Thanks emmalee for your support, yourself and jcb have been great, in fact so many people have reached out to me on TT it is very humbling.
We all have our differences and might disagree on many things, but in the end we all have common ground whether we like it or not "tinnitus".
I am doing ok, I have great support around me, my husband has been my rock and my family are also very supportive.
I have three sons, we are like the family everybody loves Raymond as we all live in the same street LOL.
I just hope I am not seen as interfering as Maree though

I love macaws. Always thought that they were large enough to give them a proper hug, haha. I completely agree on the affectionate part; somewhat of a resemblance with dogs in terms of the amount of attention they need. The sounds they produce can be ear deafening, though...
I think this baby macaw is adorable...

There was no right answer to that, so I'm choosing my right to be silent for once
Ok folks, please take a moment out of your day to listen to this beautiful uplifting song. I heard it weeks ago and I think this is the perfect home for it.
I reckon once you've finished listening to it you'll be at least 10% happier than you were before!
You have to listen to the whole song or it doesn't count!
There is even some free masking thrown in at the beginning and end just for good measure.

Like this song Ed, can't stand Liam though but I do appreciate his music and writing.
This is Noel mate. I used to be a huge oasis fan in my teens but I moved on to other stuff and kinda looked down on them for a long time. I've kinda come full circle now and enjoy listening to some of their better stuff. Mostly the B-sides.
When you listen to this just forget who it is singing it - if you can't stand him - and listen to song.
Definitely, they need a lot of attention and affection especially if they are not with a partner. They resemble dogs in terms of affection, it's crazy. Lucien which is his name ha will waddle over to you and peck your shoe until you pick him up and then rest on your chest while you stroke him like a big baby.
The noises can be deafening can't lie haha especially if they get excited, angry or listening to music.
I've always wanted a owl, think they are my favourite birds but they are hard work and don't think it's fair to keep as a pet especially if you have dogs, cats small children.

Just love the colours of them, pictures are not my bird though ha
I will not die peacefully till I have petted an owl.
Something like this?
Secretly I've always wanted an owl as well (especially after watching Harry Potter as a kid), but indeed, unlike macaws, they're nocturnal predators. Not really 'pet material'. I have seen a lot of videos of people who have owls at home on YouTube though, but I think they're mostly rescued animals (& not fit to go into the wild perhaps?). Kinda jealous...

Now I want to pet an owl. I see why you and @Jcb love them.
So regal looking, and so many different breeds and can look completely different in the colour and shape of the eyes, the beaks, colouring etc love the little buggers haha
Sounds like fun, Eh?
Gorgeous photos of gorgeous owls, Jcb. I understand why you love "the little buggers"....ha, ha, I love this saying, so British!
"Perhaps we should all get together for a few pints and a bowl of crisps and look at photos of the little buggers!"
Sounds like fun, Eh?
@Jcb
Usually used to prompt a person to respond to what was said or to indicate a lack of understanding." This definition is relatively close to being correct. Canadians may say "eh" to differentiate themselves from Americans. You know when you hear the word that the person is a friendly Canadian.
Amazing creatures. Kind of mysterious too. A few years ago, just before I got my bird, I actually inquired about owls at a bird breeder. He told me the same thing; it's legal here in The Netherlands, but it's a full time job and requires a lot of space. The owl obsession sounds familiar btw, my house is filled with owl paintings/artwork. Even bought this really expensive crystal owl figurine on a holiday in Turkey. No regrets.Yes, I love the colour of the Hyacinth macaws, that's how Lucien would snuggle haha it's amazing how loving they can be, those beaks are sharp though.
Look at that owl, so cute man. They are, I think here in the UK it's legal to have an owl (could be wrong though) but the more I've read about them the more I think it's best not have one as a pet unless you have the space, time and knowledge even though I would love one I just think some animals should not be pets. Ha that's one thing I want to do as well, I think most kids wanted an owl after the Harry Potter series came out.
I've watched countless vids about owls, weirdly obsessed about them, says a lot about my personality haha
I think you know me all too well now "eh" emmalee, Like you said everyone is different and I value diversity, it would be pretty boring if we were all the same. I try and respect everyone's point of view.Interfering? You? Not a chance. It is good to hear that you have loving support, Star. This goes a long way when we are dealing with difficult times.
I agree, we are all brought together here due to tinnitus, regardless of the degree of severity. I liken it to a very large family, each with individual, unique personalities. Not everyone is going to see eye to eye all of the time. There just needs to be respect and understanding for the various points of view.
Talk for yourself jcb because I also love owls, and I have numerous figurines of them too around the house and there is nothing wrong with my personalityYes, I love the colour of the Hyacinth macaws, that's how Lucien would snuggle haha it's amazing how loving they can be, those beaks are sharp though.

So far I have not removed anybody from my xmas list, but then again if anybody is naughty they might get a strike, but I usually give them three strikes before your out
We have a shop selling replica wands for $90 aussie dollars, not cheap. I want it to perform real magic for that price
I'm glad there are others who share my love for owls Too bad about your partner hating them!I love the pics, so cute. I've got a lovely water painted canvas one of a snowy owl , all white with slashes of neon colours around it. I've got a few glass owls as well but they weren't particularly expensive but they aren't allowed anywhere expect on the book shelf as my partner hates them. We also had this metal structure of a owl and a few other animals in the garden but they got absolutely ruined by weather and when we tried to move them they more or less fell apart.
Money well spent mate, you have good taste this I can't deny
How's the H mate?

Harry Potter is so popular here again, my 5 year old granddaughter is mad on it, she also has loved owls since she was a very small child. Has owls everywhere in her bedroom. At least this xmas I have a theme I can work on for her presents, anything to do with Harry potter, though this usually means double to triple the price for everything.

No, I don't, Jcb. Should I?
