Chit Chat and All That...

So, I am officially 32 today. Oh how the years are racking up fast...

Reflection:

Getting tinnitus April 2020 was absolutely soul destroying. We all remember that dreaded day when our lives were robbed of the one thing we probably didn't think we'd ever lose - our silence.

Fast-forward to now - October 2021. Tinnitus is still there. I do often think of it, but it has not once impacted what I want or choose to do. Getting on a plane was a milestone for me. And guess what? My ears were absolutely fine.

Things are different though. I never imagined having to choose carefully about what seats to use on a plane. I never thought I'd have to travel with ear defenders, three sets of earplugs, a supply of Prednisone, NAC & Magnesium in case of an accident. I never thought I'd get anxiety about passing traffic, or sitting down to eat in a restaurant in case it becomes too noisy.

However, despite my crumbling health and fragile state of mind, I refuse to give up living. I don't often laugh these days, and I am often more reflective, but I still enjoy people's company and those stories of others. I still enjoy travel and food, and I still find I am happiest when exploring new places and experiencing new things. And as I lay here in a terrible hotel in Italy (the photos lied folks!) and I hear the sound of the basilica bells ringing through the morning air, I am still grateful to be alive. <3

Happy Birthday Me. :beeranimation:

Can't you just crack one out over a picture of her instead? :sneaky:
Here you go @Damocles! :D

@aura, am I waking up bad memories...? Or is it a success story? :)

Steph, today is about you.

I wish you a lot of strength during this difficult period.

And even if sometimes things don't go as planned (the photos are ALWAYS lying :p), life is still beautiful!

Enjoy every moment there!

And don't forget to eat lots of ice cream!!

You know what they say... an ice cream a day keeps the tinnitus away!

...Or was it "an ice cream a day keeps the skinny jeans away"?

Nevermind. You got the point!

Quite an amazing post Steph.
Well done - great attitude.

Happy birthday Steph!

I use the same "travel kit".

After hyperacusis I have come to appreciate the quiet of Northern Europe and its great insulation. In Spain windows are useless and noise goes through the walls, insulation is very poor, and soundproofing is nonexistent.

Also we, Spaniards, are known to be soft-spoken people who never yell

No surprise who's the sugar daddy in that bunch! ;)
@Exit was definitely the daddy that weekend.

When we were deciding who would get the four hand massage, it was like drawing straws, except the winner was the guy with the most hair on his chest and the least on his head. (≖ ͜ʖ≖)

Found the cure to tinnitus.

Wife gave me head after 4 years (anniversary) lol, my tinnitus was a 0. Haha.
So it returned after an orgasm...?
What can we draw from this...
A coming Phase 2b study with placebo?

What kind of nurses will participate?
A new one for each candidate or just an old rag with a high powered braun toothbrush with collusion effects...?

Perhaps missus @Wrfortiscue can give us some "insight".

Haha well when your conscious and subconscious are truly 100% occupied, you notice nothing else. The rest of today was low too... I told my wife I need more blowjobs haha.
