This is good news for Trump, the ruling will help to get him elected in November.
He will go to court and have that amount reduced on appeal, but if that does not happen, it's only 10% of his net worth.
There were no victims in the Trump NYC case, everybody including the banks were happy. The racist, mad-dog Attorney General, Letitia James, was vying to be governor and vowed to "Get Trump" as part of her election strategy when she was running for Attorney General.
The bad news, concerning this boneheaded legal decision against Trump, is that NYC will be losing an important employer who brings thousands of much-needed jobs and business to the City.

Hi buddy. I have never heard of Alex Jones until you mentioned him. I see he is a far right radio host. You may be right regarding the shooting. I'm not sure where I read the shooter was an illegal immigrant. It was a copy/paste. Regardless we need orderly legal immigration, not the current massive illegal immigration with the societal ills they can cause. The military age men coming through our borders is concerning.

Why is Norway paying less than half of what the USA is paying relative to their GDP? And the U.S. is an ocean away from the Ukraine/Russia conflict. There needs to be peace negotiations now to stop the killing and destruction in Ukraine.
Why should some countries get away with paying so little for their NATO membership, yet receive protection from those who pay more? Are they too poor to do so? Then, maybe I could understand, but most are not unable to afford it. Trump is just giving them a verbal kick in the ass, but the snowflake who is narrating the video probably has no experience dealing with business or political leaders like Trump.

The Biden Administration's intentional open border policy, the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, the anti-fossil fuel policies, which is the lifeblood of the US economy, is going to hurt the Democrats immensely in the next election.
Maybe you need a reminder that the only member of NATO that has ever been attacked is the United States. Every single member of NATO sent troops to Afghanistan, as well as several non-members, including Ukraine. A total of 9200 Norwegian soldiers served in Afghanistan, of which ten were sent home in coffins. A total of 1151 non-American soldiers died.
It is beyond insulting that the United States under President Donald Trump:
1. Portrays US allies as leeches.
2. Would not honor Article 5, contrary to what every single US ally did after the US was attacked.
3. Would actually encourage Russia to attack US allies.
To give you an idea about what "little" even means in this context, since I'm assuming you didn't have one already: the European members of NATO spent 1.5% of their combined GDP on the military in 2014, a whopping three years before Donald Trump even took office to complain about a fraction of a percent.

There are 28 NATO countries, not counting the United States, and the average amount that they pay is 1.95% of their GDP. This is what the United States should pay.
Because the United States spend more money on the military than the next ten countries combined.
Because we prioritize what is far and beyond the most important form of national security: universal healthcare.

Actually, the Rebubs and Dems had negotiated a border bill that Biden was going to sign, until Trump demanded the bill not pass, so he could still use the border for campaigning.
America pumped a record number of barrels of oil in 2023. FACT.

That bill was a joke. That's why Mike Johnson wouldn't consider it. H.R. 2 was a real border bill that Chuck Schumer wouldn't consider. Biden has executive authority to close the border now but he refuses to do so.

Democrats made lots of concessions (bill was linked to Ukrainian aid) and they were happy. It was as good a bill as the GOP could have hoped for. That is until their supreme leader (who isn't even a public official currently, by the way) told them to kill the bill (as you pointed out) because it would have made Joey B. look good.
Even the national border patrol union who are very pro-Trump and hate Biden supported the bill. Their livelihoods depend on it, yet they're caught in stupid ass political games by the GOP.
Three things.
1. The bill was a bipartisan effort with numerous GOP provisions incorporated into it — asylum moved to Homeland Security which means persecution without lawyers. You could immediately be rejected for having a criminal history. Asylum claims shortened to 6 months instead of years — It was written by Republican Senator, Jim Langford. A hardcore conservative from Oklahoma.
2. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Maybe this time, it will penetrate through that thick skull of yours. The only way anything gets accomplished in this country is by COMPROMISING. Jesus Christ. It's how progress is made. Jesus Christ.
3. Learn how things work in US politics and step your game up, kiddo.

Hi buddy, that's one of my favorite places to visit. They have fresh spring water that is cold and clean and comes out of caves from the mountains. I often take my wife and kids there for hikes and swimming.
Grilled duck and pork are very popular. Bamboo soup is king for all Laos people as well as spicy papaya salad. Ant eggs are seasonal but delicious in omelets. Insects are eaten mostly in the countryside, anything fried tastes good including crickets. My son is keen on squirrels but I weened him off that as I felt it was a bit dodgy. Being an ex-French colony, you can get great bread and sandwiches anywhere with pate made from pork or duck.
You and the Missus still have an open invitation, I will be your tour guide and I have an extra room. I think your politics are nuts and you have been hoodwinked but I also think you are a great guy. My instinct tells me so.
