2024 US Presidential Election

Shares in Trump's new social media company, Trump Media and Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, rose 26 percent ahead of its New York market debut on Tuesday. They surged more than 45% in the debut on Nasdaq.

He now has a five billion dollar stake in it. This is more than he's ever been worth, and combined with his other assets, his net worth is now over 7 billion. With what has been called the most expensive presidential campaign in history and bonds that he must post while he appeals judgments in his witch hunt trials, this windfall is a welcome relief, although he cannot trade or sell his shares for six months.

there were no victims.
If you rob a bank but give the money back before the police arrive, then you can't be arrested and prosecuted because there are no victims, right?

If you drive drunk and are stopped by the police as you're pulling into your driveway, then you can't be arrested and prosecuted because you didn't damage anything or hurt anyone, right?

Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? "Victimless" crimes don't and shouldn't get a pass, even white-collar crimes.

The Trump company listing on Nasdaq is now up to 15 billion; his share is 9 billion.

On Monday, March 25, 2024, Letitia James, Attorney General of NYS, was expecting to bankrupt Trump and seize his properties to pay a half-billion-dollar bond. In an appeals court, the bond was reduced to 175 million, and he now has 10 days to pay it. As of Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Trump is worth over ten billion dollars and is one of the 500 richest people in the world.

Letitia James screwed up big time and made a complete ass of herself - but who didn't already know that is what she is?

I don't think Trump can sell any DJT stock for several months. I thought Truth Social lost about 30 million or more since it started, so I don't understand how this merger is so valuable. Good for the Trump family if it all works out as they have been viciously attacked by the left for years.

Trump is currently pushing a new grift, peddling bibles via his social media site post today:
"All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It's my favorite book. It's a lot of people's favorite book," Trump added.

"Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing from this country, and I truly believe that we need to bring them back," he said. "It's one of the biggest problems we have. That's why our country's going haywire — we've lost religion in our country."
The "God Bless the U.S.A. Bible" costs $59.99, not including shipping and other fees. It's the "only Bible" endorsed by Trump, the site proclaims. It includes the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence and Pledge of Allegiance - I don't think Trump can risk putting his hand on and swearing anything on this Bible - he may turn to stone.

It adds, it's "the ONLY Bible inspired by America's most recognized patriotic anthem, God Bless The USA."

This is surprising, considering how uber wealthy Trump has become. I can't wait for the official Trump American flag with his mug shot superimposed over the 50 stars.

Remember that "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."

Trump is worth '9 billion' if he was to dump all his shares at today's stock price in 6 months. Until then, he'll have trouble coming up with the $175M bond in nine days. I'm thinking all the juice will be squeezed from this 'pump-n-dump' stock by September.

Since forever, you appear to be conflating Trump's wealth with winning the election and somehow being an effective president. Trump just won again, winning a gag order for his mouth after Trump openly attacked Judge Juan Merchan and his family in a post on Truth Social, targeting the judge's daughter in particular. So much winning, just the BS Trump is known for.

Tired of this shit? We can be done with Trump in November.

Vote blue in November.

I think it's fine that Trump is lending his name to the God Bless the U.S.A. Bible, a slim volume in easy-to-read large type, which includes four important government documents and the words to the song, God Bless the U.S.A. This would be a great gift for a wide range of people, who do not necessarily have to be Trump supporters or religious, to enjoy and use it.

I would rather Trump receive some of his campaign money in this manner than contributions from the war industry, AKA Military Industrial Complex, who expect to be repaid many times over through government contracts and, in the best of times (for them), wars.

Trump is a gambler, as are many highly successful businessmen. It is possible that his newfound wealth could be subject to a significant drop, but it probably will not disappear anytime soon.

Trump, his family members, and others in his circle have been subject to government harassment and more as part of an election interference campaign against him. Trump has named people who are participating in the attempt to prevent him from running for president. Gagging him is a denial of his First Amendment rights.

If they can do it to Trump, they can do it to all of us. It is our job to vote out all Democrats in all future elections to stop this scourge of anti-American injustices by our Democratic Party government.

Trump should open his 'God Bless America Bible' and read Exodus 20:14: "Thou shalt not commit adultery." It might provide him solace as he faces his first criminal trial in New York next month. Remember that Trump is charged in the case with 34 counts of falsifying business records over reimbursements to his then-fixer, Michael Cohen, who paid adult film actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 just before the 2016 election to stay quiet.

I also fondly remember that last time Trump posed with a bible - his photo op at St John's Church, you know, where he held the bible upside down and backward after he gassed protesters out of the way. Trump truly edifies the perfect example of a modern American Christian; he worships power, money, and nothing else. Trump doesn't follow Jesus and never did. Trump ties with Hitler for the very last two people on the planet who should be hawking any religious item. MAGA stands by and cheers him on while he uses their evangelical religion to profit; nothing is too evil as long as the ends justify the means.

