I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

Day 1:

Woke up in the middle of the night to much louder tinnitus and weirdly much worse visual snow. I shut off the Tinnitus Mix and went back to sleep. When i woke up, my crickets tinnitus tone was gone but the much more distressing high pitched tone had spiked up louder and is still louder :(.

Not sure i should stick with this or not.

Respectfully, what is this regarding - is this something that silences loud tinnitus?

Sorry, I went to the first post and see it is a download...................I will try it, maybe it will work. Thank-you and God Bless.
It is alleged to make tinnitus quieter. I just finished night 7. It seems to really help my noise sensitivity but so far it hasn't "knocked out" my tinnitus.

Hi all, I've been following this tread for a couple of weeks now and I've even downloaded Tinnitus Mix. I'm trying to muster up the courage to give this a shot but still a bit in the paranoid stage, lol. I want to thank @JohnAdams and @pewpew for sharing your experience with this. And of course a huge thanks to @R. David Case for creating Tinnitus Mix, sharing it and offering input free of charge.

Night 2... found out my MP3 player Peters out after 5 hours... which is all I really slept anyway. I listen to this about 6 hours a day in the daytime as well. I haven't found any change, but will keep trying.
Sleeping with Koss headphones is the hardest part!

If we bought musicians in-ear monitors with the same or better frequency response... would that be no good, or just slower progress? (I remember you saying there was something special about the EMF or something the Koss happened to put out. Or maybe you just want to keep all the variables the same for data purposes?)

Either way, Tinnitus Mix is more entertaining to listen to than constant static or white noise, plus the biggest benefit IMO... I feel like I'm actually doing "something" that may help... the handfuls of supplements everyday don't really give the same sense of accomplishment!

Yes Tinnitus Mix breaks the feedback loop in the tinnitus structure in about 50 % of those that FOLLOW the instructions.

You play it all night every night for three weeks using Koss KTX-PRO1 headphones on low volume. Then back off to once or twice a week.
Thank you for responding. Is it imperative to use Koss KTX-PRO1 or can I just use what I have - Sony Headphones? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the response. I too had some weirder, more of a high pitched shriek after i night of listening, I don't know if I should continue - thoughts?

@R. David Case
Hi. Are you planning to develop new methods for tinnitus, or maybe create something similar to bi-modal stimulation devices? There are many studies and information available, about Dr. Shore's device, and I am sure it wouldn't be a hard thing for you, to create a device which creates electrical and sound stimulation using the same timings as Susan Shore's device.

I am still a little bit scared to continue using your Tinnitus Mix, for the moment, but I believe in your innovation.

Well, you can always wait for me to finish the 30 days. I just did night 8, and I also somehow got 8 hours of sleep with it. I don't see this causing a permanent spike.

We are finding that the Koss KTX-PRO1 headphones are the best, and some headphones will not work.

Well I am having much success with my Tinnitus Mix but am open to new ideas on how to improve it.

If you can move the headphones away from your ears about 2 inches and try Tinnitus Mix again during the day about 2 hours I think it will have a difference, if you play it too loud or use wrong headphones it could cause TEMPORARY spike. In 18 years no one has had any bad side effects and just a few have had temporary spike.

I played it quietly and used the recommended headphones. Any ideas as to why my tinnitus spiked?

We should also keep in mind that the cause of tinnitus probably influences the effectiveness of the Tinnitus Mix.

@R. David Case
Do you happen to have any data on this from the people who tried it?
Yes exactly, when I invented this I had never heard of tinnitus, I have learned a lot about it through this experience. There are many kinds of tinnitus and EVERY one is different in how they respond to Tinnitus Mix. We know this works best on sound induced tinnitus and sudden unexplained tinnitus, and many who are undiagnosed. We are now finding it stops MANY conditions such as tinnitus from toxicity from drugs, also stops clicking sounds heard by many. It also gives relief from hyperacusis. As time goes by we will no more and more from the data in the test group.

Well you don't have the recommended Koss headphones do you? As the Tinnitus Mix attacks the tinnitus it will swing wildly to higher or lower pitch, that is actually a good sign. But make sure it's on low volume and get the Koss!!

I wish we could find some kind of small earpiece that worked as well as the Koss, also any device that emits sound and that closes off the ear canal like a cork can be problematic or risky that close to the eardrum, open headphones can't compress the eardrum and is safer. There is a Koss model that clips on ear with the same titanium drivers, Koss KSC-75.

@R. David Case, have you heard of anyone getting louder tinnitus with this? Will it settle down? Should I stop?
Yes some get changes in frequency that may seem louder, I would lower volume or move headphones away from ear about 2 inches. If you are not using the Koss headphones that could be the problem.

Once again, look how much attention Case is giving us. He answers our questions pretty fast and he isn't selling anything. He truly believes in this. My tinnitus today is again, much much lower, and isn't even steady, it just comes and goes a few seconds here and there. I must say again that my noise sensitivity in my right ear is totally gone and I think it is because of this.

He also isn't pushing psycho therapy on us or trying to convince us that our tinnitus distress is a irrational fear. Case is actually trying to help us. He is one of the good guys here.

You are welcome, we were all put here to help each other.

Thanks so much for the kind words, it is a fresh relief from some of the other comments at the beginning of this thread! Yes I try to help as many as possible because I remember the 3 years of torture that I went through, I could not even sit in a chair, all I could do is pace back and forth holding my ears wondering how am I going to stop this super loud shrieking in both ears.

After the first 4 weeks with ZERO sleep I started losing jobs, losing friends, and even family could not understand what I was going through. I lost everything.

Then I invented Tinnitus Mix and the story has become a wonderful success, I have everything back X1000, and have helped hundreds around the world. They send me letters saying that I have saved their lives! I know most of you would do the same thing to help others if given the chance.

This works for about 50% of those that follow instructions, we are thinking that those that report spikes may have reactive tinnitus. Do you know if you have reactive tinnitus?
I had reactive tinnitus the first few months but it completely resolved (the reactive part). I haven't had any reactivity for 6+ months.

Will this spike resolve? Would you advise continuing at an even lower volume?

No, I will check that out. But one thing is I need feedback from users and just putting it out there does not help my research without feedback from users like in the test group, in other words we would have not known it helps hyperacusis without posts about their results.
I hope the myNoise thing works. That sound machine allows different parts of the noise to be muted or increased. I think it would be beneficial for the research as well to see what parts of the sound are more / less useful. Your sound has truly helped a lot of people I see. However, there might be improved or individual versions of the sound that would make it even better.

Personally, I have not tried your sound yet. I still try get results with ACRN. Quite frankly your sound is well hellish if I put it mildly. However, many medicines do taste bad and many medical operations have a long and painful recovery times. So, I guess this is all pretty normal.

Keep up the good work!

My tinnitus today is again, much much lower
Not that long ago you were aggressively evangelizing for the Korean plasma injections using similar language.

I think you are just the type who tends to latch onto flavor of the month, then realize it doesn't work, then find something else, lather rinse repeat.
