2020 US Presidential Election

No, look at her affiliation with planned parenthood. What kind of God would approve of that?
Well if there can only be one "Anti christ" why is she signalled out to you? Obama was pro choice. Biden is pro choice. Trump used to be pro choice until it became politically unfavorable to be. Here he is in 1999 talking about it:

https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/video/trump-in-1999-i-am-very-pro-choice-480297539914

Would you have said he is the "Anti Christ" then?

Anyone else find it strange that while other Presidents and nominees supported Planned Parenthood, that it is a Black Woman in a position of power that is called the Antichrist?

Other politicians have supported Planned Parenthood as well but they arent the Antichrist?

No, that is disgusting as well. Some of the priests have been prosecuted.
I was taught priests were vessels of god. OH THANK GOD SOME OF THEM HAVE BEEN PROSECUTED! Just for clarity, this was after the church (your gods church) helped shuffle them around to hide them, right? This was decades after the church and its leaders were well aware that priests have been assaulting boys and they were just hiding them and keeping it out of the press right?

Just making sure.

Seems pretty contradictory to pick and choose when to be a believer and stand behind your religion when it suits you.

Trump has bragged about sexually assaulting/harassing women. Trump had an extramarital affair with a porn star and paid her off while his wife was pregnant.

What kind of God or believer is ok with that behavior?

The argument for or against abortion (and there are nuanced positions on this topic) should have absolutely nothing to do with religion. Religion is just a cheap way to try to "win" the argument.

Everyone has some skeletons in their closet. People can change you know. Humans are not perfect, never will be. The priests were not screened properly. A lot of diocese's went bankrupt because of the scandals.

Why does Trump continue to accept donations from White Supremacists? And why does he refuse to condemn them?
Trump, Aug. 14, 2017: As I said on Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It has no place in America.

And as I have said many times before: No matter the color of our skin, we all live under the same laws, we all salute the same great flag, and we are all made by the same almighty God. We must love each other, show affection for each other, and unite together in condemnation of hatred, bigotry, and violence. We must rediscover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans.

Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.

We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our Creator. We are equal under the law. And we are equal under our Constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America. Donald J.Trump
Why did he call countries in Africa shithole countries?
He didn't. I think he was talking about Haiti, which is a Caribbean country.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...hole-countries-tweet-denies-immigration-talks [/QUOTE]
If Trump is going to do away with Police Unions, then why do Cops love him so much?
Where did anybody say that Trump was going to do away with police unions? Good luck in finding it, because nobody ever said that, as far as I know.
Why did Trump brag about assaulting women?
When did he brag about assaulting women? Do you have something to back this claim up?
Why has Trump repeatedly insulted Anthony Fauci for doing his job? Why did he leave the W.H.O in the middle of a pandemic?
When did he do this? Dr. Fauchi has said that he gets along well with Donald Trump. Do you have some kind of source your assertion? Is Trump not permitted to have a disagreement with anybody, ever? If Dr. Fauchi is unhappy with the administration of Donald Trump, he can quit anytime he pleases.
Why did he have the police assault peaceful protesters all for a photoshoot with a bible?
The police were doing what they are payed to do. The protesters were apparently unwilling to disperse.
It's possible that I may have missed your responses, but it seems you keep dodging these questions.
I have answered them all.

Everyone has some skeletons in their closet. People can change you know. Humans are not perfect, never will be. The priests were not screened properly. A lot of diocese's went bankrupt because of the scandals.
We agree that humans aren't perfect. I think some people can change. A priest who uses a child's faith and their own power/role in the church to lure and violently molest them. You think I care that some diocese's closed? What does that matter? I sincerely hope any church that facilitated molestation closes. If it is a simple screening issue, then why do we still every year or 2 hear some awful more stories? Seems like more than just a screening issue.

Don't hurt yourself bending over backwards to excuse horrible people in the name of 'god' whenever it suits you.

So just so I understand, are you opposed to any deficit spending at anytime? Because if so, that's your opinion and you have a right to it. That said, the difference between a few trillion dollars to fill in the whole because of a depression and printing 100 trillion should be fairly obvious.

Most of the bailout money isn't going to people who get to make big bets though, most of the money outlined in the heroes act is going to the working class who are struggling to make ends meet.
You didn't understand my point at all.

Fair enough on him denoucning the white supremacists, I guess. Doesn't excuse his own racsism.
When did he brag about assaulting women? Do you have something to back this claim up?
"I moved on her actually. You know she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I'll admit it. I did try and fuck her, she was married."

"Yeah that's her with the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful... I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything"
He didn't. I think he was talking about Haiti, which is a Caribbean country.
I hardly see how that's more appropriate.
The police were doing what they are payed to do. The protesters were apparently unwilling to disperse.
Peaceful protesters shouldn't be forced to disperse.

Fauci is just saving face by saying he and Trump gets along. It's clear that Trump has zero respect for him. Trump is allowed to disagree, but actual lives are stake and Trump is going out of his way to discredit and impede the efforts of medical experts.

Might be taking a break from this thread for a little. Stuff going on IRL.

