2024 US Presidential Election

@RunningMan, do you agree with the Democrats on this bill?

House passed the 'Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,' which bans biological men in girls' sports.

206 Democrats voted against it.
I only agree with the few Democrats who have voted in favor of it. Any explanations of opposition have been pretty lame, such as pointing out that other differences give some people an advantage in sports, so it shouldn't matter that men have an advantage in women's sports. Crazy.

I don't agree 100% with either party by a long shot.

I also opposed Biden's student loan bailouts. I shouldn't have to pay for these people's college loans while my own friends, relatives, and I saved and worked to pay off our own loans.

I also opposed the bipartisan passing of the repeal of WEP/GPO to provide higher social security benefits to those with sweet government pensions, further straining a social security fund that is nearing bankruptcy and increasing the threat of earlier and/or more significant future cuts to the social security benefits for those who most need them.

I have been mulling over the stories that emerged during Trump's first term. Chaotic would probably be the word most commonly used in the reports.

The British ambassador—or was it the consul?—faced a lot of criticism after his report to the British government got leaked to the press. Let's just say it was not exactly… diplomatic.

Many critics of Trump attributed his successes during the first term to that ever-elusive ingredient: "luck." Well, I wish both America and Trump plenty of that remarkable quality.

As for Joe Biden, I believe he was a decent man. However, certain things—like the discovery of yet another underground tunnel linking Mexico to the United States—are undeniably anxiety-inducing. Was it on the San Diego side or the El Paso side? I cannot quite recall.

Honestly, who even needs a passport when you can just use a tunnel? Probably cheaper too.
I'm pretty sure that Trump was just asking where the men's restroom was. He said that he had to take a Joe and wipe his Biden.
Just bide-in' his time in the restroom, I guess.

Renaming Mount Denali back to Mount McKinley, renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America*, and expanding the USA?

Looks like Manifest Destiny is back on the menu, boys. Speak softly, and carry a big sharpie.

*How would this work, actually?

Let the insanity commence!
It's quite the opposite. There will be a return to normalcy. The borders will be closed and criminal migrants and gangs will be captured and deported. he United States has the greatest amount of oil in the world and will begin to drill and supply far more of it to the world. Government waste will be curtailed and enormous tax savings will be the result. The military will return to its primary goal of protecting the country instead of being an experiment for DEI hiring. Federal workers will return to work in person, full-time in offices rather than working at home. Government censorship will cease and free speech will be restored. Peace and security will be more viable than it has been in years. There are many more examples.

The nazis have taken over the US government.

Trump just pardoned this guy and 1500 other scumbags for attempting a coup on his behalf and with his encouragement.

Trump is letting his dogs loose to terrorize anyone who doesn't fit their ideals: "liberals," non-whites, and LGBT people, and he is going to pardon them every step of the way. Hell, the US Supreme Court has given Trump a blanket check to kill and imprison anyone he deems an "enemy of the people."

This is the America you wanted, @Luman. I hope you're happy.

This image really encapsulates what is going on right now.

We can see (the attempt at) a loveless kiss and the grim/evil demeanor. There's nothing new there.

But what's disturbing is the clueless sheep in the background going, "Awwww!" I think you can spot @Luman "The Happy Clapper" in the upper-left corner!

America is being "duped" willingly and with their eyes wide shut!

Top this off with the image of his protégé, in a moment of unbridled enthusiasm, gives the world a "Seig Heil!" it's hard not to draw parallels to what happened in Germany almost a century ago as @Anomalous pointed out.

I just really, really hope I'm wrong about the whole scene!

"Peace, by strength" sounds really good. But what if you put your feet wrong because you think you couldn't?

Boy, are we in for an entertaining time!

What else would you expect? Hollywood has burned down, and the entertainment capital of America (and much of the world) has shifted to Washington, DC.

If Kamala Harris had been smart, she would have listened to Trump's criticisms of her campaign and changed her approach to appeal to the average working and middle-class voters. She was not (smart), and deserved to lose.

It's hard to picture Trump, an ardent supporter of Israel, with Jewish grandchildren, being a Nazi, but that's part of TDS.

He's going to secure the borders and clean the country up, from illegals, as best as possible starting with the criminal element.

And, if that's "Nazism," Obama is one as well.

