I was watching an interview of Ivanka Trump and she brought up that she used to play with Lego. She then went on to say how she puts the different
Legos together.
I thought this was incredibly strange, i.e. that she would add an -s to the word Lego to form a plural.
I work in the language field and have never heard Lego becoming Legos. I thought it just must be a Trump thing... until the interviewer also used Legos.
I then read that in the US this is normal, but to a man who speaks proper English, i.e. English from England, the only real English, it sounds really grating and a truly horrible word.
