Chit Chat and All That...

Today was the first day I felt all that and actually noticed the change (it's been a soul destroying few months but I won't go into it)

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this, Jcb. If it is any help at all, please know that you had company, even though you didn't know it. I found myself in a distressed state this past summer, also.

I hope that you being here today means that you are in a better place. One day at a a time, Jcb. :huganimation:

I think you are the kindest soul ever emmalee.

Love to you.

Fun times Emma eh, I'm ok last few days I'm feeling a bit more positive so that's as a plus. Take it step by step that's all we can do.

Hope you are feeling better as well, I know I repeat myself a lot but it's still crazy what this noise can do you emotionally, physically it hits your core and just eats away at it slowly at times.

Anyway on a more positive note I finally watched Endgame last night haha really enjoyed it, would recommend if you are into those type of films.

Thanks, Jcb. I actually am doing better, thankfully. It is encouraging to know that you are feeling a bit better, too. I agree, dealing with tinnitus can can be emotionally and physically draining. We are strong, though. One foot in front of the other, this is all that is required of us.

I will have to google Endgame and watch the trailer, it is one movie that I am not aware of. I'm happy that you enjoyed it, Jcb. I hope popcorn was involved! :popcorndrink:

It was the last film in a long series of Marvel films, it's not to everybody's taste haha you might be a bit lost if you haven't watched any of the others. No popcorn unfortunately, but had homemade muffins and homemade crisps (chips I think you call them) was really nice.

Happy you are doing better :) always nice to hear that.

Yep, we call them chips! In fact, right at this very moment, I am eating a hefty size bowl of Miss Vickies barbecue chips, and I know, it's not even lunch time yet. It's a bit of a story......

After all of the years that this earth has been enjoying me, I have yet to master the art of the perfect hard boiled egg.:sour:

I boiled four eggs this morning so that I could make an egg salad sandwich for lunch, and for the umpteenth time (more like a thousand) I am left with pretty much 4 egg yolks. They are the expensive eggs, too, the ones that are free run, no hormones, no antibiotics, no nothing? The white part came off in chunks with the shell, :arghh:.

So, I decided to just forget the sandwich and eat the chips, problem solved.:D

Photo, or it didn't happen.:p

Oh no I'd be pissed as well especially if they are "posh" eggs  but those crisps look delicious so that's a plus I suppose....

how do you make eggs laugh?
You tell em a yoke

sorry that was a bad yoke of a joke it was far from egg-cellent, I bow my head in shame..........

I bring the water to a boil and then add the eggs and leave them in for 11 minutes, they always come out perfect for my taste, mostly hard with a little bit of softness in the middle, if that's any help (I put them in ice cold water as soon as the 11 mins is up)

Does putting them in ice cold water help the shells come off easily? Dr. google told me to put the eggs in water and bring them to a boil, then remove them from the burner and let them sit for 3 minutes. The egg itself comes out awesome, at least whats left of it , it's the d#m shell that I can't seem to get off.:dohanimation:

I always boil the water first then put the eggs in, if you like the yolk a bit softer but not runny I'd go for 8-10 mins after the water has been brought up to boil or if you like them a bit harder I'd go for 11 mins.

I crack the egg on the counter and roll it around softly (ear muffs on sometimes if my ears are feeling a wee bit sensitive haha) then slowly peel them, I'd say 9/10 times the shell comes off easily. I think putting the eggs in cold water stops them from further cooking and I suppose helps the egg peel easier.

Okay, Jcb, next time I will give your way a try. Heck I would settle for 3/10 at this point. :thankyousign:

I never want to see a barbecued crisp again, by the way. Way too early and way too many. (n)

Thanks for the laughs! :)

Try it with the water boiled then add the eggs, hopefully they will be tasty and the shell will come off easily haha

That bad eh  drink water and let that ease the sickly feeling from all those delicious BBQ crisps/chips haha

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian members. It's turkey day! Mashed potatoes, stuffing, fresh cranberries, gravy and glazed, baby carrots are on the menu. :)

Oh, and pumkin pie! :woot:

@Jcb (not a crisp in sight, lol!)

Me trying to find my peace

Oh my, talk about being distracted. :bookworm: I actually witnessed a young girl walking straight into a pole, she was also distracted by her phone. Just drive through any University campus and all you see are young adults walking around while looking at their phones. I don't know how they get to where they're going.:dohanimation:

Tinnitus sure can be distracting, itself. Sometimes it is all we can think about or concentrate on.

Let's try not to walk into too many walls, poles or sidewalk vents, Jcb. ;)

That pie look delicious :D

that latte looks even more delicious :hungry:

Hope you've had a great long weekend.

My long weekend was great, thanks Jcb. This will seem like a short week, so it's all good! I definitely ate way more than I should have. Today is the start of my getting back on track, until Christmas, of course. :)
