 2020. I'm going off of rent prices I saw when looking for a place and signing a lease back then to now. I was about to move into a place in May for $2020 a month rent (1 bedroom) which the same floorplan is now $2340 just 2 months later.

It seems a high rent, but probably people who live in OC make enough money to pay it. What is the median salary there?

I understand what you are saying. It makes sense but still it seems ironic that tech geeks who a promoting WFH and all sorts of technologies to "connect" and "keep in touch" remotely cannot just move somewhere else and have their own cluster in a cheaper town, driving down prices in SF and boosting prices somewhere else where there would be initially, when they arrive, a much better quality of life and a much better ratio of prices vs income.

I think this is already happening and there's a significant migration of people from San Francisco and NYC to Austin and other places.

But still, I don't see these tech guys as very creative if they cannot just get paid the same and move to some coastal paradise in way cheaper South America, or at least to Florida haha.

Recently I heard a remarck that is just spot on about technology: "Facebook and Whatsapp are Stalin's dream to control people".

Fed signals taper decision closer as US economy makes 'progress'

https://www.ft.com/content/6b5992d3-967e-4a63-b159-a398654d6199

Powell has taken a cautious approach to reducing the Fed's monetary stimulus, even as more hawkish officials have pushed for swifter action. During a press conference on Wednesday, he said that additional improvements were needed, particularly in the labour market.

"I think we're a ways away from having had substantial further progress toward the maximum employment goal. I would want to see some strong job numbers."

-------------------

This Powell guy is just a fool. It's amazing that he can do exactly the opposite he advocated for in 2013, when numbers were even worse than today, including "job numbers".

Biden, as far as the economy is concerned, is doing exactly the same as Trump, so you have nothing to fear...

The same fool is still in charge of the FED.
I don't "fear" anything. Biden will likely drive the economy down, and when the panic starts, I will take advantage of the buying opportunities and go shopping in the stock market. I don't really like making a bundle this way, I'd rather have a vibrant economy such as the way it was during Trump's term when everybody was profiting. However, since enough people wanted Biden and that trashy VP, I and others will survive and prosper by helping out those who must sell their investments cheap, thanks to the Democrats.

Last year, in 2020, the CDC said that there would not be a vaccine for COVID-19 until the summer of 2021. With Trump's Warp Speed mandate, we had the vaccines available in the winter of 2021, much earlier than the CDC's estimate. President Biden and his dummy VP are failing to implement enough successful vaccination programs. Not enough people have received vaccinations, and the result is more cases and more deaths. Thanks, Joe, you're doing a great job, according to yourself.

Woww... nothing you wrote makes sense at all...

Trump said coronavirus would go away "like a miracle" and suggested that people should inject bleach to get rid of the virus. This Trump guy was a deep thinker haha.

You are likely misquoting him, but it doesn't matter, the results of Operation Warp Speed are beyond amazing. The "Dog Faced Pony Soldier" remark by Biden, and many others are no more intelligent than any offhand remarks that Trump may have uttered.

We first heard about COVID-19 in early 2020, by March of that year it was starting to spread. The CDC, later said that we would not have a vaccine before the summer of 2021. We had it by the end of 2020, six months earlier than predicted, thanks to Trump. The vaccine mandate has been responsible for preventing untold numbers of cases and deaths.

We owe Trump the recognition for Operation Warp Speed, and I believe that he will eventually be credited for it, much more than he currently is.

Is it really Biden's fault people are refusing the vaccine for political reasons? What do you want him to do? Mandate it?

Yes we have a higher median salary, but rent is at a higher rise than wages. It's unsustainable when you realistically are making less and less each year with rents rising higher than your yearly raise.
