I'm really sorry about you breaking your finger! I hope that it doesn't still hurt too much.

I knew that @Jcb , and @Labyrinthine had said they were taking a break from the forum. That's why I didn't mention them. Although, now that the Covid-19 situation is so bad in Europe, I am concerned about them as well.

I was posting a lot more frequently than usual back in February because I was involved with that fundraiser during Tinnitus Week. I certainly had quite a few laughs from some of the posts in this thread. Maybe we'll all get back to that again some day.

That said, It's good to know that you, @Star64, @Shera and @aot are all well. Please be extra careful, everyone! As you know, this virus is spreading like wildfire across the globe. I hope that all of us and our families get through this pandemic crisis, OK.

I'm also concerned because of what you mentioned. Additionally, I can't start a conversation with Her, either. I know that I had no problem sending Emma PM's in the past.

Yes, along with clearing her profile, she has disabled profile comments and PMs.

Hey, Jim. Glad to know you are doing ok. My finger still hurts a bit and so does my elbow but it is bearable.

This corona virus situation can get people extremely anxious and stressed which is not good for tinnitus. I am limiting the amount of news I watch because it can be stressful.

I have been a prepper since 2010, so I did not panic when this whole thing exploded. I had my essentials ready.
Sadly, a lot of people were unprepared.

For the most, we are staying home.

@Star64 It has been crazy trying to go shopping. At least out here in the country it's a bit calmer. My sister is yet again trying to get toilet paper down were she's at in the big city. They're calling the lines the "new Disneyland". Which makes me realize I've probably not missed out on Disneyland.

So now that we're all social distancing and quarantining. I'm determined to avoid fastfood. My instapot is now my new best friend. Been cooking with it everyday! I was in a rush today and ended up up popping some boneless chicken thighs, potatoes, and green beans in. Done in 30 min. And it was sooooo good. Not sure if I can ever go back to normal bake potatoes again. I pulled up some yams from the winter garden and plan to try something out with them in the instapot.

Can you post a picture of your instapot, Shera?? What seasoning did you added?

I really hope @emmalee is ok, it does sound troubling that all the above has occurred.

Emmalee was always so caring in her posts to others, including myself. Emmalee also had a great sense of humor and her last post did not give any reason for concern. I am also worried because I doubt she would just up and leave Tinnitus Talk without saying goodbye.

I really do hope she is ok, and if she did decide to just leave Tinnitus Talk that she knows she will be sadly missed.

The shopping situation here is terrible, Toilet paper is rare to see these days on the shelf but also food in general is sparse. People have been panic buying for weeks which has left a shortage of lots of items.

We are on limits for lots of items now. Hopefully I have nearly all the ingredients to make your brownie recipe, I plan to do that with my grandchildren as a school shutdown has now occurred.

Glad your area is more calmer shera, the country area would definitely be more peaceful. I hope you and your family stay safe throughout this difficult time, along with everybody else here on Tinnitus Talk.

Yeah, I received an email from my older sister yesterday. She said that she ran out of toilet paper 10 days ago and has been unable to find any in the stores. So, she began using clothes dryer sheets. Then she went on to say:

"It's the first time in years that my buns have been wrinkle-free with no static cling!"...

So, there's a bunch of people who live in my house: My two sisters, my twin nephews,
my mother, my father, and myself. Lots of yelling, lots of screaming (Not the best situation for someone trying to avoid noise, but I make it work.)

I wake up early to catch my doctor's appointment, and then I see a shit ton of dirty clothes in the living room!

Our washer has been broken for the past five days, and so my parents decided that they, without a car mind you, are gonna drag the dirty clothes of entire household the nearest laundromat. It's an absurd amount of clothes.

I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't for:

My father being his seventies, and can barely keep his eyes open. (Seriously, dude is like Snorlax.)

My mother's chronic back pain is so severe that on most days she's housebound.

One sister is at work (and, like me, was unaware of this last minute plan.) And the other has to stay home and watch the two kids. (Who both scream and scream and scream and scream day and night )

Oh, and this small detail: WE HAVE A NEW WASHER COMING TOMORROW!

So, yeah. No way in hell I was going to let my mother strain herself that way, so I had to cancel my appointment last minute to help them out.

I could've been reading my book in a doctor's waiting room, but instead I'm dealing with this nonsense.

I used my secret weapon seasoning on the pork roast and chicken:

Except I put basil on the chicken and my green beans. Of course salt. Salt everything!!!!!!

I'm gonna put another roast in the Instapot. If you want I can take some pics and see about uploading. I'm updating some computers for work so my internet is super slow.

@aot I feel you man. I feel you. I live with my parents to help take care of them. It always seems like I"m canceling my stuff to help them out when they get ridiculous ideas and they just can't wait. Despite common sense. Like the pile of stuff they leave on the ground around them. Can't hold on to the trash until you get up and go by a trash, but then my mom will blow her back trying to lift a door instead of waiting for the men I got to come to help me in like an hour. No really. She blew her back. She had surgery and couldn't behave with common sense. She almost made a year.

If you do go to the laundromat mat enjoy your book there!