Don't hurt yourself bending over backwards to excuse horrible people in the name of 'god' whenever it suits you
I was not excusing anything. I was just noting the fact that some dioceses went bankrupt because of the priests, not the parishioners.

'Play it down': Trump admits to concealing the true threat of coronavirus in new Woodward book

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump admitted he knew weeks before the first confirmed US coronavirus death that the virus was dangerous, airborne, highly contagious and "more deadly than even your strenuous flus," and that he repeatedly played it down publicly, according to legendary journalist Bob Woodward in his new book "Rage."

"This is deadly stuff," Trump told Woodward on February 7.

In a series of interviews with Woodward, Trump revealed that he had a surprising level of detail about the threat of the virus earlier than previously known. "Pretty amazing," Trump told Woodward, adding that the coronavirus was maybe five times "more deadly" than the flu.

Trump voters just don't care about any of this.

It's like what Michael Cohen said. It's a cult. And there is a BIIIG component of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" going on.
What about nepotism? Do Trump voters care about nepotism, about the fact that this guy has surrounded himself of half his family and given them positions in the government or the White House even if they are not qualified at all for those positions?

The argument for or against abortion (and there are nuanced positions on this topic) should have absolutely nothing to do with religion. Religion is just a cheap way to try to "win" the argument.
People who use religion in this argument should at least be aware this is what the bible says about abortion:

• A pregnant woman who is injured and aborts the fetus warrants financial compensation only (to her husband), suggesting that the fetus is property, not a person (Exodus 21:22-25).

• The gruesome priestly purity test to which a wife accused of adultery must submit will cause her to abort the fetus if she is guilty, indicating that the fetus does not possess a right to life (Numbers 5:11-31).

• God enumerated his punishments for disobedience, including "cursed shall be the fruit of your womb" and "you will eat the fruit of your womb," directly contradicting sanctity-of-life claims (Deuteronomy 28:18,53).

• Elisha's prophecy for soon-to-be King Hazael said he would attack the Israelites, burn their cities, crush the heads of their babies and rip open their pregnant women (2 Kings 8:12).

• King Menahem of Israel destroyed Tiphsah (also called Tappuah) and the surrounding towns, killing all residents and ripping open pregnant women with the sword (2 Kings 15:16).

• Isaiah prophesied doom for Babylon, including the murder of unborn children: "They will have no pity on the fruit of the womb" (Isaiah 13:18).

• For worshiping idols, God declared that not one of his people would live, not a man, woman or child (not even babies in arms), again confuting assertions about the sanctity of life (Jeremiah 44:7-8).

• God will punish the Israelites by destroying their unborn children, who will die at birth, or perish in the womb, or never even be conceived (Hosea 9:10-16).

• For rebelling against God, Samaria's people will be killed, their babies will be dashed to death against the ground, and their pregnant women will be ripped open with a sword (Hosea 13:16).

Above bullet points taken from this website:

https://ffrf.org/component/k2/item/25602-abortion-rights

If using the bible for morality, it also sanctions slavery, rape (taking concubines from the losing nation against their will after war), and more. At a time when "an eye for an eye" was practiced the punishment for causing the loss of unborn life was a fine (this was also the punishment for rape not in war time btw).

Which means "God's law" sees an "eye for eye" except when it came to women and the unborn they carried.

I have decided to vote for Trump because he is the more honest candidate. Neither one of them are going to risk going against the unions, so we might as well put Biden on the sidelines with that woman. Biden is letting the progressives lead him along like a lost dog. The woman that he chose, is a disaster waiting to happen, should he (Biden) win, and expire or be forced to leave the presidency due to failing health. He is making promises that he has no intention of keeping, whereas Trump, on the other hand, has a pretty good track record of keeping his promises and when he doesn't, there's usually good reason for it.

In the meantime, the bad cops will remain on the unionized police department's payrolls. I would suggest that unless it's absolutely necessary, don't talk to the cops. Don't push their buttons, call them names, or antagonize them in any way. Just steer clear of them, whenever possible. This is common sense, but apparently many people are deficient in this area, from all backgrounds, when it comes to police officers.
How is Joe Biden being led by the left? Can you point me to some policies that he has endorsed that'd you consider to be radically left? Because he's not for Medicare for all, legal pot, free college, a UBI or a job guarantee. Joe Biden is pretty moderate, so I'd love to know what positions he has that demonstrate he's being led by the left, since I hear it a lot. Harris is also a moderate who isn't for any of those things, except legal weed. So how is she radical?

What promise has Joe Biden made that you feel he doesn't intend to keep? Donald Trump promised a lot stuff that he didn't deliver on. He didn't investigate Hillary Clinton, he didn't balance the budget, he didn't bring our troops home, he never made an infrastructure deal, not only did he not fix the healthcare system but his supported legislation didn't come close to his campaign promise of universal healthcare. He didn't drain the swamp, the second he got in he brought Wall Street into his administration. I can cite all these broken promises if you want proof and they aren't small promises either.

Fair enough on him denoucning the white supremacists, I guess. Doesn't excuse his own racsism.
You are conducing a racism witch hunt, which is very popular these days. Tell it to the minorities are going to vote for him. And tell it to Biden, who worked in politics with known segregationists.