What to expect from lame-duck Trump in terms of actual economic policy— generous tax cuts for the rich, reduced regulations that benefit big corporations, and likely tariffs on Canada and Mexico.
Awwww!" I think you can spot @Luman "The Happy Clapper" in the upper-left corner!
I think that Trump stooge and brown nose is Doug Burgum, former governor of North Dakota.

Trump just pardoned this guy and 1500 other scumbags for attempting a coup on his behalf and with his encouragement.
And he had the audacity to refer to these traitorous scum as 'hostages' too.

Are all the people in the photo below, "Nazis"?

Just the Nazi dipshit who hit his chest and extended his right arm twice, who donates money to Alternative für Deutschland (the modern successor to the Nazi party) despite not even being European, and who rants about multiculturalism and promotes Nazi accounts on Twitter.

Click on "CC" on the bottom right for English subtitles:

Keep on whitewashing, @Luman. Like you always do.

Yes, I'm happy so far that War Monger, ignoramus, and criminal supporter Kamala is not our president.

They are also screen grabs from when their hands are waving, paused at the exact time to make it look bad. It's out of context and bad faith.

Anyway, I'd suggest that since you're defending this shit, go ahead and take a video of you making the same gesture and post it on your personal social media pages. Lemme know how the reaction goes.

American citizens voted out Biden-Harris for many reasons. The left-wing lunatics got their asses handed to them on a silver platter by people of common sense. I doubt that Trump-Vance voters care too much about negative opinions of a few non-U.S. citizens.

So let me get this straight, Trump's main reason for axing immigrants is labeling them as criminals who pose a 'threat to our country, but on his very first day in office, he releases roughly 1500 criminals who invaded the capitol building and assaulted police officers back out into the public.

Hypocritical much?

An old friend and I, along w/ a lot of others we know, absolutely refuse to live in a country so stupid that its citizens elect a megalomaniac who is a compulsive liar, a convicted felon, a low brow Neanderthal as president of a country that is no longer America at all. It's a sick joke, and the whole world is laughing at us. I'm moving to Corpus Christi, Tx and hope to be living the life in one of the many expatriate communities in Costa Rico next year unless this loony maniac and his band of brainless criminals get us all killed in a nuclear war.

Four more years of word salad coming our way.

Asked if he would "commit to prioritizing legislation to make child care affordable" and "what specific piece of legislation" he would support during a Q&A session at the Economic Club of New York Thursday, Trump said:
"Well, I would do that, and we're sitting down. You know, I was somebody — we had, Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka, was so impactful on that issue. It's a very important issue.

"But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about — that, because look, child care is child care, couldn't — you know, there's something — you have to have it in this country. You have to have it. But when you talk about those numbers, compared to the kind of numbers that I'm talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they're not used to. But they'll get used to it very quickly. And it's not going to stop them from doing business with us. But they'll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country. Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we're talking about, including child care, that it's going to take care. We're going to have — I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time, coupled with the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country.

"Because I have to stay with child care. I want to stay with child care. But those numbers are small relative to the kind of economic numbers that I'm talking about, including growth, but growth also headed up by what the plan is that I just — that I just told you about. We're going to be taking in trillions of dollars. And as much as child care is talked about as being expensive, it's, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers will be taking in.

"We're going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people. And then we'll worry about the rest of the world. Let's help other people. But we're going to take care of our country first. This is about America first. It's about make America great again. We have to do it because right now, we're a failing nation. So we'll take care of it. Thank you. Very good question. Thank you."

The Republican-led House on Wednesday passed the Laken Riley Act, a strict immigration detention measure named for a 22-year-old Georgia nursing school student who was murdered last year by a Venezuelan man in the U.S. without legal status. The House passed the legislation in a 263 to 156 vote. It now heads to President Trump's desk, where it's expected to be the first piece of legislation he signs in his new term. This bill makes it easier for federal immigration officials to detain and deport those without legal status who are charged with crimes ranging from minor theft to assault on law enforcement. The killer had previously been charged with shoplifting in New York and if he had been deported the murder would not have taken place.

How dare the bishop talk to the elite like that?

Compassion is not what this administration is about!

They should throw her in some of the newly vacant jail cells!

U.S.A, U.S.A, U.S.A!
