That was a very bad decision, whoever made it...

Just when you thought you couldn't hate those hairy b@st@rds any more:

Roosters Have Special Ears So They Don't Crow Themselves To Deaf | Discover Magazine
If you've spent any time around roosters, you know that their "morning" crowing can be… loud. That distinctive cock-a-doodle-doo is piercing: if you happen to be standing near a rooster sounding off, you're hit with a sound wave that's about 100 decibels. That's unpleasantly loud, like the whir of chainsaw. If one cock-a-doodled right in your ear, the sound is even louder—over 140 decibels. Sounds that loud can cause damage in less than a second, and are just shy of shattering your eardrum.
In fact, roosters are so loud that it's surprising they aren't deaf from their own calls. So Belgian researchers looked into it, and found that they have special ears which allow them to crow to their hearts' content without losing their hearing.
The rooster crows they measured were more than loud enough to be potentially damaging—often over 100 decibels, and one animal in particular crowed at over 140 decibels. When the researchers looked at their ears, they saw how the animals are able to be so loud without going deaf: their ears are blocked when they crow. When the animals opened their beaks fully, their external auditory canals completely closed off. So basically, roosters have built in earplugs.

Yeah... my money's on the cock.

I was already wearing mine.
Oh please don't give me anymore material to fantasise over! I am supposed to be writing, but all I've done today is... well... ya know... sorted myself out. :barefoot: I think I'm on about round eight? I have absolutely zero motivation to write. Urgh!! I can't fricken concentrate! It's driving me up the wall!

All it took was this one music video to set me off - and that was at 11:00am.

Beautiful! The view of Rome from Villa Borghese is outstanding, very beautiful view.
It was wonderful. I had been meaning to go for years - it didn't disappoint. And seeing the Damien Hirst exhibition in the gallery too, was a nice surprise.

Where else have you been in Rome? Or what else would you recommend seeing?

The Pantheon Dome is quite impressive, and also the view from St Peter's Basilica.

Last time I went to Rome it was possible to get a gelato on the upstairs terrace of Musei Capitoline, which has a very nice view too.

Gelato is awesome in Italy... I always wondered if this emoticon is a dropped gelato (bugger!) or an ass with a paper hat on top: :asshat:

Now I am thinking of even more interpretations for that emoticon... o_O

I love the emoticons of Tinnitustalk

Rome is a wonderful city, loved it. How was the food? Hope you found a few nice restaurants :)

@Steph1710, I think you need the duo of @Damocles and @Exit in gimp masks just taking turns pleasing you nonstop until you're out of breath from pleasure, and then they start on each other lol.

Who the heck is this!??
Oh yeah, @Damiancunt123. He was the guy that was able to make his tinnitus temporarily disappear by drinking half a pint of "neat" whiskey.

He was using this "treatment" before bed every night.

I told him not to increase his "dosage" and to try to lower it if he could.

Nice guy. Never thanked me.

Hey! Don't you try to sit this one out @Wrfortiscue. You're gonna be there too, with that big swingin' d*ck of yours as your +1

...or should that be your +10? (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)

I'm so fucking depressed and tired tonight...

Got more drilling info from my building...

Exit will be exiled for a very very long time it seems...

Only got 4 weeks to find a girl that will give me a bed... :/

Not gonna happn...

Why do you only have 4 weeks? Why only a girl and not a dude?

Steph, today is about you.

I wish you a lot of strength during this difficult period.

And even if sometimes things don't go as planned (the photos are ALWAYS lying :p), life is still beautiful!

Enjoy every moment there!

And don't forget to eat lots of ice cream!!

You know what they say... an ice cream a day keeps the tinnitus away!

...Or was it "an ice cream a day keeps the skinny jeans away"?

Nevermind. You got the point!
Ahh @aura I loved reading this. You sweetie <3

I definitely ate too much food - especially ice cream. But because I walked so much, I only gained a pound in weight.

Happy birthday Steph!

I use the same "travel kit".

After hyperacusis I have come to appreciate the quiet of Northern Europe and its great insulation. In Spain windows are useless and noise goes through the walls, insulation is very poor, and soundproofing is nonexistent.

Also we, Spaniards, are known to be soft-spoken people who never yell
Just seen this birthday message! Thank you so much @Juan. And yeah, the tinnitus & hyperacusis travel kit - whoop! Aren't we lucky. I'm glad I did have all those things with me because Rome was sure noisy! But I didn't expect any less. Italians love beeping the horn haha. It's a game of risk waking those roads.

And I know you Spaniards are just as bad! :sneaky:

I just got back from Malta and haven't had time to check in. Now that I have, I see my tinnitus daughter @Steph1710 is still looking for that cock in the hen house, the 3 gay bois are still butt chasing and poor @Jazzer is, like myself, in total bewilderment trying to understand it all. But then tinnitus does do strange things to the brain, to much confinement. I'm sure @OnceUponaTime is thinking the same, her thread turned into talking porn.
