Chit Chat and All That...

@Steph1710, try and relax, start packing your mosquito spray and don't get a cold before you go...

Most importantly have that Rob guy by your side all the time in Italy!

Those Italiano boys and men will not leave you in peace even on the loo :D

Don't be fooled by their young age and boyish nature!

Unfortunately though, it has been my experience, that morons like this rarely suffer the consequences of their actions.
That's the thing. We haven't done enough crap, that's why we don't prosper. That may be a better tinnitus prevention measure than advocating hearing protection; do more bad things and health may abound!

It's funny as that was a saying of my grandfather. Life seems totally backwards, lol.

I don't know… I've done a lot of stupid things and here I suffer.

@Exit, is that you? :sneaky:

Movie recommendation: "Silent wedding". (Netflix).

"In 1953, the exuberant wedding celebrations of a young couple in a small Romanian village are forced to continue in silence after learning festivities are to be cancelled to make way for the dutiful mourning of Stalin's death."

Enjoy! ;)

Sounds light hearted and fun.

I'm going to make this the movie for all my dates, from now on! ˚°*\(^o^)/˚°

Thank you @aura.

Cool profile photo.
Thanks Sis!

It was in one of our exhibition cases. I saw it and started laughing because I've never seen my life so accurately represented before.

In fact, I believe this dead toad, stuck on its back, pretty much represents all of us on here. Just look at how its mouth hangs open in a silent cry for help. Dry and withered, no one cares.

Hopefully they will all be dead by now - though some hang around until November.

Rob isn't going with me because he didn't have his vaccines in time. My dad is coming instead. Though he has been a dick head to me recently, so I'm not really looking forward to it anymore. We don't have a great relationship, and I have no idea why I asked him to come instead of inviting one of my many willing friends… poor shout Steph.

Ha! I wish. I was hoping to eat pizza and partake in an Italian gang bang… "anyone seen Rocco Siffredi around here!?"

Poor dead Toad... maybe some TRT would help it?

F*ck yeah.
Dark humour.
That healthy, happy, glowing toad in the original profile picture... and now this.
Guess not everybody gets a happy ending.

That toad did though. It's in a better place now :))

* Imagine being a frog and having hyperacusis. Good luck in finding a mate!

There are magnificent specimens in funny poses at the Vienna Natural History Museum. Some of them are sitting inside their jars in poses that suggest "I was going to answer the doorbell and look what happened to me".

Sounds good! I am going to look it up!

Do you have recommendations for Romanian literature (other than Cartarescu)?

The toad tried that for 2 years. Didn't help. Though for some reason the audiologist suggests the toad gives it another go. And if that doesn't work this time around, the toad should start learning to accept it and move on.

And that is exactly why the toad is now laying on his back with nothing else to give in life.