At this point, Trump's 'Christianity' feels evil, more like a skin walker wearing the hollowed-out rotting corpse of evangelical Christianity, bearing only its name and iconography.

I believe if anyone subverted the results of a presidential election, they should be prosecuted, as Trump is being; he broke the law by asking Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" more than 11,000 votes he needed to win the state in 2020. This was just after he lost the 2020 election and before Trump decided to run for reelection; so, of course, the rule of law is applied to Trump and any other citizen who is a lawbreaker. Those who refer to the "government harassment and more as part of an election interference campaign against him" are just parroting the usual part and parcel of the lies and the Trump smokescreen that the MAGA cult enjoys pushing.

Trump to his followers: "I'm Being Indicted for You."
Also, Trump: "And, you're going to pay for it."

I'm still in the process of trying to figure out how many votes and which votes from the Democratic and Republican parties might be drawn away by the third-party nomination. It's still a tough call to make.

The money paid to that whore, for an alleged one-time encounter, was Trump's own money, and she was blackmailing him. Normally, this type of case would never go to court, as nobody cares, but Trump is being harassed because of who he is and to hurt his campaign for the presidency.

Trump is not an evangelical Xian; he used them to get elected. This was smart on his part. I do not know what he believes, as far as spirituality, but if he is a non-believer in religion and not a follower of Christ, even in a secular sense, that would be fine with me as I am not, either.

I am sure the mail-in voting the Democrats pushed for was responsible for many invalid votes in their districts, which threw a substantial percentage of non-legal votes to Biden. Trump never said to "create" 11,000 votes, he said to "find" them, and it's up to the courts to determine if this was illegal, if the case is ever resurrected after the Fani Willis debacle.

Trump has hurt his campaign for the presidency by posting this in part on Truth Social on Tuesday, March 26th:
I'm not running to terminate the ACA, AS CROOKED JOE BUDEN DISINFORMATES AND MISINFORMATES ALL THE TIME.
You'd think a Wharton grad and presidential candidate would have a better grasp of the written English language than this. Maybe Trump should hire a copy editor to review prior to releasing a post so full of errors.

The Biden administration had a heartfelt response to Trump's post:
A feeble and confused Trump posts a typo-ridden all-caps rant misspelling' Biden,' 'disinforms,' 'misinforms,' and other basic words.
I've spent a lot of my younger years visiting relatives with Alzheimer's. This? Just... Wow. Those folks weren't as bad as Trump. They might forget their keys or leave the stove on. They certainly didn't give them a path to the presidency. Someone needs to help Donald off the social media stage and into treatment. I'd prefer incarceration (don't we all?), but I'm not too picky at this point so long as he stays as far away as possible from the White House.

Let us now watch as MAGA enthusiasts begin to insist that "disinformate" and "misinformate" are and have always been proper English words.

Anybody else remember when Dan Quayle spelled "potatoe" and no one ever took him seriously again?

Today's headlines show that comedian John Stewart, who has mocked and criticized Trump for overvaluing his property, has been accused of hypocrisy, as he sold his 6,280-square-foot Tribeca duplex, in 2014, for 17.5 million, which was 829% of its actual estimated retail value.

NYS Attorney General Letitia "Loser" James and her judge must now either exonerate Trump or prosecute all who overvalue their properties in New York, which is virtually all property owners.

This is a false equivalency.

Selling property for more than its assessed value is not a crime. It happens all the time in the real estate market.

Inflating the value of properties to obtain larger and more favorable loans and then deflating the value of the same properties to lower the tax liability is a crime(s).

Are you saying that the banks and the FED were hoodwinked by Trump an untold number of times over the years and it was not until Letitia James became Attorney General of NYS, that his alleged crimes were uncovered? Who are the victims, and why has nobody else ever complained about this? Is Trump the only one that is allegedly doing this?

Trump selling bibles now? Advertising it like ISIS would their book. Mixing state and religion!

WOW. What a dangerous path that is...

And why is it so expensive? Is there a centerfold picture of Katie Britt or something?

If he were not so rich, you would think he is selling his soul to gullible Americans to earn some fast cash.

Is he in some kind of financial difficulty or something?

Bill O'Reilly said anyone that would vote for Biden is a dunce :asshat: Illegal immigrants, inflation, disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, are all directly linked to the Biden Administration. O'Reilly thinks Trump will pick Sarah Huckabee Sanders as VP. I watch her father's show on Sunday sometimes, a real no-nonsense person with a sense of humor.

And this is exactly why Trump was found guilty of civil fraud. Trump's appeal will determine if his civil fraud penalty is allowed to stand. Trump's level of civil fraud is unprecedented in its breadth and depth, and NY state has Mary Trump to thank for the evidence that opened the public's eyes to his continual deceit.

