Do you have them bad? Like worms/strings all over your vision? I do, and even though I can forgot them sometimes.......they do bother me some everyday. Some days more then others. I have had them for years before T, but I do feel they have gotten slightly worse lately......I plan to have surgery for them at some point.

yeah i have quite a few, they appeared 4 months before T but they def. became way worse after
i can ignore them unless i look at walls or the sky but i spent the day reading stuff for work on a white computer background and it's the first time i've been so bothered by them on my computer screen. ended up turning f.lux to the max and that helped a bit
not many but they're in the center of my vision that's the problem

lel just shitpostan till i die

It's odd......I find them really noticable when looking at the computer screen I got at work, but on my home computer they are not quite as noticable......I got f.lux on both screens and it helps a bit on my home computer screen, but on my work conputer screen it does not....I tried different settings on my work computer screen, but no matter what they are really noticable there.......weird.

i'd guess it's either because of different monitors or mindsets. if you're in the stressful and focused work work work mood you might simply have to focus on them compared to being relaxed at home chatting or watching videos

You may be right about that.

Either way I am getting something done about them.......eventually.

Oh nooooooo!!!!!! a speaker fell on my laptop and now videos are slightly fucking up

welp, guys I'm laptop shopping and I dont know what to do i'm a poor fag, I want to keep this at a $500 budget but I'll probably end up being forced to spend more, the biggest upset is that vendors selling Linux literally are extremely expensive despite linux being free. They obviously cost more because of specialized software and support, who knows tbh.
but buying a cheap windows 10 and duelboot replacing it with linux is the way I want to go.

Here are my requirements

Linux compatibility

( I plan to run Debian and maybe another Ubuntu derivative if software i need w)
https://www.debian.org/
Debian is the most stable Linux distro that doesn't get happy merchant.jpg updates every 6 months, that make the user into a bug tester, and all the mainstream normie distros like Mint and Ubuntu are based on it.

Laptop/notebook

I need a portable computer, I can't have a freaking desktop because at this phase in my life I am moving around and I have a desk at my house I can position the laptop in to make it feel like a desktop with an external keyboard and mouse when Im comfy at home.

1tb of space
500 gb is low as I'll go.

10 gigs of ram
8
is as low as I'll go

Near silent
The Machine needs to be extremely quiet, I know silence is impossible but despite me having tinnitus I hate it when computers hardrives make noises.

It's not at all a gaming PC, just for internet, videos, music, media, graphic art production and a bit of coding

Duelbooting Windows and Linux is a gamble, the machine I purchase was meant to run Windows 10, the developers had NSA spyware in mind, during the 14 day return policy I have to rigously test the machine for graphical errors and other faults and if I find anything I have to wipe up the Linux and remove duelboot.

I'm hoping I can stay within a $500 price range.

pff.... worst of all I'm going to have to get a job

worst of all after my computer took physical damage of a external speaker falling on the laptop, it only effected the linux side, not the windows side. that's weird but still their could be issues I have yet to run into

obvious hearing loss but I wonder if he got neutrophic ear pain and or tinnitus.

How the hell did we get stuck with this bullshit I'm still waiting to wake up from this out of body nightmare

It would be nice if Frequencytx would release some damn info about their drug and if it helps tinnitus.
Yes, some patients reported reduction,
Or
No, no patients reported a resuction,
Or,
None of our patients reported ever having it.

Why the secrecy?

They dont keep it a secret everytime they get a big ass bag of cash that's for damn sure.

John, it's still very early days. From their perspective, they are trying to develop a profitable company with FX-322 at the heart of it (to start with at least). What the tinnitus community think isn't on their radar, and why should it be? They aren't developing a drug to combat tinnitus, and have never stated that they are, so why should they feel pressure to prematurely release information that can affect the company's outlook? David Lucchino has to act as a CEO to allow the company to prosper. Even if he did release some information, what purpose would it serve? We are years away from people having access to this drug, so what benefit can be gained (again, looking from their perspective) from raising the hopes of sufferers when it could still fail in phase II(a). It's better to say nothing at all until you are sure that your data is order, or potentially risk having egg on your face at some point down the line.

