Chit Chat and All That...

I just need to get myself out of that frame of mind

This is so hard, though. I really do understand, I am the same.:huganimation:

I'm afraid that my louder than baseline day, yesterday, has morphed into yet another very bad spike. This is the third such incident in the past few months.

Tinnitus is a bully.

I keep looking at the bottle of clonazepam that the doctor prescribed for these spikes. He gave me five pills to use as needed. I am very wary of taking one.:dunno:

I know, it's so unpredictable at times, I think that's what I found hard to handle as well.

Have you done anything different? Do you keep a record of what you do when you have a spike to see if there is any pattern?

I wish I could give you advice on the meds but I pretty much stay away from medication. I know they so help some people with their spikes but don't help others, it's a bloody lottery.

I agree, and I am not willing to gamble, either. I know stress is a main, key ingredient for my spikes. This will not last for too long, hopefully.

Stress can cause so much chaos on your body and it spikes mine when I get really stressed or having a panic attack.

Do you do anything to "unwind" I know it's so hard to do that especially with this raging inferno in our heads (I'm yet to unwind hahaha I find it impossible btw)

Have a drink or a few, maybe go for nice long walk. How's the meditation coming on?

Definitely agree with you about stress. I do lots of walking and I do relaxation yoga every single night before bed. It is more of a stretching sequence than yoga, but it works well.

This is tinnitus, unpredictable and cruel.

Tomorrow will be better.

Yes, we need to keep telling ourselves that. I know it can get draining and feels like everything is closing in on us but there is so much I want to do and see, I need to keep telling myself this.

I'm hoping it'll subside for you Emma and wake up feeling tons better.

I'm browsing quotes, this afternoon. Anything to take my mind off of this spike.

Acceptance doesn't mean resignation; it means understanding that something is what it is and that there's got to be a way through it.

In a similar vain (and use an umbrella obviously haha sorry couldn't resist)

Meant to ask but totally forgot, has anybody watched The haunting on house hill on Netflix? I actually really enjoyed it, a few creepy moments wouldn't say it is scary as such but would recommend if that's your thing.

Is it this one, Jcb? If so, I am well aware of it.:nailbiting:
Perfect for this time of the year. :blackalien: I end up covering my eyes and missing most of these shows.

I will fly over and we can bail him out together, even split the cost of the bail money. Heck, I will even bring the pie with me. Of course, we may all end up in jail.
Sounds like a good plan, especially you bringing the pie. If we all end up in jail we will need to at least smuggle in a smartphone and have internet access, as we will still need our morning laugh from @Jcb ... and to message him to come bail us all out...:D

It's good to cry and release that anger, sadness and frustration, now the hard thing is to try and not let the tears keep coming all day everyday. All we can do is take it step by step and hope tomorrow will be a better day.
Wise words jcb, I find this quote helpful on my bad days.
Some days, 24 hours is too much to stay put in, so I take the day hour by hour, moment by moment...

Hello everyone,

How are we all today?

SJ X
I am doing okay, today, thank-you for asking, Sarahjane. Wish I could say that this recent spike was less intense than yesterday, but sadly, this is not the case. I am confident that this will be a temporary set-back.

I hope you are doing well. :huganimation:

Totally agree, 24 hours with this sh@# can drain the life out you, it's a constant battle but I need to keep telling myself I will be ok, once I get over wanting my old life back I think I'll turn a corner, I really do....

Yes, that's the one :D I honestly didn't find it scary, a few loops holes in the plot haha but would recommend.

I'm sorry your spike is still there like a unwanted guest :huganimation:

Let's see what the next day brings, hopefully a good nights sleep, possibly a nice glass of wine and here's thinking the spike will be gone.

Thank-you, Jcb. Tomorrow is another day. Too rainy for a walk, although it almost looks like it might clear....fingers crossed. Exercise and fresh air can do wonders.

Love the quotes, each one is a winner. :huganimation:

Now this comic.....this made me laugh out loud! The fish net stockings comment was the best!

I agree, I'm constantly making myself walk the dog just so I get out, obviously he loves it as well haha

Here's hoping the sky clears for you, if not put your wellingtons boots on and a nice umbrella and face the elements haha

Yes that comment that made me laugh a lot

:popcorndrink: We will see.

I don't find many films or shows scare me much at all, this series was tame I think, a few creepy bits especially when you notice a strange face or shadow in some the scenes haha