It's interesting how Trump and his brain-dead cultist followers keep arguing that he's entitled to committing crimes. Truly the party of law and order.

Is almost half the country considered a "cult"?

Trump has not been convicted in criminal court of anything.

Joe Biden is currently committing the true "crimes" in the White House, and hopefully, he will be held accountable for them.

There is increasing public concern about Trump's growing misuse of the written word that indicates a potential of dementia. Trump's writing for example:
  • "Stollen" for stolen

  • "Honered" for honored

  • "Unpresidented" for unprecedented

  • "Smocking" for smoking

  • "Sole" for soul

  • "Frorida" for Florida

  • "Melanie" for Melania

  • "Capital Hill" for Capitol Hill

  • "Infair" for unfair

  • "Shoebiz" for showbiz

  • "Marine Core" for Marine Corps

  • "Boarder" for border

  • "Loose" for lose

  • "Leightweight" for lightweight

  • "Grest" for great

  • "Hearby" for hereby

  • "Hamberders" for hamburgers
These mistakes have increased from 2016. Very troubling events, as Trump is a Wharton graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.

"I'm very highly educated. I know words, I have the best words."

With a presidential campaign, 500 companies, a fortune worth 10 billion dollars, and court cases intended to interfere with his campaign, Trump does not have the time to correct his typos and fix all of the spell-check errors, which are extremely common for virtually everybody who communicates through social media, online.

I don't understand why so many people who don't live in this country are so concerned about Trump's faults and not Biden's. They sound a lot like the extreme left-wing media. I'm much more concerned about the policies of the President and their listening to the concerns of the American people.

Now Biden is talking about pollution from diesel semi-trucks that carry the vast majority of our freight across the country.

Trump does not have the time to correct his typos and fix all of the spell-check errors, which are extremely common for virtually everybody who communicates through social media, online.
You are incorrect. Virtually everyone I correspond with, who truly cares about communication over social media and wishes to communicate clearly and precisely, somehow manages to get their message across, without typos or misspellings. Even other billionaires and other busy business people somehow manage it effortlessly; Trump could do it if it mattered to him, regardless of his busy schedule.

While in his rage tweet storms, Trump obviously doesn't concern himself with communicating in a way that is clearly understood by the recipients. He is becoming more unintelligible by the day.

His dementia is transparent and he demonstrates it in his writings and his verbal gaffes, now often by the hour. He needs serious treatment, as opposed mollycaudling him into the White House.

Trump needs to focus and double his efforts into his deals selling Bibles, sneakers, perfumes, swag, his 'send me money' requests to his Maga faithful, the American flag with his mugshot on it and his NFTs of himself with a six-pack, to raise cash to pay his lawyers, his civil fraud judgments, and his defamation judgment. He needs to concentrate on his multiple grifts, while defending his brand and keeping his ass out of jail.

He's plainly just too busy to run for, let alone, be president again. Where would he find the time?

Are your friends facing multiple indictments, such as those issued against Trump by a racist, sexist Attorney General who swore to "Get Trump" during her campaign?

Trump attended the wake for a slain NYC police officer, while Biden, Clinton, and Obama were attending a fundraiser for Biden, at Radio City, where they raised 26 million for Biden's re-election campaign. Even the anti-Trump media pointed out the contrast. The man who killed the police officer had been arrested 21 times and released. NYS Governor Hochul, a Democrat who has caused crime to rise in NYC, was ejected from the wake, and the video is all over the internet.

Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are the least financially corrupt politicians to have sought the presidency in at least the past eight years. They are different politically, but they are not sell-outs like Biden.

I have no problem with Trump offering Bibles, or other things, to those who wish to contribute a small amount to his campaign. He is asking for a little from a lot of people, not a lot from a few.

Trump's biggest scam is set to become reality.

While many companies aren't profitable for a decade or more, they make up for that by building users, building a market, actually having growth in other areas than profit.

Truth Social, a company that had three employees, had half of a percent as many monthly users as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. It hasn't grown at a rate that would suggest it can ever be anything more than a money loser. Its main purpose right now is to be propped up by rich Republicans for political reasons to support Trump.

But still, the premise of investing in a company where you know the primary shareholder is planning to jettison their shares as soon as he possibly can is a whole new level of cynical I didn't think that could be achieved.

The DJT stock is entirely a pump and dump scam and it's ridiculous that it's allowed. A lot of the MAGA cult are going to lose all their money investing in it when Trump cashes out, once he legally can, leaving them holding a bag of penny stocks.

Unlike Trump, I don't think anyone should be legally fleeced or scammed, no matter how stupid they appear.

