2020 US Presidential Election

Shrug. Sanders has described this as a "dumb attempt at dark satire" so it seems like there is a larger context missed.

I used to belong to a weekly writing group until last year and I would certainly not want to be judged by some of the more bizarre submissions.

It's not like writing about horror makes Stephen King a closet unfulfilled murderer.

At the same time, I will be the first to admit if Trump wrote that, i would be like "wtf?!" so I know bias plays into how we interpret these things.

Poor person becomes a politician and becomes rich... Rich person becomes a politician and gets poorer, and is suddenly a racist... Politicians should not be getting rich.

Should there be term limits? Bernie says "no."
America First is a good policy IMO

Meanwhile in the UK...

(Andrew Neil is a particularly tough TV political journalist, who all the other party leaders faced up to, with the exception of Boris Johnson, who declined the invitation for an interview).

I've always voted for Democratic Presidential candidates, but here is a counter argument against Bernie:
https://gregolear.substack.com/p/bern-after-reading-i-recognize-the

It asserts that Bernie, like Trump, is a Russian active measure in addition to being supported by the NRA. Not to say that's Bernie's fault, but I'm thinking their popularity is largely assisted by Russia and the NRA. Personally, I agree that there are big problems with corporate control, but changes do not happen very quickly, so it is better to work with the system we have rather than claiming that things can be changed overnight. Honestly, Obama, Trump, and most the current candidates (except Biden) seem to claim they are/were going to create huge changes when it's obviously not going to happen. Everything is going to stay pretty much the same. One of the most important things I look at is honesty.

there are big problems with corporate control, but changes do not happen very quickly

From my recollection of American history, major changes to corporate control did happen fairly quickly during the administration of Theodore Roosevelt. I think a number of huge corporations were broken up, and a number of anti-monopoly laws were passed.

I've long felt it was time for another Theodore Roosevelt like administration, as the corporate control(s) in this country are simply staggering. That's why I've supported Warren first, and Sanders second. But after Warren's handling of her "disagreement" with Bernie, I've switched my preference to Sanders. I thought she showed poor judgment on that one.

I think Warren should win. It seemed odd that Warren brought up something Bernie said privately, seeing as how it can't be proved, but apparently Warren thought it was important enough to address. Regardless, it's time to have a woman president. Democrats should just keep running women until one wins. I agree with Warren that billionaires really should give back more to this country in the form of taxes if they won't do it any other way.

It's baffling to me that poor people are screaming for the rights of billionaires to keep all their money. Like, somehow that billionaire would do the same for them. If the tables were turned, the billionaire would screw over anyone if it meant an extra dime in their pocket. They really have half the public wrapped around their fingers.

but apparently Warren thought it was important enough to address.

From what I can gather, she "acted" because she noticed Bernie's poll numbers were improving while hers were deteriorating. If it was the reverse, it's unlikely she would have sought to make this "disagreement" a big deal--which she knowingly did. -- Just really poor judgment, especially considering they've been "friends" for so many years.

Americans here really scary. I hope it is a medical condition.

Sanders organizer supports gulags and re-education camps. Many people here support a nutjob communist who is sympathetic to the NKVD.

I don't like Trump and believe both parties are generally the same except for their extreme left wing apparently. But, I hope I am gone before enough stupid Americans give enough support to the nutjobs.

I listened to or watched every minute of the House Impeachment hearings. My Tinnitus was quiet during that time; in fact, I had to look for it on occasion. Now, with the Senate "Trial" coming up - I am not sure I will be able to continue with this historical event because every time a comment comes out of a Republican Senator's mouth - my Tinnitus rages. Too much idiocy causing stress, I guess. lol We, in Kentucky, have double duty. Moscow Mitch is up for re-election and we just cannot let that happen. (YES, we need term limits.) As far as the Presidential election goes, I am still evaluating the Democratic candidates. But no matter - I will be voting for the person chosen to run against #TrumpRussia. Have a great day, everyone!

