How do we change our user names? anyone know? I seen Sandra and Jontrast change it.

Would it be a good for tinnitus researchers to make an oath to only focus on curative research for now on? Instead of palliative changes that don't effect tinnitus. I want to see researcher talk more about ideas that hypothetically can reduce tinnitus. CBT and the TRT industry are filling in the gaps where current science cannot address. I am totally against scammers but I'd like to outright throw Pawel Jasteboff and TRT into that category.

There are people here who are really suffering and can't deceive themselves into living like this. Take example other conditions that are non life threatening like "Lupus" women who are affected are very vocal about wanting research towards a cure. I only wish tinnitus sufferers had the same mindset.

Science providing real solutions to hearing loss and tinnitus should be the ultimate goal of the community.

Establish a radical left wing movement on a Tinnitus forum, that openly encourages self pity and juvenile behavior while still claiming to be supportive of cutting edge science to find actual treatments for hearing loss and tinnitus. Act delusional as if actual researchers are paying attention to your movement and that you are doing the community a favor by cancerously advancing your agenda on the forum. Mock and ridicule any current treatment options that don't physically reduce the volume of tinnitus and criticize those who display positivity about learning to adapt to tinnitus and ridiculing them for not being emotionally unstable about it.

There are three post of mine that need to be removed and i'm embarrassed just reading them

I made a post that was completely speculative about Frequency's FX-322 having trouble navigating the cochlea
I made the assumption based on the rodent that only regenerating low frequency hair cells with only one application of FX-322 with what I assume to be severe hearing loss. Another assumption lol I shouldn't have done that.

I made a post about TTTS, and thought it had to do with the eustachian tube opening and closing
based on what someone else in the forum speculated. After reading the paper I found out that wasn't the case
I felt stupid for not reading it first.

Another post I simply made a mistake about the hair cell nerve fibers, someone corrected me as I had trouble understanding the research paper about hyperacusis.

Also I did a typo one time and put outer hair cells when I meant inner hair cells

Once again I am just a mentally ill person on a tinnitus forum, not an actual researcher. I want actual researchers to come here and do this stuff for me as well as the forum having a list about the known facts about tinnitus and hyperacusis.

It feels good to admit my mistakes

I wish all of these fake youtubers claiming to be able to cure tinnitus would really reflect on what kind of confusion they are perpetuating. I also kinda of want to punch some of them in the face.

Welcome to MPP (My Posting Place) @JohnAdams the largest thread on Tinnitus Talk's general chat dedicating to using memes and shitposting to raise awarness towards a cure.

They are right. Most people who wear earbuds increase the volume so that they can't hear the subway, road traffic or construction. Noticed that when you blast the earphones (without them in my ears) in full volume in a mobile the media volume changes its color to red, lowering the volume once it goes orange and then lowering once blue. Is the blue color 3/4 of the bar 75 db, the orange warning for 85db ? and the red for 95db?

I have nothing against gays or lesbians at all. I love my fellow brothers and sisters. However, I'm just completely desperate for a logical explanation as to why discovering the mysteries of lesbianic obesity warrant more government funding than helping PTSD'd out soldiers with screwed out ears find a cure for their ailment that they acquired while presumably serving our country and protecting our freedoms. I'm simply desperate to know the answer. Any thoughts?

Guys I have upsetting news and it's all my fault.

I think MPP actually did manage to get researchers attention and not for the better.
apparently they don't like it when mentally ill people like myself make memes about hidden hearing loss or any of there research topics.

The Youtube vid of Liberman's presentation on hidden hearing loss can no longer be played through embedding
I can still link it but it can't play hosted on, this could have happened months ago and I was unaware of it could have always been like that, most likely my fault for posting it in every thread to argue with people who said they had no hearing loss. Even if I was correct, the way I want about it was juvenile.

@PetitGarsTimide, @threefirefour and glowout are all guilty of this as well but not as far as I took it.

I know I'm not qualified to lecture about hearing loss, tinnitus, I'm a total wannabe, I just am fascinated by research knowing they actually care and it's comforting knowing my problems can be explained a lot better as opposed to 10 years ago. A lot of people on this forum spread misinformation saying they no hearing loss when they do, or worse I misunderstand or speculate something and spread false information simply due to my amateur understanding.

My audio gram fails to detect my obvious hearing loss and reactive tinnitus, TTTS
that makes me suicidal, I wake up everyday wishing I had healthy hearing not muffled distortion in my right ear. I actually want help, I can't stand knowing I literally did a disservice to the people trying to help us.

Scientist and Researchers don't need people to make memes about there work, obviously isn't the best thing for there reputation. If researchers are reading this by any chance I completely truly apologize.

Please have qualified people on this forum that can help spread information as well as the ATA and BTA and others make videos explaining the mechanism's of tinnitus, hyperacusis and hidden hearing loss broke down into laymens terms/3d animations so things could be understood more clearly? I haven't either bothered to post any of Susan Shore's research because I barely understand it.

This MPP thread is just a obnoxious way we try to get attention, most of the things posted in it are works of nonsense, I suffer from borderline personality disorder as well as tinnitus/hearing loss.

I'm having complete regrets about MPP, you guys do realize if researchers have there name Google Searched that this crap showing up in search results can damage there reputation? We're hurting the people trying to help us

there not gonna understand our messing around and think that we are legitimate alt right tinnitus movement
We're doing Jastreboff a FAVOR.