Do you think that Nasdaq would accept a company that is as you described? The NYSE has said that they would welcome his company if he decided to switch, as well. These two major world financial institutions are not prone to listing "pump and dump scams".

Of course they are not prone to, but they have listed stocks that fell victim to the pump and dump scheme. Time will tell if investors are left holding Trump's empty bag.

The Securities and Exchange Commission regulates Nasdaq, and this governing body has rules that must be adhered to by them (Nasdaq) and the firms that are listed with them. Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social (symbol DJT), will be subject to Nasdaq internal reviews, corporate governance, audits, quarterly reports, yearly examinations, etc. The same basic procedures and similar rules would apply at the NYSE if the company were listed on it. If a member firm does not comply with the exchange it belongs to, it can be prosecuted, fined, and delisted. I doubt that Trump would do or allow anything that would put the firm at risk.

In the January 6th aftermath, Charles Sicknick said that Trump waited three days after his son's dead body, Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, was released from the hospital to lower the flags at the White House to half-staff.
The first one to call us was Joe Biden and he was crying on the phone," he said Friday. "The only thing Donald Trump cares about is Donald Trump.
On Thursday, retired Capital Police Sergeant Aqulino Gonell said this about Trump's appearance at the New York policeman's wake:
This is the same person that calls capital rioters 'patriots', political prisoners, and hostages instead of calling them what they really are...convicted criminals. As an opportunistic grifter that he is, he claims to support the police, law and order, the rule of law and yet, he has not met with any officers from Capitol Police.
Lawyer Ron Filipkowski wrote on X on Thursday afternoon:
Nobody exploits a murder like Trump. Meanwhile, he wants to pardon people who beat up cops on J6.
Biden's $26 million NYC fundraiser was planned weeks in advance and well-publicized; it was quite successful and attended by two past presidents. In my opinion, Trump, in order to create a headline, was on the lookout to latch onto something during that time frame to then use as a contrast to Biden's "elite" fundraiser. His campaign likely scouted alternate contrasting events Trump could attend but got "lucky" with this statistically likely officer's death.

This was primarily just a fortuitous, opportune campaign stop for Trump, since he was already in New York dealing with his hush money trial. This made it easy to swing by for the cameras for his photo op, guaranteeing that his MAGA faithful will speak out positively about him attending.

In more Trump news, concern about Trump's mental fitness continues to grow, and even the right-wing Daily Mail is now probing Trump's rapid decline into dementia.

"Biden's brain is aging. Trump's brain is dementing":
He often rambles — sometimes incoherently — for long periods of time. His remarks tend to be scrambled, disjointed and filled with factual errors.
These 'semantic disruptions,' the verbal mixing up of facts, could be early signs of dementia.
The concern is we're seeing these slips more and more at rallies that are at night, which go on for several hours. In dementia patients, symptoms of their condition often become worse at night, which is referred to as 'sundowning.'
This is a new report about Trump's escalating dementia. While Biden isn't a fantastic public speaker, and he has struggled with his lifelong stammer, Trump's gaffes are often absolutely nonsensical, in my opinion.

When you drill down into the details, there's a big difference between getting some details mixed up vs. mistaking your rape victim for your ex-wife and thinking Obama is still President and your current presidential opponent.

This is a new report about Trump's escalating dementia. While Biden isn't a fantastic public speaker, and he has struggled with his lifelong stammer, Trump's gaffes are often absolutely nonsensical, in my opinion.

When you drill down into the details, there's a big difference between getting some details mixed up vs. mistaking your rape victim for your ex-wife and thinking Obama is still President and your current presidential opponent.
Of the two of them, I'd take a Trump with dementia over Biden at his best. The latter is the War Party Candidate and will continue to be as long as he is supported by the Military Industrial Complex, which Trump is not. It is appalling to me that there are so many voters who support a warmonger like Biden over a candidate who had peace in the world during his term.

In the January 6th aftermath, Charles Sicknick said that Trump waited three days after his son's dead body, Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, was released from the hospital to lower the flags at the White House to half-staff.

On Thursday, retired Capital Police Sergeant Aqulino Gonell said this about Trump's appearance at the New York policeman's wake:

Lawyer Ron Filipkowski wrote on X on Thursday afternoon:

Biden's $26 million NYC fundraiser was planned weeks in advance and well-publicized; it was quite successful and attended by two past presidents. In my opinion, Trump, in order to create a headline, was on the lookout to latch onto something during that time frame to then use as a contrast to Biden's "elite" fundraiser. His campaign likely scouted alternate contrasting events Trump could attend but got "lucky" with this statistically likely officer's death.

I have a sister-in-law with dementia, and during the day, if she speaks, it's understandable, but as the day progresses, the speech becomes out of sync, and it does not make much sense. I'm pretty sure as the day goes on, the brain becomes exhausted and sentence processing is obscure. A really fucked-up disease.
