Chit Chat and All That...

@aura, wanna tell us about your issues...? Ears plus migraine...?
We were invited to a birthday party/friends reunion this weekend.

My husband, my best friend and another friend of ours celebrated their birthdays together.

I guess the long day at work and the fact that we had to drive for 2 hours was too much for me and my ears.

When we arrived all our friends were already there, having fun, laughing and singing. When I heard the music I panicked and burst into tears. I went to my room and cried myself to sleep.

I didn't even say hello to my friends that night. That's when I took that picture.

My tinnitus was screaming and I felt like I didn't fit in there anymore and that my life as I knew it was over.

I decided with my husband that we should leave home the next day and not to try doing something similar before I get to feel better.

So the next day we packed everything and decided since we were already there to go for a walk before saying hello AND goodbye to our friends.

That was the best thing to do.

That trip really made me feel better after a long, long time.

The weather was sunny, the birds were singing, the butterflies were flying... I almost forgot about all my problems.

After the relaxing trip, we decided to stay there after all. It was a good decision, because very slowly, step by step, i managed to feel better.

I talked, laughed and played games with my friends, we had a Halloween party and I remembered how it feels to be "normal" again.

They understood that I'm having problems and kept the volume low :)

My husband also had a great time and he totally deserved it. All he does is working and listening to me complaining all day long...

Anyway now I'm back home, my tinnitus is bugging me as always but at least I had 2 beautiful days...

I'll just leave some photos that speak for themselves.

* I am the orange mamacita (with earplugs, big wig and hoodie for extra protection :))

My goodness here I was thinking you were in bed all weekend with super tinnitus, migraine, PMS pains AND acné!

And then you were out all weekend trying to relearn partying!

Bad bad bad Bunny!

Very nice story though :) :beeranimation: :thankyousign:

Yea, they ran her bloods and they came back normal. I think the frustration comes from the fact that the next visit wasn't taken seriously even though things had progressed (the lumps were objectively bigger, more exhaustion, weight loss, joint pain, etc).

The Dr today seemed rather concerned as the lymph node in her groin is particularly large. I'm hoping it's something like rheumatoid arthritis or anything else that isn't sinister.

She's 31.
Life is hell for everyone. We lost a brother to stage 4 liver cancer last week. Then a neighbour up the road passed, 32 years young, from the fucking COVID-19 and heart attack. Now I see it here amongst our friends on Tinnitus Talk.

Praying for you and your wife.

Pickled cabbage with sausages.

A few years back the wife and myself went to Romania to visit her brother who owned two pubs in Bucharest. This is the brother we lost a week back. Anyway he fixed dinner one evening and made pickled cabbage and sausage. That was an incredible dinner, the sausage just brought out all the flavours. So @aura if you're cooking, send some our way.

Sounds like he had a good life...?

Did he live in Romania most of his life? Is your wife Romanian, like @aura? :)

Went to a fright night place last night. It was awesome! Had five different haunts to go and explore. Circus of Horrors was my favourite. Of course I wore my best ear plugs and over ear protection inside the different places. It was loud - chainsaws, banging on walls, music etc, but my ear protect was good, I couldn't hear much at all.

Still, I get anxious about participating in events these days. So glad I went though.

Here is a photo my friend took:

So, @ajc asked me;
I love a good kebab but we have not many here. Please post pictures of your kebab meals in future so I can enjoy.
It's actually kinda funny, because Sweden is literally filled with pizza and kebab restaurants. There's more than 5 restaurants in town within a 2 km proximity.

Now the thing is, it kinda hurts every time a bank transfer doesn't go into my house savings. But sometimes I just say; 'screw it', and order some kebab, because I don't feel like getting another spike from frying some freaking Pyttipanna.

So here's some kebab for y'all;

I usually prefer kebab with fries, but since the hyperacusis is bad, and spiking even worse, I stick to pizzas which aren't as crunchy. This is my favorite; just plain cheese, ham and kebab, no healthy green shit.

Wishing y'all as great weekend as you can,
Stacken

Looks lovely with garlic dressing and a gallon of coke to flush it down :)

Wish you as good as can be weekend too. It's Halloween, more noise than usual but miss Stephens and @aura will probably give us something to look at
