.. we come here and talk about tinnitus only, but there's so much more we can talk about to distract us...get to know each other..
Me too! lol... I mean I like to know what's going on but I'm not going to dwell on it and keep beating a dead horse! lol..So many seem only interested in research news, which I find pretty boring.
I know!If there is anything approaching a treatment or a cure it will be on the national news channels.
We dont wan't to do that....Now you can't shut me up - Hahaha.
I can't help it - I'm one of life's natterers.
I hang out on another forum where there's much more positive vibe and fun...that compensates...lol (Its not a tinnitus forum) But I like this community very much and I try to bring a spark to it! If I can!I have of course noticed that the lighter distracting threads draw less traffic, but I plod on - loving art, poetry and prose.
Me too John.Absolutely. I have an amazing wife.
I think Jazzer for some of us science, research, or discussing facts is a bit like what art and drawing is to others. For me anyway. Even when I realised how bad much of the scientific literature is. Science is all we have. It isn't wise to hang your hopes on scientific advancement with something like tinnitus, as medicine has a very poor record for advancing treatments with anything neurological. But I still want to know the whys and wherefores of tinnitus, like I do with everything in life. Why does it bother some more than others at the same MML? What medicines can precipitate the condition? What's the rate of spontaneous remission? Why is it so often unilateral? It's a sort of distraction from the noise or channeling of the frustration round the condition for me, some, in the way that other things are for you.So many seem only interested in research news, which I find pretty boring.

We won't need to scour the scientific papers for it.
Having grown up in an isolating family, with such a desperately sad sick mother, I became very schizoid, and needed some years of therapy to get myself up and running.

kindness isn't just a virtue, it is THE virtue? So true.

I love cats. My nick means in my language "Domestic Cat" in a female, grammatically unused variety.

Lions are strong but also soft and cuddly... potentially.

Wishing everybody a quieter and good day.

There is a book, and a BBC miniseries from awhile back that were much better. The movie was awful.
