Any tips and tricks on how to use them and not end up with a mouth like Dracula's dinner?

Yeah... interdental brushes. I bought the expensive ones until realising no brand will last more than 7 to 10 days per piece. So buy whatever because they do not last. Just find the right size.

You just need to find the interdental brush size that fits between your teeth.

Yesterday, zapping around, I ended up watching the "Roman J Israel" movie. The main character has some condition I did not identify at the beginning. After Googling, it seems to be Aspergers, and apparently it comprises hearing alterations too. The movie sound effects were cool to watch, and I think they accurately describe what happens when fleeting tinnitus appears, or sound is distorted or "warps" after our hearing "balances"... that happens to me sometimes.

It's good that hearing issues are portrayed in cinema. At least it will give the general public awareness about it.

@Damocles, @Strawberryblonde, @UKBloke, any of you watching the King's coronation? Curiosity got the better of me.
Watched it under duress. Wasn't that interested in it to be honest but then they did the anointing bit, which I had no idea was part of the ceremony, and found it fascinating. Did you catch that bit? Weird to see Charles dressed in a baggy shirt hanging over this trousers.

"Under duress" lol. No, I missed that. Couldn't watch the whole thing.

I did not know it happened already haha... I must live in another world. Was it expensive?

How much did Charles shell out for his own coronation?

I suppose, technically, I watched the whole thing.

Had it (the before, during and after) on in front of me all day while I was putting together a research log for my extended project.

I can't recall much (totally missed the anointment thing @UKBloke mentioned), as I was staring at my laptop most of the time, but I did note the boring and ridiculous performances by Bryn Terfel and The Ascension Choir.

Made me wonder why these ▼ guys weren't on the playlist.

Cost aside, you have to wonder about the carbon-footprint Charles and his ilk are increasingly fond of reminding us plebs about. Take the anointing oil for example. Apparently it was pressed from olives actually grown on the Mount of Olives before being consecrated and (assumingly) transported to the UK by plane. If God wants to save the planet too, surely he'd have been OK with a dab of Extra-Virgin from the local Lidl?

Hahahahaha I did not know all those tasty details

Take into account that olive oil already costs like 5 euros in Spain for 1l of Extra Virgin "on sale", discounted. That amount is crazy for us, as before (like a year ago) the price was 3 euros but not for the store brand... for a branded oil of top quality

Our Spanish government keeps lying about inflation and cooking data when olive oil has multiplied its price, and all the groceries for that matter. 1 kg of tomatoes costs now around 2,7 to 3+ euros. Tomato producers used to just throw away the product they now sell for 2,7 euros / kg... it used to sell for under 1 euro per kg.

I forgot to say that the Spanish president is addicted to fly in a private jet paid by all the taxpayers.

Pedro Sánchez, the clown we have as president, also talks about the ecological BS but he goes in private plane even to take a pee... literally, the chap routinely flies in a private helicopter to cover the 19 km between Madrid and the airport where he boards the Falcon 900 he uses pretty much every other day:

For some reason when I see those sunglasses together with the appropriation of public goods (private planes, the constant use of public residences - palaces - to go on vacation etc), Muammar El Gadaffi comes to my mind...

Can't Pedro Sánchez just pay for his own vacation?

That's me on a daily basis. I carry a pair of hearing protectors around with me and slip them on once a noise-attack erupts (usually too late). My experience wit high quality ANC headphones is that they seem to make my tinnitus spike. Nice to know that there are others out there who have the same problem.

@UKBloke, do you sleep ok with tinnitus? Regarding management, I find even a walk outside is ruined by the severity of it. Do you or have you tried any medication to help cope with it?

Nick

"Touch-wood" I've always been able to sleep with tinnitus but I use high-pitch, low volume masking every night. Basically me and Mrs. UKB have to sleep in separate bedrooms now.

The severity of my tinnitus has ruined walks in the countryside from time to time. The hyperacusis, where sound can make my ears feel sensitive in the same way ice might make a tooth feel sensitive, is particularly difficult to deal with on a bad day. But it does fluctuate, so I can have good days. In fact I've experienced so many fluctuations that it's getting easier to tell myself on double-bad days that the good days will come again (in the past, every bad day(s) felt psychologically like it would never get better again.

I've never taken medication for it. A couple of beers and/or glass of wine just takes the edge off things for me enough that I can get through to bedtime. I tend to get a reset in the mornings, although if it's going to be a bad day, I usually know the moment I open my eyes. I just try and treat every day in isolation. Literally, one day at a time.

Lol I beg your pardon?
I'm seeing a lot of bro bonding between you two especially in the research section of this forum.

Just making observations and deductions here. That's all

Or maybe I'm the only one who sees this...

Damn, I used to be fun.

What the hell happened to me? :banghead:
69... enjoy it while it lasts!

Next stop: 96. Aka friend zone :)

Thanks @tpj, now I can't read a post rated useful - in any thread- without imagining someone's fapped to it...

I'll go to hell for laughing at this Amitriptyline joke.

Thanks a lot, @Damocles :)

Ahhhh it's feeling like the good old days again. Nice bunch of girls and a bit of chit chat. All we need now is for @Juan to drop by and tell us the price of unleaded petrol.
