I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

With FX-322, should be able to rinse and repeat, but that is a ridiculous risk. Your days of blasting headphones are over if you know what is good for you.
Yeah I wasn't serious about blasting my ears, I was more or less referring to headphone usage within normal volume range. So let's say FX-322 works and can be used more than once. I don't see any reason why someone wouldn't be able to use headphones unless there are other things at play like the drug not being as effective as the first time or side effects and stuff like that.

I'm in the same boat. I can hear a super low faint hiss today in my right ear - RIP SUCCESS STORY.

The sound is audible only after plugging both my ears for a while in a dead silent room. I don't even know if I had that before my ringing tinnitus.
I think at this point you just need to stop plugging your ears and listening for it. Your brain will forget about the barely audible hiss and you will move on. Everyone if they sit long enough in a quiet room and plug their ears and think about tinnitus will likely hear something, especially if they've experienced tinnitus before. Your brain will recreate the noise.

I'm happy this works for you, but regardless I don't think it will 100% get rid of your tinnitus. Like he said, most people that he has cured are let with a slight hiss.
Most of the day so far today I have had zero tinnitus. It keeps popping up and squeaking at me several times every hour. I feel so close to being healed. I can suppress it entirely, just not permanently.

Perhaps you could experiment a bit eventually with using the mix every other day, or something? Might give your brain a chance to stabilize.

Don't listen to the nay sayers trying to explain away your results, do not skip a night or tinnitus will try to reform!!

Night 6. Still not cured. Want cure. Tinnitus status right now, a very very faint hiss in my left ear. I'm sure many people here would look at my tinnitus level and laugh and consider me a whiny baby. I am really amazed with the cessation of the noise sensitivity in my right ear. I attribute that 99.999% to this.
We have 5 reports now of improvements in hyperacusis also. It seems to help several conditions.

What you described isn't a cure and he hasn't cured anything, he's just posted anecdotes mixed in with schizophrenic looking information about EMFs and HAARP and shit.

hth.

When I say we, I am referring to me and the other moderators in the 2200 member Facebook test group.

@R. David Case

Has anyone mentioned this helping reactive tinnitus as well?

And by reactive I don't mean the "winding up kind of tinnitus" but tinnitus sounds that only present themselves when you hear external sounds and then immediately die back down when the source of sound is turned off.

Honestly, if this helps someone, which it clearly has helped some people, it's free and I do not see the harm in it. Personally, I think this probably works just as well as the $5,000 Levo System my audiologist was trying to sell me.

That is the purpose of my 2200 member test group, to find out how many types of tinnitus this therapy helps. MANY of the EXPERTS recommended that people with hyperacusis not try Tinnitus Mix, now we are finding it DOES help hyperacusis. So we will find out if it helps reactive tinnitus. The main problem is many are undiagnosed so when they use Tinnitus Mix and it knocks out their tinnitus we can't mark a category, just that it worked.

Here is what a neuroscientist said about Tinnitus Mix:

Woah, easy there: not any naysaying here, just giving a suggestion. I seem to recall you mentioning earlier that someone needs to use the Tinnitus Mix three weeks, and that afterwards three to four nights a week should be sufficient.

Maybe my memory doesn't serve me well: do you have to keep using this nightly for the rest of your life? If not, then how is my suggestion any different?

Maybe my hearing distortion really is off the charts and I'm not hearing this right but got the headphones and just put on the Tinnitus Mix and don't find this jarring at all. Not even a little.

@R. David Case did you have to turn pots or do anything to make your circuit change so much or did you just wire it up, put the voltage on and let it run?
Respectfully, what is this regarding - is this something that silences loud tinnitus?

Sorry, I went to the first post and see it is a download...................I will try it, maybe it will work. Thank-you and God Bless.

@pewpew so Tinnitus Mix knocked out your tinnitus and you just have a slight hiss? That's great!!
Yeah, I just found out that listening to it once or twice during the day gets rid of my hiss for the whole day as well. There is a weird sensation in my ears when I listen to it during the day, best way I can describe it is like pressure lifting from my ears.

I gave the Koss headphones a try by the way but I can't fall asleep with them so I'm just gonna keep using speakers.

I'm going to take a 2 week break from here because I feel whatever is left of my tinnitus is my imagination. Take care guys, wish you all the best.

Morning after the 5th night of listening to Tinnitus Mix. Woke up after 4 hours or so of listening in sleep. Then I listened to it while awake. I then tried to sleep with the headphones on but only could nod out a little. I wanted to play external noise of crickets to help lull me back to sleep. Is it ok to use external noise in that kind of situation? I haven't noticed any lessening of my tinnitus and am hoping that will happen in the coming weeks. It's been a challenge to get a full night's sleep with headphones on. I hope that these 4-6 hour sleep sessions will make a difference.

That is correct, but the user should not stop in the middle of the 3 weeks or tinnitus will try to reform!!

Yes Tinnitus Mix breaks the feedback loop in the tinnitus structure in about 50 % of those that FOLLOW the instructions.

You play it all night every night for three weeks using Koss KTX-PRO1 headphones on low volume. Then back off to once or twice a week.

Yes, you can hear me turning the variable resistors and even tapping on the device, I did not realize it at the time but one of the pots was burnt, this burn carbon acted like a thermal transducer. This is why the neuroscientist said my sound has Brownian characteristics of "RANDOM WALKING NOISE" but don't misunderstand me, Tinnitus Mix is not brown noise, it is a mix of many different waveforms and frequencies. It is NOT SIMPLE broadband white noise.

That's great, you should have no problem with tolerating it, that's something else I have noticed, everyone is so different, some say it's like from the Saw series and others say it sounds fine. But all report after a week the sounds turn into soothing sounds and help put you in deeper longer higher quality sleep.

I have improved Tinnitus Mix 17 times because of feedback from users, hopefully with input from very intelligent people on Tinnitus Talk we can improve it further.