@Autumnly, aren't you in Germany? Brainwashed morons totally ruined your country.

If Americans are too stupid to realize the parties are the same and decide to vote for authoritarian Marxists, then so be it. I really don't care but people are so stupid and the majority are fucking up their countries.

Btw, they won't help you with your condition. You are all idiots. Tag my post, as funny, morons. Geez. :(

This is loooooooney toons lmao Bernie just hasn't made gun control a central point in his campaign because gun control in the US is FUBAR. I don't like guns but the only thing I'd call for is background checks and stopping gun show sales. Trick out your AR, whatever, I don't care.

Just read the following (below). -- I don't know how either Biden or Warren can make a comeback at this point. Biden has consistently done poorly in debates, and seems to have lost the confidence of most primary voters--including me.

I think Warren's downfall (which started with the unveiling of her poorly-conceived Medicare plan) accelerated when she created that totally unnecessary debacle on the debate stage with Bernie Sanders. Bernie's numbers skyrocketed afterwards, and Warren's took a nosedive. -- I currently think Amy Klobuchar has the best chance of beating Trump. I think she'd likely sweep most of the upper midwest, possibly even including Ohio.

Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar has consistently over performed during debates, and her latest showing helped propel her to a strong third-place finish in New Hampshire. The fact that she leapfrogged Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former Vice President Joe Biden, with more votes than both of them combined, is extraordinary.

I think either Bernie or Klob could beat Trump and neither would hold back in the debate. Pete and his vague talking points would get his ass handed to him imo.

Pete and his vague talking points would get his ass handed to him imo.

Pete actually seems pretty substantive compared to Beto O'Rourke. lol -- I agree Bernie would do just fine in a debate, but I'm concerned his "socialist" bent might cost him votes that Klobuchar could get.

The question should be.. does it matter who actually win ?

Tbh I think Trump will win again, so the world can laugh for the next 4 years to some memes

Nice post mate 8/8 at least don't mix up things like authoritarian and Marxist.

If literally anyone other than Bernie wins, it doesn't matter. I straight up will not vote for Biden or Buttigieg. I'd probably cast a grudge vote for Warren but she's practically eliminated at this point. Now it's time to test that "blue no matter who" bullshit on her following.

Vegas has Bernie at +150 and Bloomberg at +250. Surprisingly, Buttigieg at +500. Everyone else is way out there.

Bernie Sanders is now officially leading the average polling in Nevada, the next state to vote, with a new poll out today showing him up 7 points over former VP Joe Biden.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/e...vada_democratic_presidential_caucus-6866.html
Nevada is going to be completely fucked because they're using the same or similar voting app that was employed in Iowa, and I'm betting it produces practically identical results (Pete just above Sanders).

The US is a circus and the voters are morons. I just watched a short video in which some nutbars stole his mic. They can't even handle some insane protesters. Both parties are meant to be so out of lunch and are just distractions in the social media world of idiots and clowns. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for being so misled and stupid.

Pretty much the people who ran so far and what they're like:

Bernie: Frequency Theraputics. Community at large is hyped for it.

Yang: Minnesota device. Really good but too ahead of its time right now.

Booker: Desynchra. At least it's trying to be a treatment.

Warren: Lenire. It's a treatment but not as good.

Biden: TRT. Really bad option that only people who don't know anything about research seem to support. Supporters are also usually old people.

Buttigieg: CBT. Like TRT but more popular.

Klobuchar: LEVO. Like TRT except nobody really cares about it.

Kamala: AM-101: had a lot of support but quickly fizzled out after the first flounder.

Gabbard: Susan Shore device. Good treatment but not as much hype as FTX or Minnesota device.

Bloomberg: TDT. TRT 2.0. Trying to fill the niche that TRT left behind after it went out of fashion.

After last night's debate: Bloomberg is holding hair dryers next to your ears 24/7 in an attempt to drown out the tinnitus.
