This is one of those few moments when you think you may be in front of god himselfI think im gonna fart.
I wish... I've had T for 6+ months and it's really not getting any easier.
Back towards the beginning there were some days that it was a lower-pitched static instead of this clusterfuck of shrill screechy thingies. That sucked too of course, but it was definitely was waaaay easier to deal with than the mind-warping screeeeeeching!!
Different types of tinnitus are totally different animals. I must say, if God exists I think he deserves a medal for being so brilliantly sadistic.
I've noticed. Mine comes and goes in waves. I've been doing research on the relationship between the two, and I thing neuroactivity in the DCN/IC is contributing to hyperactivity in the Fusiform Gyrus.Visual snow keep getting worse...Tinnitus the gift thats keep giving

here ya go:
https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fncel.2018.00120/full
"Spontaneous Hair Cell Regeneration Is Prevented by Increased Notch Signaling in Supporting Cells"
it is an on and of switch. the ability is there. that's what fx-322 is all about.
However, maybe there's an easier way.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3417821/
"Overexpression of β-catenin caused an increase in hair cell marker-positive cells"
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24328990
"Common food additive carrageenan stimulates Wnt/ β-catenin signaling in colonic epithelium by inhibition of nucleoredoxin reduction."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrageenan
it's in edible red seaweed.
"Carrageenan has been studied in laboratory animals for its potential effects on intestinal and immune functions following oral intake or gavage, with no effects on organ pathology, clinical chemistry, hematology, or normal health.[26] Dietary carrageenan had no carcinogenic, genotoxic, developmental, or reproductive effects in laboratory animals, and was found to be safe in one study on human infants.[26] "
but then there's this.
https://wellnessmama.com/2925/what-is-carrageenan/
"Although derived from a natural source, it appears to be particularly destructive to the digestive system, triggering an immune response similar to that your body has when invaded by pathogens like Salmonella. The result: "It predictably causes inflammation, which can lead to ulcerations and bleeding"
So, here's this.

I (out of desperation) wonder if eating lot's of this stuff could trigger spontaneous regeneration of hair cells. Or give us cancer. But then the question becomes, what's worse? Dying of cancer or living with tinnitus?
once again:
"Common food additive carrageenan stimulates Wnt/ β-catenin signaling in colonic epithelium by inhibition of nucleoredoxin reduction." "Overexpression of β-catenin caused an increase in hair cell marker-positive cells".
The eustachian tubes connect to the inner ear so maybe snort it? I'm no doctor.
Food for thought. This seems to me to be as plausible as adipose stem cell injections. Definitely better that that nasty Apple Cider Vinegar or the over the counter pills that don't so jack squat.
No just like 1 and a half months.so @JohnAdams so you had been lurking MPP for several months I heard?
I disagree...anything that includes "FX322 works perfectly" is a splendid thought, not a horrible one. I'd gladly sell the clothes off my back and go homeless and take out loans before you could say "cochlea".I just had a horrible thought. What if FX 322 works perfectly and the investors get super super greedy because this will be a brand new technology and they can confuse people with technical jargon and make it cost like $20,000 per ear?
Yeah but some people wouldnt be able to afford it.I disagree...anything that includes "FX322 works perfectly" is a splendid thought, not a horrible one. I'd gladly sell the clothes off my back and go homeless and take out loans before you could say "cochlea".
you are so lazy you just open up a paint program and press ctrl+IWhen I tried to upload the meme with hackervision, the picture of susan shore showed as a negative and kind of scared be a little.

I don't know about the rest of the site, but it's just kind of convention that most people on MPP are either atheist or agnostic. Sort of like how you would probably see atheism get flack on a Christian forum.I understand why people may have contempt for God or the notion of God, the creator, that's actually part of Hindusim and Gnosticism, that the creator messed up when He made the world. But this is a support forum for people sharing in a disease. Some of us may be Christians, Muslims, Jews, whatever. I think it would be better to not denigrate people's beliefs.

We don't. The most militant atheist here (Jazzer) left the post a while ago. He's just active on here very rarely. Most of us really aren't and any reference to religion happens once in a blue moon. I don't think JCB is an atheist, so she probably posted that gif ironically.Oh okay. Well just for the record Im disavowing any connection to MPP because I dont want to be associated with people that denigrate other people's spiritual beliefs, especially on a website that is supposed to be a support network for suffering people. I love all of my fellow human beings regardless of their beliefs, sexual orientation etc. They only people I would denigrate would be people that purposefully inflict pain and suffering on other people, especially children.

Other than that I'd say the only other guys I know for a fact are atheists are me and contrast, and we don't really ever mention it.
AgreeMaybe you are right JA - perhaps it's too sensitive a subject to bring up.
Personally I feel that we should all respect the right of others to believe what they wish.
