Nice! Assume it is a pellet grill?! I have a Kamado Joe Big Joe and a 22 Weber Smokey Mountain myself. My family does! When I say my family, I mean mostly my husband.
He's smoked a lot of fun stuff on the Traeger grill. We smoke everything... including our Thanksgiving turkeys and our Easter Ham.
Where I'm from BBQ is pork, pulled or chopped, and soaked in a vinegar or vinegar/ketchup based sauce!A passion of mine is cooking and recently I have been getting into some good old southern BBQ. I am mainly talking about smoking meats low and slow, but I also enjoy regular grilling too.
Anyone else out there like to smoke meat or BBQ?
Yes! We actually stored our regular grill away, ha.Nice! Assume it is a pellet grill?
The ham is totally worth the wait, one year my husband and I had a ham cook-off (I cooked one via the oven and he smoked one and let all of our guests choose their favorite), naturally everyone chose the smoked ham.I wanted to smoke the turkey/ham this year for the holidays, but ran out of time.
Prime rib and pork. Whats yours? What is your favorite thing to smoke?
Extremely quiet. Quiet enough that I never notice it, anyway. Also how loud is the Traeger?
Funny you say that. A lot of southern say that pork BBQ is supposed to taste good enough without BBQ sauce. I agree, but adding BBQ sauce imo adds more flavors on top of the pork flavor.Where I'm from BBQ is pork, pulled or chopped, and soaked in a vinegar or vinegar/ketchup based sauce!
I love smoked ham! Yeah next year I'll make sure I have enough time to do a smoke honey ham!The ham is totally worth the wait, one year my husband and I had a ham cook-off (I cooked one via the oven and he smoked one and let all of our guests choose their favorite), naturally everyone chose the smoked ham.

How loud is yours? Ours is a few years old, and we are in the market for a new one.
Completely random, but we still use it all winter long, and it gets as low as -40 degrees where I live.
Who are these heretics!?! Southerners is a loose term, we take our BBQ very seriously where I'm from (but then again everyone says that in each state). Also, Florida is loosely considered southern so not sure if their opinions count on BBQ haha. You might enjoy this video...Funny you say that. I like both sauced and plain pulled pork shoulder. I have had it a couple of times with a plain vinegar sauce. You got any good recipes for a vinegar sauce?
I would love to make that, but my girlfriend isn't a fan of seafood.Smoked Salmon using apple wood marinating using brown sugar and sea salt.
Hi neighbor!Where I'm from BBQ is pork, pulled or chopped, and soaked in a vinegar or vinegar/ketchup based sauce!
I use a large round barrel type of BBQ smoker combination. We also do smoked ribs but the Mrs Isn't too fond of pork ribs, it's an Irish thing I presume.I would love to make that, but my girlfriend isn't a fan of seafood.
Mouth watering just thinking about this.
What kind of pit you cooking on @Elmer B Fuddled?

Was the pit home made? Is it an offset or is it a barrel cooker like a bullet?I use a large round barrel type of BBQ smoker combination. We also do smoked ribs but the Mrs Isn't too fond of pork ribs, it's an Irish thing I presume.
