Same here.I will probably be able to tell right away if I will be able to do it because certain sounds almost mask my tinnitus while other sounds give me reactive tinnitus.

The sound changes A LOT throughout the file, so there's not really an adequate sample that would do it justice.@R. David Case Also can you give me a sample of the sound?
Yes you can ALSO listen during the day, but if you don't use at night it will take longer to start working. It works faster if played all night wile sleeping.@R. David Case can you just play and wear the headphones during the day?? Also can you give me a sample of the sound? Yes, Tinnitus Mix is very chaotic and that's what breaks up the tinnitus, smooth sounds do not stop tinnitus. The very short pulses also go to war with the tinnitus AND promote neuroplasticity. The sound changes A LOT throughout the file, so there's not really an adequate sample that would do it justice.
Yes, we are finding it reverses hearing loss in several people, it would be amazing if Tinnitus Mix reversed deafness completely!
You should turn the volume control on the cord all the way down, turn on the device with its volume about 50%, then slowly turn up volume on the cord to a low level. If you have reactive tinnitus or hyperacusis you should start with earpieces 2 inches in front of the ears, not over the ears. Start at 10% volume and work your way to 20% or a comfortable level.@R. David Case
Can't find the headphones in the country I live so will have to get them shipped. Will take 2 weeks or so.
I was just going to play it direct from Windows Media Player and loop it seven times. Do I set the sound using the headphones or the media player? And I'm still unsure at what level I need to set the sound. Should it be barely audible?
What with people saying not to use headphones when you have tinnitus, I'm more than a bit wary of trying this.
Yes, they will also work.He said somewhere the Bose sound cancelling headphones will work... is that right? Because I own those... I could just buy these other ones too - they'd probably be more comfortable for sleep.
Keep dreaming.Yes, we are finding it reverses hearing loss in several people, it would be amazing if Tinnitus Mix reversed deafness completely!
I'll be using the Koss KSC75 and they don't have an inline volume control. What do I need to do? I want to make sure I don't get any sudden loud noise coming through the headphones via Windows Media Player. You should turn the volume control on the cord all the way down, turn on the device with its volume about 50%, then slowly turn up volume on the cord to a low level. If you have reactive tinnitus or hyperacusis you should start with earpieces 2 inches in front of the ears, not over the ears. Start at 10% volume and work your way to 20% or a comfortable level.
I ordered the Koss headphones this morning off Amazon, they will take a couple weeks to get here as I am in Canada. I have Bose noise cancelling headphones, but they are too bulky to sleep with. Now that I'm in my quiet office I can say that I'm sitting in silence and feel basically cured. I have felt this way before, but, I just don't know. I doubt it will last before it comes back a little like it has been. I wish more people would give this a try.
Thanks for reporting your results... much appreciated.Yeah, I'm still doing really well. I can still hear it a little bit and it is off and on but there is no HF zapping noise or hyperacusis. The only thing I can really say is that this is worth a shot. I am half way through what Case said to do, 30 days. My only concern is that I am only suppressing my tinnitus and it will come roaring back when I stop.
I might try it again. The biggest problem is keeping the headphones on. I had a head sock somewhere if I can find it.It would be awesome if forum members who do David Case's therapy could be diligent about posting their experiences. The good, the bad, everything.
About a week ago, some person has recommended listening to Tinnitus Mix over night, with high quality speakers. This might work too, for you. But, I know that it's recommended to use the certain model of headphones.I might try it again. The biggest problem is keeping the headphones on. I had a head sock somewhere if I can find it.
I wake up to brutal static and then I put my better RIC hearing aids in and it seems to calm down to almost quiet.. The awakening noise is the worst by far for me. Maybe using David Case's Tinnitus Mix while sleeping would prevent that from happening?
(7) nights in, with tonight the 8th. To date I honestly do not feel any difference with my tinnitus. I will continue to try this. It is very disappointing to hear of success and with me nothing...Yes you can ALSO listen during the day, but if you don't use at night it will take longer to start working. It works faster if played all night wile sleeping.
Just download the sound file at https://tinnitusmix.com
Confirmed, curcumin acutely suppresses my high frequency tinnitus to below the dB level of my low frequency whir. Unfortunately these effects are bound to 10 mins to a few hours after dosing. Also, the dose is going to become cost-prohibitive. I'll likely stop spending all money on tinnitus supplements and spring for those A1 Bangkok stem cells if this is still such an issue by this time next year. That's kinda interesting. For me, curcumin works by lowering my tinnitus pretty much all day the next day after eating a bunch with dinner.
Listened to the Tinnitus Mix and I'm not going to be able to listen to that at night with headphones on as I am a tosser and turner while sleeping. So what's the next best alternative? You should turn the volume control on the cord all the way down, turn on the device with its volume about 50%, then slowly turn up volume on the cord to a low level. If you have reactive tinnitus or hyperacusis you should start with earpieces 2 inches in front of the ears, not over the ears. Start at 10% volume and work your way to 20% or a comfortable level.
Ok, that user seems to be a bit more negative lately. But nothing wrong with being a Whitesnake fan as long as you stop with '1987'...I also remember a certain Whitesnake fan shitting all over this treatment a year ago because they were convinced Neuromod was going to be our salvation. I wonder how that worked out for them?
You can play it during the day for 6 hours, but you must not skip a day for 3 weeks or the tinnitus will reform. For reactive tinnitus, don't put headphones over ear, keep them about 2 inches in front of the ear.Listened to the Tinnitus Mix and I'm not going to be able to listen to that at night with headphones on as I am a tosser and turner while sleeping. So what's the next best alternative?
Also I have fluctuating tinnitus. My tinnitus is always there, but my tinnitus is only annoying about 50% of the days, the other 50% the tinnitus is still there, but doesn't really bother me because it's low. My question is can I just listen to this on the annoying days or does it need to be everyday?
Also just to let you know my tinnitus is reactive to most sounds, however a few sounds mask it or don't make it as reactive. My tinnitus is also somatic from neck and jaw issues.
Yes those headphones should work, many chronic examples have got relief, when I sent 3 CDs to Brian Douglas he chose to give one to his friend who had had severe tinnitus for over 20 years, here is what happened in chronological order:Is there anybody here who tried Tinnitus Mix with severe long time tinnitus?
I don't mean it funny but I'm really kind of scared to try this regarding the sounds. Apart from the fact that I can't Imagine sleeping to this.
Another thing. I have some Koss Pro Porta Stereo here. I wonder if they could work?

Yes I know, Tinnitus Mix works for about 50% of those that follow instructions. Sorry you are not of the 50%. I hope you find relief somehow.(7) nights in, with tonight the 8th. To date I honestly do not feel any difference with my tinnitus. I will continue to try this. It is very disappointing to hear of success and with me nothing...
No, the tinnitus may come back slowly after you stop Tinnitus Mix, but if you play it once or twice a week as maintenance it will stay low or go lower!Yeah, I'm still doing really well. I can still hear it a little bit and it is off and on but there is no HF zapping noise or hyperacusis. The only thing I can really say is that this is worth a shot. You can go ahead and play during the day with Bose to get used to the sounds.I ordered the Koss headphones this morning off Amazon, they will take a couple weeks to get here as I am in Canada. I have Bose noise cancelling headphones, but they are too bulky to sleep with.
I will try this once I get the headphones in the mail and keep you advised.
Turn on your player, verify volume level, plug in headphones and slowly move them close to your head. Never just put on headphones before you turn on the player.I'll be using the Koss KSC75 and they don't have an inline volume control. What do I need to do? I want to make sure I don't get any sudden loud noise coming through the headphones via Windows Media Player.