They will want to keep their feet firmly on the ground at this point, and run the business pragmatically. Remember that one of its primary purposes is to make money, and it's for this reason that they exist in the first place. Venture capitalists do not throw their money about without doing some due diligence. So, take the fact that they managed to raise another round of funds as a positive. It's not a huge amount of money, but I'd rather see that than no money at all.

You need patience with this one; it's a marathon and not a sprint.

and why should it be
"we're trying to help people"

tinnitus is a usually symptom of hearing loss.
what purpose would it serve?
it would give many of the people with tinnitus that have a fucking gun to their head reason to push on.

glad we're a cash cow

That's the problem though, John. You are thinking as a sufferer and not a CEO. It's not that I disagree with you, I am trying to show you that releasing information early is of no benefit to Frequency Therapeutics. They will not think with their hearts, they will be objective and cautious with their plans to move the company forwards. Their priority will be to please their investors and not this forum. This is how the world works.

as long as people don't give a shit then it will continue to work this way.

You will never change human nature. Since day dot, people have needed an incentive to help others by providing goods and/or services (money/economy). Without it, everything stagnates and no progress is made, and this has been proven time and time again throughout history. This forum alone demonstrates it often enough.

I've posted this before, but it's a brilliant analogy:

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that communism/socialism worked, and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich; a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class". All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the third test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, all failed and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

It could not be any simpler than that.

This idealistic utopia - although I'd love to live in it -will never become a reality.

Reminds me of this brilliant story I once witnessed:

A liberal muslim homosexual ACLU lawyer professor and abortion doctor was teaching a class on Karl Marx, known atheist

"Before the class begins, you must get on your knees and worship Marx and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world has ever known, even greater than Jesus Christ!"

At this moment, a brave, patriotic, pro-life Navy SEAL champion who had served 1500 tours of duty and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decision made by the United States stood up and held up a rock.

"How old is this rock, pinhead?"

The arrogant professor smirked quite Jewishly and smugly replied "4.6 billion years, you stupid Christian"

"Wrong. It's been 5,000 years since God created it. If it was 4.6 billion years old and evolution, as you say, is real… then it should be an animal now"

The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Origin of the Species. He stormed out of the room crying those liberal crocodile tears. The same tears liberals cry for the "poor" (who today live in such luxury that most own refrigerators) when they jealously try to claw justly earned wealth from the deserving job creators. There is no doubt that at this point our professor, DeShawn Washington, wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a sophist liberal professor. He wished so much that he had a gun to shoot himself from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!

The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named "Small Government" flew into the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country.

The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plague AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.

Semper Fi.

If Frequencytx would release information regarding their results from this last trial about tinnitus, it could be a major clue in the mechanisms behind tinnitus which would drastically help guide further and ongoing tinnitus research. It could invalidate or even validate certain hypothesis and save researches time and money, this would only serve to bring a viable treatment to a reality faster and help people.

Oh wait that does nothing to help them maximize their profits nevermind.

Yet more evidence that improving hearing levels relieve tinnitus. This is obvious. Only argumentative NPC's think otherwise.

I'm just presenting the facts of reality. I wish people were generally more charitable and giving to the rest of society, but that's not real life. The whole debate from last year was hinged on what is realistic and what isn't, and most of your posts are bordering on the fantasy side of the spectrum. I'm not saying that to be horrible, I'm just saying it as I see it.

Not sure why you posted this? This is already widely known, hence the prednisone obsession on this forum. This is usually admistered immediately following an acoustic trauma (a real one like being exposed to an explosive, and not a car door shutting). However, there's still a grey area here; it's far from conclusive.

This will have no effect on people with hearing loss.

Are you implying that there is no overlap between SSHL and SNHL?

You are cherry picking studies, John. It would take a lot more analysis to get a better understanding of the underlying mechanisms. People with SSHL usually have other factors compounding the issue such as circulation problems, meniere's, a trauma, infections, etc.

There's a lot more to it then you are letting on. It's still not fully understood so I've got no chance of answering that and neither have you.