Sounds like it's consensual. If that is the case, it's not an assault. These women are like groupies, only interested and/or attracted, because he is very wealthy and famous. They throw themselves at men like him.
I hardly see how that's more appropriate.
Haiti became a military dictatorship. This thread is not the place to study it, suffice to say that Trump's vulgar description is correct.

Peaceful protesters shouldn't be forced to disperse.
I disagree. Refusing to leave, when told, is not part of "peaceful" protest, when it inconveniences others who have important reasons for them to leave.

"Today I walk in, I hear I'm going to fire him. I'm not firing him. I think he is a wonderful guy," the President told reporters during the daily White House briefing.
Trump said his retweet doesn't matter, and the tweet was "somebody's opinion." The President said he did notice the "fire Fauci" hashtag before he retweeted it.
"This was a person's view. Not everybody's happy with Anthony. Not everybody is happy with everybody. But I will tell you, we have done a job the likes of which nobody has ever done," Trump said.

"Fauci later said he had made a poor choice of words, and Trump said he had no intention of removing the doctor from the pandemic response team."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They get along great. And, if they didn't, that is OK, also. You have to understand that not everybody agrees with everybody else, in politics. They're men, and they're allowed to question and disagree with each other. This is a good thing, and real progress is made, this way.

This is the Real World, of high stakes and life or death decisions, and Trump is not like Biden, Obama, that woman who was named "Porker of the Year 2018", or Hillary Clinton. He is a different type of person, with a different background, and I feel that he's doing an above average job, as president.
Might be taking a break from this thread for a little. Stuff going on IRL.
Take a break. I've answered many questions, more than enough. You won't get it, so don't waste our time anymore. The real world is a tough place, and Trump has ample experience with it. If you want to put Biden, in the White House, along with that woman, go ahead it makes no difference to me. You can put in Little Bo Peep, for all I care. I am in fairly good shape, in terms of my income and future. I know how to survive almost anything, and what I don't know, I will learn, but it's others that will mostly suffer from the policies and actions of a Biden and Harris administration.

It won't matter. He is on *tape* admitting he knew he was lying about COVID-19 and his supporters will *still* say any criticism of him is "fake news."

It's a cult at this point.

Not to defend Trump, but many world leaders have downplayed the threat of the virus.

Putin, Johnson, Sanchez, Lukashenko, Bolsanaro, Obrador, Rouhani, Conte, Jinping to name but a few.

The problem is that Trump supporters never seem to admit when he's clearly lying.

What part of "I don't even wait" sounds consensual? What do you think the word "wait" is in reference to? Wait for...could it be consent?

If you are in the "defend Access Hollywood and all of Trump's (many) sexual assault accusations" camp, there's not a damn thing anyone on here can say to sway you. It's really sad to see, as you seem like a pretty bright person. I guess it goes to show that supporting Donald Trump is more than just being dumb. I enjoy reading your perspective, as I find it useful to see what Trump voters are saying, but there is an awful lot of denial going on.

Oh he's clearly lying about many things, but then what politician isn't?

People get stuck in supporting the narrative/the conveyor of the narrative and won't have anything said against them.

It's pretty petty really, but it seems both the left and the right and all the shades inbetween get caught in an egotistical merry-go-round where they can't admit fault or accept anything outside of their narrative.

I don't support either candidate or party and I sure won't vote for Biden.

Obamacare...

The problem with Obamacare is that its well-connected and influential supporters — pet businesses, unions and congressional insiders — have already won exemption from it. The rich will always have their concierge doctors and Cadillac health plans. The poor can usually find low-cost care through Medicaid, federal clinics and emergency rooms.

In contrast, those who have lost their preferred individual plans, or will pay higher premiums and deductibles, are largely members of the self-employed middle class. They are too poor to have their own exclusive health care coverage, but too wealthy for most government subsidies. So far, Obamacare is falling hardest on the middle class.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/dec/26/hanson-the-orphaned-middle-class/

When Obamacare was passed, emergency rooms that were already crowed became much more so. 25% of Americans that don't fit into the statistics above, skip necessary medical care and another 20% have major unexpected medical bills to pay. Obamacare also caused a clinic environment for those with tinnitus. Because of costs of insurance, any non elite private plan, ENT's where I worked were told to tell patients "learn to live with it". Eye exams and other services also became that of a clinic. MRIs were of exception because insurance only pays a small fraction of cost and the hospital still also makes a profit as surgery is often a conclusion.

If he was actually "assaulting" women, don't you think that they'd have called the police? He has the ability to know when his attentions are not welcome, I'm sure. He has so many opportunities, there's no reason for him to force himself on an unwilling woman.

I hate to break this to you, but over half the women in this country, or more, would drop everything, to date Donald Trump. Even if they disliked him, they'd do it because of the possibility he'd either marry them, or reward them in some way, for their time and company. Don't believe it? Well there's no way to prove or disprove it, but if I've learned anything in my life, it's that money talks, nobody walks. I am sure that a huge percentage of women would dump their husbands or boyfriends, in a New York Minute, to marry him, if the opportunity arose, even if only long enough to collect a nice, fat divorce settlement.
